It looks fine in the .yft but in games it's just a grey truck glitching out? Any idea what would cause that?

Probably really late to answer this for you, but I just downloaded it. You can change the skins that appear by opening the .ytd file in Open IV and search for "skins" and change whichever you'd want to default
