Welcome to Grammar Police!  This plugin began as a replacement for VocalDispatch but has grown into much more!

 

Speech Recognition

  • Issue commands to the dispatcher using your microphone
  • Includes a "hold to talk" feature that simulates a real radio
  • Supports StopThePed and UltimateBackup out of the box
  • Contains multiple sets of "10 codes" or customize yourself

Grammar Police 1.8

  • Restored player status display on PTT release (thanks OfficialFlipPlayz)
  • Restored the "say again" and generic response functionality
  • Restored emergency status on panic (thanks L’ère de l’a-paix)
  • Hardened radio check to prevent crash when there aren't any results
  • Adjusted timings of (non-chest) animations to look and sound more natural
  • Invalid callsigns no longer cause a failure but instead fallback to default
  • Moved speech engine handling to a separate thread to minimize UI freezes

    Microsoft has removed the interface for Windows Speech Recognition in recent versions of Windows 11.  Starting with this version of Grammar Police you will need to install Microsoft Speech Platform and the language pack you wish to use:

Is it beacuse I can't get it to call backup from policing refined instead it uses the regular backup

Yes, if policing redefined is installed and you have it configured to use it (read the documentation) it will call it.

I am asking everyone for help who can assist. Please help with the config file of commands that are currently working. I do not understand which commands the dispatcher accepts, I am shouting like an idiot and nothing works. Does anyone have a file with commands or detailed information?

this might be a silly question but if i have windows 10, am i pretty much unable to use GP version 1.8.3 that requires the Microsoft speech platform

Im testing this now. It should work.  sorry, I love testing things but skipped this out due to an audio mod I didnt want to compromise but I did away with that because ... im rambling. okay, I'll let ya know.

It works in Win10, but you just have to follow the same instructions in the download to move to the new speech engine and language files.

I literally did it tonight and all was well after installing the new speech engine.

    is grammar police 1.7.2 still working? because since version 1.8 and up i get this message...even if i have installed everything properly like it says in the description...what is the issue? i have win11...

    Found the same issue but I know the reason as the Microsoft Speech Platform isn't installed for myself so try that.

    i have installed everything: microsoft speech platform and the language pack just like in the description and then it shows the message: cannot initialize speech engine. please read the documentation. so what is the issue here? why am i getting this message?

    The error is almost always one of these:

    1. Installed Desktop TTS instead of Speech Platform TTS.

    2. 32-bit/64-bit mismatch.

    hey would you update this in the future? to  make it work with   Policing Redefined? i was  trying to used roadblock , but it say i need unlimited backup plug

    It already does work with policing redefined. PR didn't have a roadblock feature when support was added and the developer said he didn't plan on adding it.

    hey guys,

    i finally installed this plugin......and it is insane. for me as a german it's a little bit of work to learn all of those phrases, but i love it.

    I got one problem, when i try to call the Fire Department or the Coroner, i get a message that some plugin is not installed or activated.

    Can somebody tell me what plugin is needed? i have no clue

    Could you add in a few additional phases like when Dispatch is calling you to check on your status, you can say it in voice that you are alright or Code 6. Sometimes my menu will bug out and it closes as soon as I open it, so I can't radio in that my status is okay, so I have a bunch of cops racing to my location when I've been saying to dispatch via voice that I'm code 6

    Hello guys, im having a problem with GP. Everything is working fine and GP understands me so good. But for some reason im not hearing any radio beeps. Like i dont hear the PTT noise, i dont hear anything when letting go and the panic button is also giving no sound. Ive already read through the faq but i couldnt find anything in there.
