(22 reviews)

8 Screenshots

See below for updated info

(working takedowns now. cant edit the whats new section)

(listed as unlocked but just ask for the unlocked version if you want it)

This is my first model created (and released). Big thanks to McGinlay customs for his videos.

Thank you to everyone who helped me in the discord servers of Mcginlay customs, Modders zone (candice's), and zmodeler3.

i have the vcf set to scan for all light stages. feel free to change.

its a christmas tree bec i made it for myself and that's what i like. you can use the rating system improperly if you like. ill still be able to sleep at night.

New video (not great)

What's New in Version 3.0

Released

Version 3.0- Major changes

1)added some more side lighting

1a) light patterns have been changed somewhat and now emissives will unfortunately no longer move with doors (not fixable due to setup)

i have the els set to SCAN for all stages so adjust that if you want

2)added interior equipment

3)all windows can now be seen out of when in car when in first person

4)adjusted the visor lights to try improve view out windshield

5)added antennas

6)window tint on rear window is now tighter around the light bar so should look better

video of changes. feel free to make a better one (i might make one later with some of what i think are the cooler light patterns)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EJTBSnQzjrg&feature=youtu.be

Spoiler

1.5-

A) added more lights due to reports of near collisions with planes. waiting for international space station to pass overhead to see if need even more lights.

B)fixed tint. comes by default with tint. included texture for no tint. can also change tint with trainer. windshield and rear window have less\no tint. not sure i can fix that       without blocking the lights

C)redid lights so now will move with front door and rear hatch

D)blue textures also included (just drag them into the ytd). however as before some of them are still bluish white instead of pure blue

(still planning on doing a no rambar version.

1.5.1-

added updated els file to add more environmental light (blue/red reflections on ground and buildings). (still trying to make it even better)

also edited it to have a nice environmental effect from the headlights and taillights.

also included els config for all blue .

can change your own file by changing slicktop "false" to slicktop "true"

headlights/taillights can be changed in the aux coronas section to pattern 12 (or whatever you like best)

thanks to GunnDawg for that advice

2.0 Big update

A) Added a version without a rambar. Slightly redid the lights due to that.

B)Added blue wig wags in the reverse lights on both versions

C) window tint should be good now including rear window. thank you JonnyXX for your help with that

2.1

All windows are now breakable

If you already downloaded version 2.0 just download the update file

Yay, tint! I was going to send you a file with all blue lights but you beat me to it.

A few issues with the new update. First you didn't include an ELS(VCF) file for the all-blue setup. Not a big deal if you know how to edit that file, but it would still be nice, and also it's no longer emitting any light forward, only behind the car.

fixed that and added a temporary fix to the lights. also added your adjustment to the headlight and taillight patterns

I love christmas tree vehicles, and can't wait to try it in the game.  Thanks for your contribution!  Although, why not package all of the files into a single compressed zip?  Doesn't make sense to download each file individually.

how to install the car plz

@mclovin109 To fix the lighter tint on the rear windows you can do it like gump: he removes a rectangle of tint where the lights are located

Sounds like a good idea. Would probably take a little extra effort to find out exactly where the lights are in the texture, but it's possible.

Suggestion for @mclovin109, maybe when uploading files, you could put a date or version number so it's easier to tell which one to download?

I'll try that. I was having trouble remapping the windows but I'll try again.

Progress made! I have zoned the texture and found out where the general location of the lights are.

Edit 2: Headlights are mostly clear, small triangle of tint still left. However, there is just an untinted block in the windshield.

Edit: I don't know why it quoted you, sorry.

I've done it. All windows are tinted, front windshield is less tinted than the others, headlights are 100% clear. Texture is kind of sloppy, but it works.

Thanks. That explains why I couldn't get the windshield to map properly. I thought it was the whole top piece for everything. Didn't realize it was split into parts.

I'll try to find the right place to remove on the back window

Did you ever replace a car before? If not then read this.

If yes then I don't know what your question is

It is a little outdated. I'm not sure what the latest dlc is. I personally use the following for all my add-ons.

This is also probably useful

Looks great.  Awesome job.  Can you make the windows breakable in the next version?

That is a potential future update. Original model didn't have. I have to see how hard it is to add because it doesn't bother me that much

It literally takes less than 5 minutes to do with Zmodeler. There are tons of vids on youtube or if you want I can help you.

Hey man, I really love this model, and it looks really nice at night as well. I just have one question: is there a fix for the lights looking a white and blue rather than a darker blue? If so, could you let me know? Thank you, sir.

mclovin109

Members Author

I'm not exactly sure why that happened. It was supposed to be only blue. If you extract the light textures from the ytd and cover the existing blue with a solid dark blue box it should fix it. I'm just not sure if it will have a realistic look so I didn't do it.

I managed to fix it. To be honest, I'm not sure how. I just reloaded my game, and it just worked. I appreciate it, though. It looks so good. Great work, sir. Oh, and congratulations on being in Jeff Favignano's newest video.
