Unravel the mysteries of rural crime scenes with Country Murders, the ultimate LSPDFR detective callout pack! Immerse yourself in thrilling investigations, gather crucial evidence, and interrogate suspects to uncover the truth. Each play-through offers a unique experience, ensuring many hours of engaging entertainment.

Country Murders v3
This callout-pack has now multiple detective callouts. Each callout has multiple variations, so you can play the callouts again and discover unseen content. Country Murders has a total of 11 major variations to explore and more than 100 small variations to offer! Make sure to first play the Sawmill callout in order to unlock the other callouts!

With a complex scenario and different background stories for each suspect, there will be a lot to remember. Checkout @DPZ Notepad for LSPDFR. You might want to take notes during your journey. Gameplay

Speak to a person by pressing E. The conversation will advance automatically. If your conversation is stuck or too slow for you, press E to continue/skip the dialogue. You can end a conversation by just moving away from a person. Choose a topic by using the number-keys or the keys on your numpad. All of this is adjustable in the .ini file of Country Murders.

When faced with a critical one-time decision, the topic selection will turn orange to alert you. Such decisions arise not only when accusing the murderer but also during suspect interrogations in the new case of Country Murders. You will have three options: Ask, Insinuate, and Accuse. Choosing Ask applies no pressure, while Accuse exerts the most pressure on the suspect. However, be cautious: if you falsely insinuate or accuse suspects too often, they may invoke their right to remain silent.

You missed a line of dialogue? No problem. Just open the Brief section of the GTA pause menu to read what you have missed. Dialogs will be tracked like every other dialog. Most of the topics can also be triggered again, in case you want to read them twice.

How many callouts are included?

Three! It will take you roughly 120-180 minutes to complete all three callouts on your first play-through, if you don't skip content. Play each callout multiple times to discover the variations and different outcomes.

Where are the scenes located?

Case 1: at the Sawmill in the forest

Case 2: at the "Vineyard" near the military base

Case 3: in a small village near the ocean (left side of the GTA V map)

Why can I only play one case?

Playing the first case is required in order to unlock case two & three, as a decision from the first case will carry over.

Will Country Murders be translated to other languages?

No. Country Murders is only available in English and will not be translated, due to it's size and complexity. You can configure the display speed of subtitles in the .ini file, if you have trouble reading English.

How to collect evidence?

Open the LSPD:FR menu and select "Inventory". Here you can choose to place an evidence marker. Place such a marker when you are close to a piece of evidence

How to Update?

If you want to keep your progress, make sure you delete the .ini file included in the download. If the .ini file in the download overrides your own .ini file, your progress will be lost!

Installation & Troubleshooting

Installation

Within the Country Murders download, you will find a folder called "Grand Theft Auto V". Copy all the contents of this folder into the main folder of your GTA V installation. If you are asked to replace files, choose YES or Only If Newer.

Good To Know

Country Murders was tested with the default/vanilla LSPDFR.
Third party plugins (like Stop The Ped) might interfere with Country Murders, I can give you no support in that case. Do NOT search anyone with STP, the contraband and items are not related to the Country Murder case.
Controller / Game-pad input is not supported by me for this plugin.
Radio subtitles are not synced with the audio.
Country Murders adds a console command to your game. "CountryMurdersConfig" does restart the config. Will not affect running callouts.

Troubleshooting

Ensure that you have followed the instructions within the ReadMe
Ensure that the callout was installed into your GTA directory
Ensure you have installed all requirements
Ensure that you have at least RageNativeUI 1.9.2+
1. You must install RageNativeUI, it is not included
2. You might have downgraded it by installing a plugin that is bundled with an older version of RageNativeUI

How To: Report a Problem

If you still have problems contact me via private message and attach the RagePluginHook.log. I can't help you without this log file! Ensure to describe your problem in detail and think about adding a screenshot. Let me know what you already have tried to solve the problem.

Very Important

Always attach your RagePluginHook.log when reporting a problem.
Read the steps carefully!
If you don’t follow these steps I may just respond with “Read the plugin description again”.

Great idea and Plugin
But the only thing is when i accept the callout and go down to the place, nothing happens. I can't talk with anyone and can't do anything, can anyone help me?

Love this callout but there are 2 problems:

1: MOTEL CASE doesn't start

2: In the SAWMILL case, when the questions menu shows up, the game crashes, not every time but most of time it does...

Warning

If you use an alternative plugin to start callouts you may see a second callout. This are only the left overs of something that I have abandoned for now. Stick to the LSPDFR default way to start callouts to not get frustrated. There is only ONE callout in this plugin. I may remove this with the next patch. "

I just dusted off the code, build it without changing and played the callout. It works like a charm with all variations the callout has to offer. If the sawmill case is not working, your installation is faulty. For the motel case, see what @unitedOrange66 posted.

ty for answer, but i can't understand. Why my installation is faulty? I installed callout by default, like any other plugin or you mean to work fine with callout need to wait call by lspdfr default, not using callout plugin to start a call?

I ask because i only use callouts that can be used Offline.

every callout requires internet connection for LSPDFR to work.

I have a few callouts that works while im playing LSPDFR OFFLINE. lol Maybe next time get your Facts Straight 😉

Incorrect. Only certain plugins and callouts that their functionalities depend on the connection to an online server, then internet connection is required. The perfect example is Bejolijo's plugins. Any other plugins that are not hosted on a server do not need internet connection for it to function properly.

No online connection required. I don't like this myself. You can play all my plugins (... two 😅) offline.

Thank you so much, sir! Now it works fine. I'm glad. The call is cool, i would like to see more detective callouts from you, maybe unfinished motel call in the future. It would be great that after investigation next step it will be do a special operation with swat or just police/sheriff to arrest the suspect in his house/appartment/work place (more roleplay and different scenarios).

Sorry but I will not integrate dependencies to other mods. I like that my mods are standalone. Having standalone mod reduces my development efforts and I don't want to force dependencies on my users. Additionally I like to use the little time I have for coding to implement new unique content, instead of 3rd party mod integration.

Just by the way, there was a video uploaded to YouTube last week in which my mod was played and callout interface was active at the same time. So it seems to work already to some extend.

it works, but not ''completely'', also i believe that the only thing u would have to ''depend'' on is adding the CalloutInterfaceAPI to the download which isn't often updated either, it could be a nice little detail to display the callout description on the MDT and people who don't want to, don't have to install Callout Interface itself

As we enter April 2024, I’m excited to announce that all my plugins together have been downloaded over 100,000 times. Your support has made this achievement possible, and I’m truly grateful. It’s an achievement that leaves me both humbled and amazed. When I first uploaded my plugins back in 2021, I never envisioned reaching such heights.

What truly warms my heart is the incredibly positive feedback. Even the release of small first patch -after my extended break from coding GTA plugins- sparked a wave of encouraging comments and private messages. And witnessing content creators on YouTube dive into my mods and have a blast—well, that’s the icing on the cake.

Your support has been the driving force behind my efforts of each upload. Whether it’s sharing screenshots, creating videos, or brainstorming fresh ideas, you’ve made me smile. And for that, I’m immensely grateful.

Now, let’s talk about the future. I’m not one to make grand promises only to disappoint later. But as we celebrate this milestone, I’ll spill a secret: I’m working on an update for Country Murders since January. Despite my limited spare time, I’m optimistic that it’ll see the light of day before 2025. So stay tuned!

great callout pack i enjoy detective work the first callout works for me but the second one crashes as i pullup to the yellow marker not sure why the first one worked jus fine is anyone else having similar issues
