Keep The Door Open (KTFDO)!

Take cover faster. Leave the engine roaring.

Ever needed to quickly jump out of your cruiser during a high-risk felony stop, only for your officer to leisurely step out and shut the door behind them? Keep The Door Open (KTFDO) fixes GTA V's default vehicle exit behavior, giving you full tactical control over your doors and engine state the exact moment you step out of your patrol car.

Whether you're taking tactical cover behind your door during a shootout, keeping your emergency lights powered with the engine running, or making a quick stealth approach on foot, KTDO puts complete control back in your hands.

🌟 Key Features

  • 🚪 Tactical Cover On Demand: Tap your exit key to leave your vehicle door wide open—perfect for returning fire during high-stress traffic stops and chases.

  • 🚪 Hold To Close: Need to keep things quiet? Hold your exit key to close the door behind you just like normal.

  • 🔑 Smart Engine Management: Engine stays running by default when you step out! Hold the engine modifier key to kill the ignition instantly.

  • 🎮 Full Controller & Keyboard Support: Native integration for both PC keybinds and controller layouts out of the box.

  • ⚙️ Local INI Configuration: Fully customizable keybinds, hold thresholds, and default engine states.

  • Lightweight & Stable: Runs smoothly on an isolated GameFiber thread with zero impact on game performance.

Is the ini file automatically generated when loading plugins? The file package does not include an ini file.

I mean, KTFDO does exactly what this does without all of the extra keybinds. I have Engine Always On anyways.
