This is the 2024 remaster of my most popular pack, including 21 vehicles based on the Los Angeles Police Department in California. I've tried my best to make the pack as accurate as possible, with the resources I have available. Unfortunately, there are still some things I couldn't get quite right, including interior setup, certain aspects of lighting patterns, and various equipment. The vehicles included in this pack are listed below.

  • LAPD-B-IH-R: Realistic handling, increased deformation, realistic vehicle durability

Improvements and optimizations:

  • Updated interior equipment.
  • Optimized vehicles and reduced overall polygon count, and texture count. File size was also reduced where possible.
  • Reflective liveries were added to all applicable vehicles. 
  • Various other improvements and optimizations. 

Other changes:

  • The FPIUs were moved to lapdpolice5, police51, and police52. The Impala was moved to police7.
  • The 2011 LAFD-based Crown Victoria (police42) was completely removed from the pack due to numerous issues.

Caveats

Open Caveats

  • On lower-end systems, large YTD sizes and 4K liveries may crash the game or result in temporary texture loss issues. Workaround: Resize the liveries to 2K.
  • The 2020 Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan (police9) does not have an openable trunk/hood. Workaround: None.
  • The 2020 Ford Police Responder Hybrid Sedan (police9) and 2020 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (police52) have high polygon counts and large model sizes. This may result in temporary texture loss issues or degraded performance. Workaround: Do not spawn the vehicles or spawn only limited quantities. Do not allow these vehicles to spawn in traffic or through plugins. 
  • The 2020 Chevrolet Tahoe PPV (police61) has large texture sizes. This may result in temporary texture loss issues. Workaround: Do not spawn the vehicle or spawn only limited quantities. Do not allow this vehicle to spawn in traffic or through plugins. 
  • Character hands are not placed on the steering wheel on the 2014 Ford Police Interceptor Utility (police51). Workaround: None. 
  • The handling lines for all Impala LPV/PPV and FPRHS models do not accurately reflect their real-life counterparts, notably with suspension and turning behavior. Workaround: None.
  • The grille and headlight LEDs on the 2016 slicktop FPIS (police31) erroneously function as steady-burn lights at stage 2. Workaround: None. 
  • The FS Valor lightbars are mounted incorrectly. They are positioned too close to the roof of the vehicles. Workaround: None.

  • The 2011 slicktop CVPI (police1) incorrectly used the division 24 livery.

  • The 2011 CVPI (police) would disappear at unrealistically close distances.

  • Bullets would not pass through the 2014 Tahoe (police6) due to invalid collision parameters.
  • The 2010 Chargers were missing additional white body paint.
  • Due to Rockstar adding its own police5 model, the 2016 FPIU would not spawn correctly.

the replacement vehicles are all working fine except police and police 4. They spawn in with broken textures but are fine within the files. Any ideas on why this is?

Hey @Tactical Donut, I'm trying to contribute an install.xml for your addon cars so that people can download them using LML Mod Loader. Do you think you could help with moving the folder "Depreciated - 2372 and lower" outside of the Pack Data Files?

 

The thing is that this subfolder creates a Windows Path larger than 260 and 248 chars for directory, which makes the download fail. I'd love to link this pack in our excel and contribute the install.xml for it.

 

Edit: I've added the install.xml which replaces cars. If we only use the replace models, we don't need the vehicles.meta, correct? I only ask this because the install.xml uses the replaces and from the testing I've done it seems the vehicles.meta and so on is needed for when you are using the addon version? For this feature I'm waiting on Cyan to allow to provide multiple install.xml's for packs.

I think I installed this pack right, but the vehicles other than the ones in police-police4 aren't showing up in the addon vehicle menu in simple trainer. police-police4 work fine but nothing else and the game seems fine.

Is it allowed to use the Pack on a public FiveM Roleplay Server?
I could´nt find any information about that in the description or in the comments.

How do you go about uninstalling this pack? I did it through OpenIV following the readme.

Or could add more cars for LSPD. Would it break anything?

Good pack, i have the same problem of many other people, not all the vehicles are installed, I installed this pack with LML.
Anyway the really bad thing of this back it's that the crown victoria losses all its textures if I move away from it, this doesn't happen with the other cars.
if anybody knows how to help me please let me know.

I absolutely love these but I am having a lightning issue on some models. On the unmarked CVPI, the red and blue front windshield light doesn't work properly. The blue flashes but the red stays static. it's the same for every other models in this pack that have the same light setup (like the CV slicktop). All my other ELS vehicles work just fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

"WARNING: I do not support LML. The "install with LML" option was not added by me. If you use this option, you may experience multiple issues such as not all vehicles being installed, game crashes, etc. I can't remove the contributed LML option, but I can strongly recommend against installing it that way. "

 

@Tactical Donut I contributed the XML and use it on my regular setup and works just fine. Can you please share what is the issue you are experiencing and why you are advocating to not using a tool that was shared by the creators of this community? A good amount of work has been made to make it work.

OK so I followed the instructions as listed but only the replace vehicles show up when I try to spawn them in a trainer. The addon cars just give me an Invalid Model when trying to spawn. I have the dlclist.xml edited properly with the entry, I have the pack data files installed, and I have a gameconfig file in as well. I have other addon cars installed and they work just fine, these ones just don't show up for whatever reason. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Nevermind, I got it fixed. I somehow either deleted or forgot the "c" in <Item>dlcpacks:/lapdaddon/</Item>

As it almost always is, it was a stupid spelling error on my part. Its always that one little character in a line of code (if you can even really call this 'code' lol) but you gotta make sure to get it right! Another lesson learned, or relearned.

downloaded the pack and all my els files turned into microsoft edge documents and all the zip files were not under winrar anymore. rageplugin was also crashing but was fine after i uninstalled most of the pack. EUP also doesnt work anymore the only thing that works is lspdfr
