ABOUT

Created a plugin that let's the player lock/unlock their vehicle like in GTA:O. Not really much else to it 🤷‍♀️

You can customize the keys and buttons that are used to lock or unlock the vehicle.

And no you don't need LSPDFR to use it, it's a standalone plugin.

INSTALLATION

1. Drag and drop the files in the folder 'Into Your GTA5 Directory' into your Grand Theft Auto V folder.
2. Done.

IF YOU ARE USING TRAFFIC POLICER

If you are using traffic policer, it has a feature in it's .ini file that will lock the doors automatically from a specific distance. In order disable it go to Traffic Policer.ini then in the section [Features] set AutoVehicleDoorLock to false. 
Thanks to @OfficerBenzo for realizing it conflicts with eachother.

- Code improvement

- Added .ini instead of .xml as settings file now

- Added Colors for notifications

- Fixed crash when aborting the plugin and the key fob object still existed

- Fixed not being able to lock/unlock the vehicle anymore because the thread was blocked

- Removed PlayerUnlockDistance from settings, default unlock distance is 25f

- Removed LockStatus from settings, using default lock and unlock status now

I have installed the mod but I have a problem, I don't know what is the key to lock/unlock the vehicle.

If anyone could tell me what the key is, thank you. ( By the way I'm sorry for my mistake, I'm french and I use a site to translate it in english)

the mod wont work, anyone has a solution? whenever i press the custom key used in the .ini file it just wont work 😞 verry sad to see

No longer works. Whenever I lock the vehicle, I'm still able to enter it. Sad to see this gone. Let me know if anyone finds a good replacement mod.

This no longer works. I tried locking the vehicle and I can still enter it even when it says vehicle is locked.

    I don’t know if this post is still active but vehicle keys don’t work with police cars. I’ve tried getting them to work, but it just refuses to work with police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances
