This is a simple script that is based on ragehook to make cars move over when only having your emergency lights running not your siren

no keys because it works as a standalone script what I basically mean is it doesn't need any user interaction it does everything by itself

I am trying to enhance the "default" without script behavior so the pullover behavior or "move over" behavior is improved because to be honest when I play the game every time I get to a crowded area in gta v I keep crashing into people because they don't move over correctly.

So I guess the gist of what I am trying to say is be respectful, don't say the obvious everyone knows this works without a script by default in gta v.

README/Install Instructions:

  • extract the dll file from the zip file using 7-zip or winrar or whatever
  • and then copy the dll file to your plugins folder
  • to here C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\general\Grand Theft Auto V\plugins
  • and that is where you place the dll file to make this script work
  • If you have your game on any other drive replace the C:\ part with your drive you have the game on.

Important Notice regarding Obfuscation Used to Protect Copyright

Due to using Max Obfuscation Settings inside the .Net Framework Obfuscator that is used to protect copyrighted logic & such inside the software/plugin, it is likely a antivirus might see the obfuscation and several other obfuscation settings like anti-tamper/anti debug/etc that are used to further protect and prevent copyright infringement of the software/plugin as a False Positive.

To Date as of 8/23/2023 there has only been one lesser known antivirus named "Ikarus" that has even thought this plugin is a virus/trojan which it is not and is only due to the extreme protection settings set in the .Net Framework Obfuscator used to protect the software/plugin that causes this.

Experiencing a CTD upon loading the plugin. No matter how its done, once ClearthewayV is loaded, intsant CTD with no rage crash log.

No ragepluginhook.txt so no logs whatsoever.

It actually is not a txt file, but a .log file that is in your main GTAV Directory along with RagePluginHook.exe and generally, it will be generated and tell me at least some hints of why it crashed even if it did crash to desktop.

I need this log file to understand why it crashed, as during testing it was found it did not cause this.

Yes it is very safe to download, it is just the obfuscator used this time, was set to very strict and due to the protection methods used might appear to be malicious to antiviruses when it is not.

Yes, my apologies it is a .log file however, it wont even let Rage generate one. I literally fresh installed rage, started the game, loaded only ClearthewayV and boom. Crash. Checked my directory, no .log file. It literally wont even let Rage function properly. I can try to cause it to crash with another plugin running first, see if it generates any information there, but if I just load clearthewayV without anything else, or with all plugins, boom. Crash. No log, and the one time I got a log, it only displayed the Rage information. Not even any info about ClearthewayV (Astro helped me confirm, no data from ClearthewayV was present in my log whatsoever.)

I just ran the code through the same .Net Obfuscator I was using before using ConfuserEX and maybe this release once approved should work better.

Yes, it was probably my mistake for using a new .Net Obfuscator than what I usually use. Please wait until the File gets approved and try again.

You loaded the plugin twice. You only need to load the plugin once.

The guy above you is Correct, you loaded the plugin twice, you only load it once.

I recommend instead of loading it manually to load all plugins when RagePluginHook starts instead so you don't have the problem of manually loading it and loading it multiple times.

@timnboys I like your new update for the plugins that deal with traffic stops. I had been using Traffic's Policer to prevent Ambient drivers from staying behind the traffic and causing crashes as well as making a traffic jam.

I was also wondering if you could create another patch so that you can run code 2 and the ambient would yield to you, as well at the intersections at the stop sign and traffic lights. I understand that there is code 3 and with that, the ambient would pull over and stop, thou Code 2 works differently. In real life, driver would change lanes as they see officers coming through with their lights on w/no siren or with horns. The flow of traffic would remain the same but drivers just yield and let emergency vehicles pass through before continuing.

Like in your video when you do it on the highway, they pull over and stop when they hear the siren and see an emergency vehicle for code 3. For Code 2, they yield by changing lanes or slowing down to let the emergency pass through as well all vehicles stop at the intersection to let the emergency pass through either with a horn or a burst of siren.

they don't do that already? as in my testing it seemed like even cars in the other lane on the highway was yielding & pulling over when I was running just code 2 as well, I generally don't like running Code 3 unless necessary, so I generally thought the plugin already did this, as I remember seeing this during Q&A testing as I don't usually ever run Code 3 unless absolutely necessary during testing & such as I generally run Code 2 instead.

No, you're running code 3 if they yield and pull over. Typically code 2, the vehicle normally moves over and continues to drive. They only pulled over and stopped if there was only 1 lane only. If there are two lanes, they will move over to the right side of the lane but continue to drive slowly until an emergency has passed them. That is what I usually run on my patrol car in real life in Code 2 because I only need them to move over so I can pass them.

also, I noticed that when I am code 3 and driving on the freeway, the ambient would stop where they are instead of moving over and yielding to the emergency vehicle. Is that normal? and also for the traffic stop, you said that ambient is now going around you. I parked my car at a slight angle to protect myself from the driver if he/she decided to shoot me or attempt to drive off, so I could chase after them without having to worry about ambient blocking me. Instead of the ambient moved over, they stop there until I move my patrol car closer to the curve, or position it in a straight line before they continue to drive. Is that normal? Is that how it should work? or they are supposed to move over regardless of my patrol parked slight angle?

I have a question. I don't know if you want to add this into your plugin, but it would be nice if you implement it into your plugin. With ClearTheWayV players would be able to responds to callouts relating to highway MVA (Multiple Vehicle Accident or T.A. (Traffic Accident)) and not have to worry about Ambients trying to run player off the road or smashed into emergency vehicle.
I think this would be great addititon to ClearTheWayV.  It would act like how C.H.P. do their traffic break with vehicles stop 15 feets away with all traffic stop and go pass emergency vehicle while in stage 3 (code 3). Vehicles would stop there until when emergency vehicle stop. Vehicles would move when emergency moves and will resume normal speed when emergency vehicle lightbars turn off. With this ClearTheWayV plugin of vehicles moving out of the way when code 3, players are able to do traffic break.

I am hoping that you're able to implement this into your plugin.

I am going to be honest with you, I don't exactly know how this might work in single player though, this seems more like something you would do with more than just yourself in multiplayer servers instead (FiveM/etc) I do not know if this would be even applicable to the single player mode though.

There is a variant of this mod for FiveM however it is not for public release at this time(might be later once I figure out how to safeguard the licensing of it and ensure the source code cannot be decompiled) but like I said probably something I would think might happen and be applicable to a multiplayer server (FiveM/etc) instead of single player.

It's a single-player thing. It can be multiple but normally it only requires one officer to do a traffic break as to any other highway agency, I can say that this can be used for 5M, but it can also be used for single-player.

Traffic break is just a way to slow down traffic for any objects reported causing hazards on the highway, vehicle breakdown, or an accident. Honestly, this move can be more useful for single-players versus Multiplayer like 5M. Don't get me wrong, I see your point but I understand this traffic break since I see it often and how it works. I can still do traffic breaks without this, but this would help me do my callout on the highway. Plus it would give you a reason for a new update to this plugin too.

I would not suggest this if it wasn't useful and help your plugin.

i like that idea , i wish traffic control was like that when you have your lights on, big trucks wont even move

I had that feature working in testing(internal) but due to it is hard for it to tell at the moment to prevent a major pileup of stopped vehicles behind you, like in previous versions this will likely require further testing & further research to perfect it.

Just so I understand this correctly, you want the mod to detect when you're running lights only(code2) facing diagonal and make all other traffic behind you stop until you move? 

I am having trouble understanding what exactly you might want, could you please give me a clearer explanation/details of what you are requesting so I can add what you are requesting into the plugin?

ye you could add a mod to detect when you're running lights code 2 and code 3 also to make all other traffic behind you stop until you move, also when you have have your lights code 2 make all cars go all the right and stop , even big trucks, bus, semi trailer  trucks , another  big trucks,  on  the traffic stop  don't let the cars get stuck on you make them go around you...

Okay, I am currently working on this however, due to the complexity of this, and trying to get it right, it has taken longer than normal.

I just wanted to let you know it was being worked on.

 

Updated Version/Upload is now pending approval that includes this with it as considered a "Beta" Feature at this time due to it worked during Q&A testing however I can only say that for myself at this time.
