Hi, I'm french and I've just uploaded a french translation for the VocalDispatch. It would be nice if you can post it on this page @turbofandude 

I so wish that the XML editor would support å,ä and ö so I can make my swedish version :(

Yes, of course! It supports the "é", "à", "ç" in french so there is no reason that it will'nt support the swedish special caracters. This mod uses the windows' voice recognition system that support all the languages.

Everybody, I was told that when you install the language pack, you have to then click the language pack again and explicitly "download" it.

Yeah;

In Windows 10 when using the built in language/speech handler - how to fix the problem when VocalDispatch is "crashing" on load of the plugins once getting in-game do this;

Click the windows button and search for speech --- click speech settings --- Region & Language --- Add a language -- choose English (American) -- Click it once and select options --- where it says speech and a download button, click it and it will begin downloading. Once it's done, launch the game and it should work!

The reason I think some people are having problems is because Windows doesn't tell you to do this, once you add the language under Speech options, you'd think you have everything installed, however you have to manually download it trough the options once it's set. Btw, no need to use the language as default!

yeah, i figured out the problem, my pc is set in french and for some reason I can't configure the voice recognition on it... and I'm guessing that needs to be set up in order for your mod to work?

I tried lots of things to setup my pc's voice recognition and it just keeps saying the language doesn't match, so it's not  your mod that's causing the issue. And yes american english is downloaded and installed. still gives me the same warning when I try to configure it.

any way we could get better instructions i am having problems now my game isn't running not sure what happened it works in game but i have no clue where to setup my name and stuff or what words work with it thanks  

When I go on duty and Vocla dispatch loads in is only saying "Encountered an error possibly relating to locale. Do you have rhe correct lang"

so what shuld I do?

There is a PDF guide included with step by step instructions for installation, use, and customization. Your name isn't required for VocalDispatch.

I don't see any crash logs in that file - did you run the game after?

Hey man, I'm wanting to make my own API feature such as plate check etc. What all exactly do I need to do that?
And what would be an example of the string used to script it.

I actually experienced this - I believe it's an LSPDFR bug. I've added an exception handler for this and you shouldn't have crashes anymore. Instead, it'll say it was unable to honor the request, and if you request it again, it'll work.

It's essentially just modularizing your code and making it a public function - then others can use it, too. An API is an API because the developer supports and explains it - the VocalDispatch is a bad example because it's more complex than most (since it calls your code, instead of you calling it). If you'd like, I could do a video/forum post on the whole API idea.

Yes please that would help a lot. I have read the .PDF guide but didn't see anything suggesting how to add in functions such as plate check, request corner, and k9.

I'm looking to integrate police radio with vocal dispatch for my own use but am new at the whole scripting idea. Would be very helpful.

However I did look into the fourm on GitHub I will study that guide and see what happens :D

Usually, the developer of the original code will have to integrate it, as they'll need access to the original source (i.e. to know how to handle the vocal requests), so we'll need @Albo1125 (hint hint man... lol) or Fink to implement it.

Well then I guess I will wait on that to hopefully happen, here I was hoping to be able to do it myself some way some how lol

Hi I wonder if I can get norwegian language.... if it dont exst can you make? That would help me alot!

i get an error when i go on duty, it sais: 'vocal dispacht: Encountered an error possibly relating to locale. do you have the correct lang' and there ends the error message.. does someone else also has this error, if so, how can i solve it? 

im having major issues with it; ive installed it but nothing works

It encounters an error when going On Duty, Displaying: VocalDispatch Enountered an error please check something about the locale

No but I did set up the speech settings in windows settings
