  1. In line with Donnit's Emergency Services Area Liveries mod, which makes LibertyCityPlates compatible with a new scratch-built edition of the Area Liveries Mod, I thought it might be a good idea that, alongside my retro LCPD liveries for the vehicle, there should also be a 1990s Port Authority Police Department livery for ThatOneHick's Premier Classic. Thus, based on real-world PAPD Chevrolet Caprices of that era, here are four lore-friendly liveries for the Port Authority of the City of Liberty Police Department.

Why four? Well, I thought that given the real-life PAPD operates across two states (New York and New Jersey) and runs vehicles in each state with respective state plates, Liberty and Alderney State plates needed to be included: with thanks to LibertyCityPlates creator Ash735 sending me their textures to use. Not only that, you get two variants of vehicle markings: one featuring just the PAPD crest on the door, and another featuring both the crest and large 'POLICE' lettering.

I am considering further updates for Port Authority police cars, which might be incorporated into a future update of this download, but for now, enjoy this small upload born from a small idea.

  2. Been a fair minute, hasn't it? Well, bare with me, I'm pretty rusty at LCPDFR descriptions, but this livery pack has been a long time coming. If you've ever been slightly disappointed by the variety of lore-friendly retro LCPD liveries for vanilla cars (i.e. wrong colours, wrong orientation and livery placement) or just want to ride around/be chased by something old-school, then I have the pack for you: the Retro LCPD Liveries Pack!

Inspired by the recent work in GTA V by MonkeyPolice188, these are a set of retro Liberty City Police Department liveries for @Ekalb 's Enhanced Vapid Police Cruiser and @ThatOneHick's Declasse Premier Police Cruiser. Uniquely, for each vehicle, you get two variants of design and colour to pick: two each in GTA Liberty City Stories-style black and white, and two each in traditional NYPD-style 'Grabber Blue' and white. For me personally, the former represents a canon 'Vanilla Look' from GTA Liberty City Stories, but the others are also available for those who prefer the traditional NYPD/GTA III beta livery.

I am looking at doing further reworks of my older files to a more modern standard, as looking back, a lot of them are either bare-bones, sometimes using the wrong fonts, or are just overall pretty bad. Next in line will be a rework for the Marbelle and the Rancher, and there may also be State Police variants of the above vehicles, not to mention other texture mod reworks such as old fire trucks and ambulances. If you are also interested in additional trunk/unit numbers for the included liveries, feel free to get in touch; I have stuck with one number each for the 'Vanilla Look', but if there's enough interest, I'll put some out in a future update.

For further immersion to complete the 'Vanilla Look', I would recommend downloading @Chip. 's 'GTA3 siren for GTA4'.

  3. You passed the test like all the rest. Now you have the keys to a early-90s Declasse Yosemite, which has been converted to the 'Police Package' by the Declasse Special Vehicles Unit. Perfectly capable of driving over riot debris without ripping off the bodywork, unlike Merits and Premiers in service at the time, the Yosemite Police Package is perfect for those who want to lug around legally-questionable police equipment and chase out criminals off the beaten track - at the same time. Yeah, this is what you think of when you think of a County Sheriff's car.

    --------------------
    CHANGE LOG:

v1.0, 19/05/2018 - initial stable release, includes LSPD and LSSD variants
    --------------------
This is a mapped police-spec version of Thundersmacker's Declasse Yosemite, ported over to GTA V by eljamon88 and UV-mapped by Fenton. As of 1.0, it includes two variants
    - LSPD (lspdyosemite),
    - LSSD (sheriffyos),

SAHP, BSCO, NYSP and Park Ranger variants, and any other variants that I wish to make are planned for the next updates.

    Features include:
    • Full livery support; 4K template available in the archive.
    • Full police specification, working police lights, equipment in centre console, searchlights, etc.
    • All basic vehicle functions: breaking glass, dirt mapping, all LODs etc.
    --------------------
    INSTALLATION
For those who are unfamiliar with the simple process of installing an DLC pack-based addon mod, the installation process is simple:

    1. Start OpenIV.
    2. Navigate to the 'mods' folder or create it in the GTA V folder if you don't have it.
    3. Drag and drop the folder "polyosemite" into update/x64/dlcpacks, it should appear at the bottom of the other dlcpack folders.
    4. Leave 'mods' folder. Locate 'dlclist.xml':

    GTA V/update/update.rpf/common/data

Enable 'edit mode' and when OpenIV prompts you to copy the whole catalogue to 'mods' folder, do it.
    5. Add the following line:

    dlcpacks:\polyosemite\

    6. If done correctly, the mod should be ready to use.
    --------------------
    KNOWN ISSUES
Unfortunately, I am unable to attain a properly-fitting lore-friendly JetSonic for the LSSD variant. 11john11 is said to be updating Voit's lightbar - as seen on Voit's SAHP Faction - although he hasn't picked up again on it yet. As soon as the lightbar is updated, the LSPD-spec lightbar will be replaced on the LSSD variant.

The spawn names for both version at this current stage are both 'Yosemite'. An update will eventually come to help define names when more variants come.

I am unable to check whether police lights, windows, tyres and head/tailights break properly, and whether the vehicle explodes, due to something being wrong in my game. If any of these do not work as intended, please tell me in the comments.

Any other bugs with the mod, please tell me in the comments. I will forward it on to the appropiate user.

    LICENSING
This vehicle pack is EXCLUSIVE to GTA5-mods and LCPDFR.com! Any reuploads to other sites without my explicit permission, including to modding 'databases', will result in action being taken to have the mod taken down, and users redirected to the correct mod pages.

You are allowed to use this in FiveM 'clan packs' and online communities, just give the right credits in the modpack you are including this vehicle pack in. In fact, I encourage online servers to take up lore-friendly cars like this, as lore-friendly vehicles are a niche that should be expanded upon.

Unauthorised model edits will be dealt with severely!

  4. Alright, that's the last of the state police Marbelles sorted. Just got a few more mods to upload, then I can wind down GTA IV well and truly.

This is ThatOneHick's Willard Marbelle (ELS/Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of an early 1980s ASP car. Using resources from the ASP Stanier (thanks, Abraxas!), my own mods, and many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills - for example, the Alderney logo on the plate had to be taken from Abraxas' license plate, so it may appear spotty -  so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model is located here (ELS), or here (non-ELS)(much credit goes to ThatOneHick for a perfect US-Granada-based police car, he's coming back!)

  5. I'm not finished with IV yet! Although I will say that due to the fact that I have a working and moddable GTA V, I am beginning to wind down IV modding. I'm not totally going to stop, it's just going to get less importance. There's also a few mods that I need to put out before I'm truly done with IV, so stay tuned.

This is ThatOneHick's Willard Marbelle (ELS/Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of an early-and-late 1980s NLSP car, with both old and new livery variants. Using resources from the NLSP Stanier (thanks, Abraxas!), my own mods, and many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, the door handles on the newer liveries are not cut away, as they would have been a pain to do, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

  6. Take back Los Santos from C.R.A.S.H. and follow that train, because this mod takes policing back to GTA San Andreas! Included are retextures for 11john11's Merit Classic and 1991 Premier, and now, Zenn Ten's IV Maverick, based upon the original GTA San Andreas police liveries, all as accurate and bland as they can go.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them. Hell, I will approve of anyone making any recreations of GTA SA scenes using these cars - now you can complete that opening scene with relative accuracy! Again any suggestions for lore-friendly early-90s cars would be kindly appreciated.

The models you will need are located here:
Zenn Ten's Mapped IV Maverick (install in polmav)
Basic installing instructions for retextures apply. Although it is recommended to use the model files included for the LVPD car to prevent awkward trim cutting off the livery.

This pack will be eventually expanded to include more retro-style lore-friendly vehicles in the near future. When something to make the HPV, Ranger, Enforcer, and other SA police vehicles come in, then you'll see this pack get more and more updated.

  7. Hey, I'm doing GTA V now! As a member of the VanillaWorks Discord's 2D artists team, I've gained an inspiration to make 1992-based mods. So expect a few more V mods, but I promise I won't forget about the IV scene, I'm not like that. Anyway, onto the mod!

Wanna take North Yankton back to the 90s? Now's your chance to enforce the law...90s style! Included are retextures for 11john11's Merit Classic and 1991 Premier, based upon the North Yankton State Patrol, which, in turn, is based on the North Dakota State Patrol, and of note for the Merit Classic, you will have the variation of either the 'modern' or 'retro' style livery, all with numbers on the boot/trunk.

I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them. Sure, my choices are limited for V - for one, I could be doing British, but I've decided to install my game's cars to a 1992 settings, and my second excuse is that the VanillaWorks team seems to be doing a lot of the work for me. I mean, I can't complain, really, but any suggestions for lore-friendly early-90s cars would be kindly appreciated.

The models you will need are located here:
Basic installing instructions for retextures apply.

A quick note - these will NOT spawn in North Yankton unless you configure mods to add traffic to the North Yankton map. And even still, you will have to reassign the police cars, somehow. Don't ask me about that.

This pack will be eventually expanded to include more retro-style lore-friendly vehicles in the near future. For now, this just stands as the beginning of my GTA V modding career.

  8. The first release of 2018! This one was rather tricky, as the NJSP/ASP livery is very...unique compared to the other states', and also, I was missing a crest. Thanks to Kalleboston for helping me on that front.

This is ThatOneHick's Declasse Premier (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a 1990s ASP car, with realistic number plates. Using resources from the ASP Stanier (thanks, Abraxas!), and many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills,  so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model is located here (much credit goes to @ThatOneHick for a perfect police car - now we wait for the Merit/Premier Classic!)

  9. Well, my last release of 2017. Hopefully, this will fill a hole some people have been needing. Oh, and Abdi, I'm planning on doing that ASP one as you requested. Don't count on it, though - pretty dodgy number plate to deal with.

  10. Merry Christmas once again, LCPDFR! This mod has been a long time coming, and now, it will be my second Christmas gift.

So, you've downloaded DoubleDoppler's British plates mod, but are you tired of seeing the same, unrealistically-assigned number plates on patrol around fictional Liberty City/London/wherever? Well, fear no more, as there is now a mod to rectify that - the Random License Plates Mod - British edition!

Taken from the original lore-friendly American version of this mod (if you want to download, put on a pop-up blocker, seriously), I have painstakingly edited every .wtd file (except for the Boxville, that is, for some reason, hopelessly broken) to have British number plates, with years and characters as accurate as possible - some silver-on-black plates are included in this pack - and using the right fonts and colours. A few in-jokes about the cars, British society, and other things are included in this pack, try to spot them!

An important fact, however, is that these plates will very much likely apply ONLY to the original car - if your car is a completely different model, or has been slightly edited with new bodykits or 'shoes' (which means wheels in the strange Russian community), these plates will, unfortunately, likely not work, and you will have to use the original vehshare plates. I cannot edit models, so I can't easily apply custom genericdetails to different cars. You may also notice that vehicles such as the Rancher, Rebla, Solair, and other vehicles do not have custom plates. That is not of my doing - the original author forgot to include plates for those, and I believe he has not updated since then, so I don't think I'll be able to add those. Sorry.

But this should, therefore, quench a thirst for individual number plates that you may have. While obviously, the system does not work like the number plate system in GTA V, you should see individual number plates from here on out, and not the bog-standard vehshare number plate. Before you download, I would recommend you download DoubleDoppler's number plate replacer to ensure the most authentic British experience where I couldn't replace some cars:
So in all, I wish you a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to the community. Normal uploads will resume soon - for now, I am on a Christmas break until the 27th. Here's hoping 2018 will be a good one!

    Enjoy!

  11. Have you ever noticed that the trailers in GTA IV have license plates with actual markings on them, unlike the normal car license plates? Well, these number plates are applied on all different types of trailers in game, so I made a mod to make them British! (except for a Polish one, because why not) All trailer .wtds contained will have different number plates within, and they will all spawn on the corresponding trailers dotted around Liberty City.

Installation? Uh, go into your drive for GTA IV, and search for industrial.img. I can't remember where the folder is.

A bit of a hint of what is coming for Christmas! Stay tuned in three days.
(sorry about how poor the screenshots are, I couldn't be bothered to go search for them all in-game)

  12. A couple months back, I stumbled upon a screenshot by 11John11, which featured ThatOneHick's police Marbelle in taxi form. I inquired about it, and with ideas in mind, I created a proper 1980s-style taxi livery out of it. And now, it has a permanent place in the 1980s Liberty City save I have. Thanks, John, this mod - 'my' first vehicle model - would have never happened without you.

This is ThatOneHick's Willard Marbelle, modified to become a 1980s New York-style, lore-friendly L.C.C. taxi. Using resources from both real life and in-game, I have made the liveries as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. What proved to be the most difficult, however, was the license plate, as no good-quality pictures of 1980s New York State taxi plates exist, so please excuse any irregularities with it.

I have selected this mod to replace the Taxi slot, however, if through some serious manual labour, it can be modified to fit into Taxi2 or Cabby, or with the right expertise, it can be added as a completely new car altogther. The template from the original Marbelle has been included for other creators to make their own liveries out of it - I hope to see what comes out of it in the near future.

There is one glaring issue, however - when the player enters this taxi, the destination selector is covered up by the dashboard. Since the model is optimised for the original Stanier dashboard, the model could not be moved without some serious model editing, which, I'm afraid, is not possible from me. So you will have to rely on the minimap, should you want to go anywhere in this, but I think this can easily be played off because the destination selector thing probably didn't exist in the early eighties.

The original vehicle to match the taxi is located here (much credit goes to @ThatOneHick for the original, so-80s Marbelle model)

  13. You know, there's 1990s plates, 2000s plates (the original ones), and the modern plates available for GTA IV. And now, there's an all-new varied plates mod out on GTAInside. But are you interested in 1980s cars? Too bad, because your immersion is broken with those anachronistic license plates. Well fear no more, because here comes yet another license plate mod.

This mod contains a vehshare.wtd file that contains new Liberty State number plates based upon New York license plates from around about 1973 to 1986, giving you the 'picturesque' feeling of gritty 1980s New York. And you may be wondering, "didn't WildBrick142 make 1980s Liberty plates for GTA V? You could have based yours upon that." Well, you see, that's after 1986, and so in the setting I have, it wouldn't make sense.

So there you have it, new plates for your cars that use vehshares. Installation is simple, just drag and drop using OpenIV.

  14. This is, by far, one of my favourite mods. And to think I once wrote this off as a failure back in April. However, the Vincent, after a year of lulling around in the Humberside Police, is back, and it's back with a vengeance - based off of the really-snazzy Thames Valley Police Vauxhall Senator, introducing, the Greater Liberty Motorway Police Maibatsu Vincent.

This is Ekalb's Maibatsu Vincent (Non-ELS, the lightbar version, please), modified to give the appearance of a lore-friendly Thames Valley Police-based motorway interceptor. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, I do think the front blue stripes on the pillars do stretch a bit too high, and the bottom is a pixel off, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model is located here (much credit goes to @Ekalb for...again, you should know by now) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!

  15. It's college time. Work may slow down from here on out.
This actually was the product of a week of nightmares. Well, the newer one, but still, I read the fanfiction 'Fall of Liberty', and there's this bit in Chapter 12...see my review there, you'll understand. So I thought in the practical sense, the LCPD would have a water cannon to contain disorder. So the Disorder Oppression Unit was born.

This is Lt. Caine's MTL Fire Truck (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of either a modern or retro LCPD DOU water cannon. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations and my skills, for example, I swear the template is slightly misaligned, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model, sadly, is unavailable (but much credit goes to Lt. Caine once again for providing a stunning Fire Truck model, I really wish the site hadn't closed now).

I cannot stress this enough. In light of recent mod theft,
DO NOT REDISTRIBUTE THIS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION.

  16. Belated birthday gift, everyone. Cake and Red Faction got in the way, sorry. But you know the drill, YOU CAN'T USE THIS WITHOUT THE NON-ELS VERSION. And sadly, this time, I mean it. The liveries are not mapped for Yard1's ELS version, so unfortunately, you're going to have to fix those yourself, or suffer with odd stuff on your grilles. Anyway, the mod you have been waiting for...for a long time...

This is Lt. Caine's MTL Fire Truck, modified to give the appearance of a vanilla Fire Truck with corresponding liveries. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as possible to the original .wtd textures, aided by the template matching the original livery. You may also notice that there are personalised variations to these liveries -  NEW IN LATEST UPDATE: ALL stations are now covered, including the airport! These liveries are numbered to represent the real-life FDNY station they are based on, but have been personalised to correspond with their area in Liberty City.

Below here is a map, courtesy of GrandTheftWiki, of where each fire engine belongs to.

There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations and my skills, for example, the white is too bright, and maybe some of the images/text are too big. If any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model, sadly, is unavailable, (but much credit goes to Lt. Caine for the model itself, shame we can't get a similar non-ELS model) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!
    Enjoy!

  17. One year of GTA modding all comes down to this. After one whole, turbulent year of GTA modding, this is my anniversary gift.

This is BOVRILwares' Annis Pinnacle (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a Humberside Police area car. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. What you may also notice is that there are TWO livery variations. To fit with the theme of newer Proton Impian fleets in the 2010's, this vehicle is made in both 'jam sandwich' and 'battenburg' livery. Use these with at your pleasure.

There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, there's some weird texture bug on the bumpers that I can't fix, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model is located here (much credit goes to @BOVRILwares for creating a great Pinnacle model, really fits the Humberside theme) and don't forget, don't redistribute it without my permission!

  18. Released by popular demand, (well, the demand of one user on GTAForums). Ask, and ye shall receive. There's an Enforcer to go with this, but it's really not up to scratch.

This is KevinDV/Kane104's Declasse Rancher (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a retro LCPD ESU truck. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

  19. Are you playing as the Garda? Tired of pulling over cars with the same-old American-style "LIBERTY" number plates? Want more realism (and god damn satisfying plates) in your Irish playthroughs? Well, look no further!

Hi, Billy Mays...sorry, Hullian111 here with a brand new chapter for my modding career - I will begin modding for Irish things!
Enough of that, this is the beginning of a new era, bla bla, this mod replaces the number plates of vehicles that uses GTA IV's 'vehshare.wtd' (if plates are included as their own generic_detail, or are standalone altogether, you'll have to add these yourself) to Irish number plates from the fictional county of 'Chathair na Saoirse' - 'City of Liberty' in Irish.

NEW! ALL CIRCA. 2008 NUMBER PLATES INCLUDED!
    Within this pack is now:

Note that these WILL NOT be varied, a-la GTA V. Someone should seriously figure out how to do that. Anyway, enjoy my mod, and don't redistribute without my permission!

As a bonus, this mod contains easter eggs! Put the last four or five numbers of these number plates in a numbers-to-letters convertor, and see what most of these spell out.

  20. It's my birthday today! After getting all those presents this morning, it's best to start giving back. This is the other mod you've been waiting for.

THE ORIGINAL FILE HAS BEEN LOST... Well, yes, it has, but hey ho, here's a really good lore-friendly(ish) replacement for it. It requires ELS, so people like me, unfortunately, are still in the dark.
This is Lt. Caine's MTL Fire Truck, modified to give the appearance of a vanilla MS Paramedic Ambulance. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as possible to the original .wtd textures, aided by the template matching the original livery. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations and my skills, for example, the white is too bright, and maybe some of the images/text are too big. Also, I was unable to place the 'AMBULANCE' text on the front, so that had to be omitted. If any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model, sadly, is unavailable, (but much credit goes to Dhruv for the model itself, shame we can't get a similar non-ELS model) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!
    Enjoy!

  21. WARNING - AS OF 23/12/16, GTAPOLICEMODS HAS BEEN LOST. THE MODEL FILES FOR THIS TEXTURE, UNLESS YOU HAVE THEM ALREADY, ARE GONE. PLEASE FIND A LEGAL MIRROR WITH THE SAME TEMPLATE.

What good is this car for? If you look into it, Outlook Park is basically Crown Heights. And due to it's large Jewish diaspora, they form something called the Crown Heights Volunteer Police - the 'Shomrim'. Basically a neighbourhood watch team with flashier equipment, and more funding. Since Crown Heights has an ex-NYPD Impala now at their disposal, I decided it would be great...all the way back in December, 2016...to recreate it in a lore-friendly way in GTA IV.

This is Lt. Caine's MTL Fire Truck, modified to give the appearance of a...if you read the description, you'd know. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, my skills, and aforementioned timing, for example, I now realise I should have added 'SHOMRIM' text in Hebrew, too late now, though, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

And as a footnote, next Tuesday is my birthday! Not one, but TWO big retextures that nobody seems to have done before are coming out then!

  22. That is my longest title for a mod! And also, I bet you're all confused at the purpose of this lorry. Roleplay for the OSU, decoration, I guess? But I love how corleone decided to template this. It's the little things that make you happy.

This is corleone's Maibatsu Mule (ELS), modified to give the appearance of an Operational Support Unit box van. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, I don't have Helvetica, so I had to substitute that with Arial, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

Be advised, you will need to use the ELS mod, which is located here:

The original model is located here (much credit goes to @corleone for the model itself, it's actually quite a charming little thing, maybe if I took the lights off of it, it'd be a great livery lorry) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!
    Enjoy!

  23. I must apologise for the truly shambolic number plates seen in the screenshots. The plates, as you will see in the textures themselves, are not supposed to be distorted this way. Unfortunately, this problem is linked to GysCo, and the original modder's mapping of the plates, so I'm unable to fix that. Also, I'm now dropping the Irish schedule - mods will now be churned out catering to any region of the world. Why? Ireland mods are drying up. Anyway, let's get to the hyped retro Youga!

This is GysCo's Bravado Youga (Non-ELS), modified to give the appearance of a retro NYPD van. Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has. There's a chance that the liveries may be slightly incorrect because of said limitations, and my skills, for example, the aforementioned plates, so if any problems or inaccuracies show, tell me.

The original model is located here (much credit goes to GysCo for the model itself, real shame about the plates) and remember, don't redistribute it without my permission!
    Enjoy!

  24. Tired of pulling over Liberty-plated cars in a GTA V-esque map? Want to emulate GTA V in GTA IV? Or you just want some feng shui? Well look no further!

Hi, Billy Mays...sorry, Hullian111 here with a brand new license plate mod - authentic San Andreas plates!

Each of these plates replaces the number plates of vehicles that uses GTA IV's 'vehshare.wtd' (if plates are included as their own generic_detail, or are standalone altogether, you'll have to add these yourself) to authentic San Andreas plates from 1965, 1986, 1992 and 2013, as based from GTA V's plates, and real-world California plates of the time.

A problem you will notice when driving in the sun is that the spec map is terrible. Forgive me, for I don't even know how to do spec maps - I just copied and greyscaled and scaled it down - and there doesn't seem to be any tool for .GIMP.

Note that these WILL NOT be varied, a-la GTA V. Someone should seriously figure out how to do that. Anyway, enjoy my mod, and don't redistribute without my permission!

  25. MADE WITH THE UK POLICING TEMPLATE PACK!
Wew, second mod in a day! GTA texturing is so semi-easy.
This is Ekalb/Lt. Caine's Vapid Stanier (THAT IS THE NAME NOW) (Non-ELS, non slicktop), modifed to give the appearance of a Metropolitan Police Rover 800 used by the Met famously up until 2008-ish (you may have seen it on episodes of 'Police Stop!'). Using many reference images, I have made the texture as accurate as can be with the limitations GTA IV texturing has.
However, I already know there are problems and issues with the texture.
A big problem you may see is that the lightbar is NOT just white and blue. I have no idea how to fix that without
getting too technical, sorry, and the textures may be a bit wonky and off-scale and inaccurate to the real Rover 800, because I'm not the best texture editor in the world - I have tried to recreate it to the very best, but as always, the template and GIMP 2.0 have limitations.   But I'm trusting you'll ignore, or even fix the little nitpicks that exist within my download. The original model is located here (much credit goes to Lt. Caine @Ekalbfor creating a stunning model WITH CUSTOM PLATES AGAIN (after recent discovery)), and well, don't redistribute it without my permission! Enjoy!
