So for some unknown reason, after completely removing everything ELS related and re-installing it, the lights are working again. Delete everything that has to do with ELS. So all I did was see what was included in the ELS zip file, I erased all that out of my folder, and just installed everything else all over again. Hopefully this fixes it for everyone else.

I tried this earlier, still no luck. Even tried a new car that was released after the recent 1.05 update, just to see. Nothing.

hay I need some help the lights on any of the cars don't work and I did install the els files that come with the cars.

Did you also delete the AdvancedhookV.dll that was in your GTA directory?

I did... still no luck 

Other than making sure your scroll lock is off and making sure you have the .xml file in the ELS/pack_default folder, I have no idea what else you could try. Sorry man.

Like I said, all I did was remove everything related to ELS and just installed everything again and it worked. No idea what the issue was or if it'll do it again, or why it stopped working to begin with.

Thanks I have no idea. I have literally reverted back to the backup i made when it was working. I have tried every step outlined in the forums and documentation provided with the download. It is not scroll lock.  The issue is with the lights actually coming on. I have a panel and it shows different active stages. In stage 3 the rear lights work and the siren works. BUt thats then only things that work.

Mine was the exact same issue, only on the panel nothing showed flashing. My last resort was to remove it all and re-install. Like I said, make sure your correct .xml file is in the ELS folder. Double check that you didn't replace a different car and forget to rename the file also.

Okay ever since I download ELS, all my Police cars do weird things when i turn on the lights. Pls help i got some pictures so you know what im talking about.

don't use ELS VCF files (xml) with non-ELS vehicles.

I was worried about that so I only installed one new els car with a corresponding .xml file. This was done with a fresh install of els 1.05 as well as trying a fresh 1.00.  It is the only one in the folder. Yes it is in the pack_default folder.

I have same issue for past 3 days guys! I can confirm I have re-installed everything watched youtube videos and followed all instructions in regards to installing ELS and the vehicle without forgetting VCF files! The lights console does not come up and the lights do not work besides some random parking lights. Siren still work but none of the ELS system functions work for me. I'm on mac but with Windows 10. Other mods work fine. I'm stumped and pissed a bit that no suggestion has helped yet. I have reinstalled Rage and LSPDFR even a few times.

I hope that this has been mentioned before, but you do need Script Hook V or another script hook that works with .asi files. Possibly try to uninstall and install an updated script hook. You can find Script Hook V at the link listed in the install instructions. The only issue I have is the warning lights on all my vehicles have an odd pattern almost as if they reset themselves while only partially through the pattern. So when I am using a pattern that goes [Left, left, right, right, etc.} it will do that twice then quickly reset. So it would look like this [Left, Left, Right, Right, Left, Left, Right (Reset)] while the other patterns are fine. Anyone have any idea what this might be caused by?

I'm having the same issues. Everything works, but ELS. Lightbar and auxiliary lights won't come on. I've re-installed ELS twice, used backup vehicles.meta files, etc. and no fix. The problem isn't model specific as I have the same problem with all ELS cars installed.

From what it looks like ELS is not seeing the proper Extras on the car. Something that might help is to reinstall the vehicles. If that does not work then please post what is in your. vcf file for a vehicle having this issue and the ELS.log file. Please contain this in a "spoiler" so as to save space on the webpage or attach them to your comment.

That is the exact same issue I am having. I have tried every suggestion on this fourm. I have reverted to a clean install as well and reinstalled all the cars  inclduing fresh vcfs...... Im not sure why the install isnt seeing the extras when they were before and nothing has changed. It isnt one  car it is every els car. There really is not reason for it to suddenly stop working. One day els works perfect....the next day with zero changes to the game im having this issue.

Youre not alone. This is the same issue I am having.

Youre not alone. This is the same issue I am having. 

All I could say is that maybe something is going wrong with the .vcf files or the cars themselves have some issue. Some possible solutions would be to use the setup.exe file to repair GTAV or Steam's Verify Integrity option. It could also be a problem with where the cars were installed. Also what other mods do you have installed?

But how would that make sense? It works one night... the very next day with no changes to the game it is having the above issue. The fact that more then one person has this issue...means its not an issue of installation or cars. As I have stated many times... I have tried every solution mentioned here, and like the others going through this no solution.  I think it may be time for the mod developers or testers look into this a bit further. When it worked, it was amazing.

I have 5 different vehicles installed in two of the latest patchday's, I'm pretty sure we can rule out each individual vehicle having an issue.

Sounds the same as SlientExit's issue, ELS was working perfectly and just randomly stopped working without any changes to the game.

my lights don't work either and I have tried everything to fix it but no luck I don't get it one day it works the next it's not

Any possible reason that my game is as loud as it can get and my siren is extremely quiet while using ELS, almost unintelligible? 

I wish I could help you guys more. I was having the exact same issue as above. After trying everything, all I did was delete the ELS folder, delete the ELS files in the main GTA directory, and then deleted AdvancedhookV.dll and then installed ELS 1.05. I went in the game and was having the same issue again and was completely frustrated, but then realized I forgot to put the new .xml file in the ELS folder for the new car I installed (I had the .xml files installed correctly when I was having the issue, so that wasn't it). I loaded up the game and it was working again. I have no idea why.

About the only thing I could recommend to try is to delete Scripthook and re-add it. There's no purpose in re-installing GTA or Ragehook because ELS doesn't run off of Rage. This also isn't a car install issue.

Again, I have....and it appears others have tried that several times. Still does not work.....WELL.....I give up. It worked for a day or two and randomly stopped working. I have tried EVERY step listed above. Im completly out of ideas. Hopefully those  that have it working will not have the same issue.

Hey, I'm sorry if I missed something but for some reason -while it looks really beautiful at night- I can't really see the effects during the day (except for a greyish texture where the red and blue should be, it's only the flash effect that is missing), it's the same for all NPC ELS-enabled cars (also in the night).  Did I miss something? Thanks in advance.
