I agree mostly with T Jennings. I will however say that taking those comments into account, I think this design works as a sort of first sketch for a minimalist livery. I'd continue to work on it like you said, and take an iterative approach.

 

PS - everyone kind of knows by now I'm into minimalist liveries, but this does need more to it.
