The Premier Paperwork Management Program!

Quote

A NOTICE:

PaperworkPlus is currently under development for the next update. I'd like to ask for your support and co-operation while I develop this next segment, as it will take some doing! Until this update has been completed, there will be a freeze on community database slots, creating and updating existing personas and so on. Thank you for understanding that working as a single developer can be a challenging process to undertake. I will keep you posted as often as I can!

PaperworkPlus is a Windows Forms Application written in C#. This program is designed to add a whole new level of realism to your game! If you want to experience the role of a police officer truly, you will need to deal with the paperwork element of duty service!

PaperworkPlus 1.6 now adds the ability to save your logs to a public server, so you can see what everyone else is doing!

  • To register for the online service, fill out this form! (Please note, this service is done by humans and may take a day or two to process depending on how busy I am! Please be patient!)
  • Are you part of a community and want a PRIVATE database, with custom ranks, divisions and agency names? Fill out this form!

The log files make statistic tracking easy! Want to know how many parking violations you've given out? Oh snap, they're right there! Want to find out if you've stopped this person before? Click, oh look, three times stopped!

This software does not integrate into the game mechanics.  It can be used by anyone who wants to get involved.

  • If you're a player, you can use this program to keep track of your statistics as you hand out tickets!
  • If you're part of a roleplay clan, dispatchers can use this software to keep track of all the actions of their officers!

Development Roadmap!

Got questions, queries, concerns, suggestions or need support? Please use the comments section and I'll be happy to help where I can!

Please do not reupload my work to any other outlet without permission.

You MAY privately redistribute this program as part of a clan pack, provided that this download page is linked.

Thank you for using my work!

Page Edit Log

  • 17th June 2017, 23:50 BST - Updated to 1.6.1, changed the face of the page to contain details of update!
  • 25th April 2017, 17:45 BST - Updated the planned features section to include a link to the development roadmap instead!

What's New in Version 1.6.1

Released

1.6.1 Update

Minor bug fixes

  • Added the "Reset Online Services" button in the settings window, just in case you manage to get stuck trying to load a non-existent database!

1.6 Update

Wow! So much new shizzles!

  • Completed the Los Santos Sheriff's Department Section, including all the forms with respective layouts!
  • Completed the Blaine County Sheriff's Office Section, including all the forms with respective layouts!
  • Completed the San Andreas Highway Patrol Section, including all the forms with respective layouts!
  • Added support for custom department names (Whoo!)
  • Added support for custom department images (Even more whoo!)
  • Included a .txt guide for customising your client, including file directories and etc!
  • Introduced ONLINE RECORD SAVING! (HOLY COW!) You can now save your records to a public server, so everyone can see!
    • With the update comes a system of Officer Personas! (So it's clear who's posting what!) To be able to use the online service, you need to register a persona here!
    • You can enable and disable the online service as you please, you don't need a persona to use the offline system! When offline, you can use your custom rank names and custom department names!
  • With the online record saving, I have also added support for PRIVATE COMMUNITY SLOTS! If you have a community and want to get a slot, checkout this form! As a community manager, you will have complete control over your users, with custom rank and division support!
  • Overhauled the log pages, updating the imagery and wording. Now, you can flip between online records and offline records! Online records will load and display, even if you won't be saving there!
  • Included a Patrol Districts map in the download to show you where all the patrol divisions are located!
  • Included a Division Guide in the download to explain each of the divisions and their jurisdictions!

Please go easy on my database! I'm in the phase of testing to see how much it can take, so please be patient with it! Donations will help pay for a better service (I'm only a student)!

Hi there! Thank you so much for the complements, community spirit keeps me driven! :D

As summer is fast approaching, and what with my student status, I should have most of August to be able to work on an update(s)!

Have fun!

When I submit an arrest report for any agency other than LSPD, I get an error.  It states, Unhandled exception has occurred in your application.  If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.  If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.  Input string was not in a correct format.

Has anyone else come across this issue, if so, were you able to fix it?

Update: Just tried it with LSPD and I received the same message.  I didn't get that message with LSPD, prior to this current update.

Absolutely loving this! Only thing is, I can't see anyone else's reports on the Report Logs online section. I have signed in to my persona and am able to add my own but the only others seem to be the default example ones. Is this an error or am I just the only one using it right now? EDIT: Now I can see a few other reports (i think the problem was that I hadn't updated to 1.6.1)

Another thing!

Now, I realise you're probably a bit tired of suggestions but I think this one would be not too difficult to implement

A warrants system!

Nothing too complex, not even a full database of all in game names, just a list of names with associated crimes that players (who are signed up for the online features) can add and remove to.

Also it would be nice if you could add 'pursuit' as an option in the incident report.

@SgtFluffy How does updating work?  Do we replace everything?  If so, what about our statistics and already added reports? Are those saved on a server?

Hi there!

If you'd like to update, but keep your existing stats, then copy over the dataLogs folder to your new PaperworkPlus directory!

I'm planning on adding this section as part of a CAD/MDC based update.

Thanks.  I'm confused about the time layout on reports.  We have 1 : 00 :32.   Is 1 the hour, 00 minutes, and 32 seconds?  Or how is this formatted?

The time format is HH:mm:ss! Any inputs that show HH:mm:ss.f (f being a string of numbers), is a mis-formatted version of the time which includes the milliseconds.

So 19:59:53 is 7:59PM

Not too big of an issue, but I noticed that even on other departments forms, Los Santos Police Department is still the agency. Thanks for the help!

Hi,

The fields ranging from Officer Name to Agency are designed to be filled by individual officer settings! The idea is that the Highway Patrol scheme doesn't have to be used as a Highway Patrol form and can be modified.

It is currently up to the user to decide which form is used! :D

Have fun,

I'm a bit confused on where I change the agency. I've changed in the settings once I've launched the program, and edited the agency lists in the files. Thanks for the quick reply.

If you head into your program directory and read the file called "#Readme for customisation!.txt". Under the section "Agency Names", there is information on how to customise the files!

Hi there! rmiers (with little input from me!) was able to get this working again! It may be an issue surrounding your firewall, or the type of data that you're trying to submit! If you continue to have troubles, inbox me! :D

Hi there! If you're using the offline service, please make sure you're entering a number into the incident number and officer number box! If you have any other issues, ping me a PM! :D

Just FYI, you actually can have any type of incident you'd like for a report. All you have to do is instead of choosing from the drop down menu, click in the box once, making sure the text is highlighted and then you can just type whatever you'd like. I do this all the time for trespass incidents, noise complaints, citizen contacts and flag downs, vehicle collisions, I could go on forever haha!
