LCPD ESU Disorder Oppresion Unit MTL Fire Truck Retexture 1.0.0

It's college time. Work may slow down from here on out.

This actually was the product of a week of nightmares. Well, the newer one, but still, I read the fanfiction 'Fall of Liberty', and there's this bit in Chapter 12...see my review there, you'll understand. So I thought in the practical sense, the LCPD would have a water cannon to contain disorder. So the Disorder Oppression Unit was born.

This is Lt. Caine's MTL Fire Truck (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of either a modern or retro LCPD DOU water cannon. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations and my skills, for example, I swear the template is slightly misaligned, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model, sadly, is unavailable (but much credit goes to Lt. Caine once again for providing a stunning Fire Truck model, I really wish the site hadn't closed now).

I cannot stress this enough. In light of recent mod theft,

DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

Enjoy!

Looks great man but can the water cannon be white like the rest of the truck instead of red? Also, so can this still be downloaded even though the original model is no longer available?

  1. Looking at the water cannon textures - unfortunately, it appears that retexturing the cannon would be an absolute pain in the arse. Sorry, but it's likely that I won't be able to retexture it. I'm not that good, unfortunately. Just imagine it's an ex-FDLC truck, if you need to.
  2. Now I wouldn't condone the shady sites, but you can still download the texture, truck or not. @Yard1 did put out a mapped Fire Truck, but it is ELS, and had a lot of extra bits that I don't have on Lt. Caine's template, so I didn't take those into consideration. I'm, however, considering taking all of my Fire Truck retextures and giving them liveries based on Yard1's Fire Truck, in the near future.

So here's that fire truck, speaking of. Sure, put this on for that for now, the problem is, there'll be weird textures on bits that are supposed to be painted grey.
