How to use in RP:

  1. Arrive: Secure the area and tap F1 to shut down the road. Then use Traffic Policer 2025 to close the road.

  2. Identify: If it’s your own call, use Start Investigation. If it’s another mod’s call, use Assume Jurisdiction. If it’s Automatically Spawned - it automatically uses Start Investigation and adds the case to the case board. You just need to input the victims name. I do the victims name then perps after I find them. E.g. victim - perp: John Doe - Jane Doe

  3. Forensics: Select Process Scene to drop markers. Walk to each marker, read the description, and collect the evidence.

  4. Follow-up: Spawn a witness or a family member to get a statement before clearing the scene with the End key. And it can be on your time. This Script is either fast paced or slow it’s all up to you! Even after you end a scene with end key you can use the POI to generate leads via witnesses or family members

The Detective Bureau: Universal Investigation Script

Ever finish an LSPDFR callout and feel like the RP just "stops" once the suspect is handcuffed? The Detective Bureau is designed to extend your investigation by adding high-fidelity forensic procedures and scene management tools to any situation in Los Santos.

Key Features:

  • Universal Jurisdiction: This is the game-changer. Whether you are using a built-in LSPDFR event, a 3rd-party callout (like SuperCallouts), or you just stumble upon an organic crime scene, you can use the "Assume Jurisdiction" feature. The script will "sense" the nearest deceased subject and allow you to begin processing.

  • Dynamic Scene Processing: Deploy forensic markers that drop randomized evidence based on the case type (Homicides drop casings/blood; Accidents drop glass/skid marks). Walk the scene and collect evidence manually using the "E" key or right dpad if using controller.

  • Traffic Control (F1): It will erase traffic at the scene because sometimes they are parked on or over your victim. I also use Traffic Policer 2025 mod to stop the traffic.

  • POI Management: Need to interview the victim's family? Need to track down a witness who fled away? Use the Persons of Interest menu to generate leads and interview targets on the fly. You can also RP with existing peds.

  • Immersive Banners: Full Dispatch audio-visual support with blue banners and randomized victim models to ensure no two scenes look the same. (Text based only)

  • Case Management: Tracks up to 20 cases that refresh. Manually add the victims name to the Investigation Docket and continue your investigation until you can close the case.

  • During accident scene if you go into DMV you can Select Search Incident Vehicle and go find the perp who hit the ped!

  • MDT which syncs with the Case Board in the menu.

  • Notifications allows you to request family contact information and send the notification as well as let the Lieutenant know the case has been closed. Amongst others.

  • Three events: Narcotics Event, Car theft Event, Gang Event. Found in start investigation inside Detective Bureau menu.

  • Ambient-Auto Investigations: After you make Detective through the Dept Hub you will get random cases.

  • Property Investigations: X key, it is global, but should be used near doors at prop houses allows you to enter the interiors to investigate. Only 3 interiors.

  • DMV: You can check abandoned vehicles to see if the plate has been flagged in a crime. You can also check vin numbers for paperwork to see if a vehicle is stolen or if the ped didn't register it.

If you're free for ideas is there a way that you can have the DMV database to show pictures of the vehicle for the incident search, that way you don't have to look it up on your phone separate as soon as the make and model come out the picture will pop up of the car. GREAT JOB

I'm always down for ideas. But, putting pictures to DMV Search Incident Vehicle would be a massive project that would detract from future updates.

Another suggestion would be a csi menu where you can get upto date anylasis of the crime all updated items would tell you what weapons were used blood type if blood was found on a weapon or nearby and dna 🧬 update the final anylasis after all clues are sent back to csi would find a match to n system and you get text saying match found and the person or suspect is?

I'm going to look into this. I don't want the Evidence Summary box getting too big but I could also make a new category in the Detective Bureau menu. I can't promise anything except that I'll figure out the architecture and if its worth implementing. Sound good?

I am already beginning the phases and planning to implement this feature. I will test it out and see what it results it produces. Again, I can't promise anything except that I'll try. @nova2727

So while I didn’t add a timer for spawned witnesses because I want you to do the leg work like a real case. I did add a timer to the upcoming narcotics event. After you handle the dealer and find his burner phone using Forensic > Process Scene the tech lab decrypts it and you get a GPS location to head to the Stash house or large scale sale after 3 minutes irl but 3 hours in game. It’s shown in the first video at the top of the page.

It truly amazes me on how every day this mod gets updated to add more things to like like a true detective game. All we need now is someone to come out and make a detective callout pack then this mod is going to progress in ways that a true detective game should like la nore….keep up good work

Amy chance you can link it to compulite so if we find a name we could look that person up on computer I probably know maybe it’s too hard to implement or could we use a cctv option say the person was seen on cvtv and the facial recognition has flagged that person and last seen in this area

Yeah I chose to avoid API’s and instead built it around all major mods. I know it would be nice to have it integrated but more dependencies means more issues. I will constantly review and build if it seems logical. I hope you are enjoying it still!

There is a bug in this mod, once you spawned someone or forensics , traffic starts spawning on every pathways , ever where they not supposed to drive , like beach area, sever

Now this sounds great having your own mdt. I can see this mod progression in heaps and bounds. Say your at a scene you see tire track etc and you go on your computer put in tire tracks it scans then it tells you what make and model the tracks are from then it’s your job to track the car using your detective skills like using cctv and other items left on scene like paint from the car or license plate found if this was a accident scene or finding broken light shards

I updated to 2.2.0 and nothing but 2.0 works . I was just trying to update from 2.0 to the lates plz help

After the new GTA V update, I deleted my ScripthookV and ScriptHookVDotNet and even though they were the same version I just re-downloaded them and it worked for me. I also deleted my NativeUI and re-downloaded it too. Try all of those and I will continue to look into the issue. I am doing that now and I won't stop until I figure out why its doing that. DM me from this point on its easier to track conversations.
