NexusMDT - Texas Mega Charges and Citaions
Comprehensive Texas charges and citations package for NexusMDT, compiled from the Texas DPS Citation and Warning Guide, Texas Transportation Code, Penal Code, Patrol Guide, OHV Guide, and Alpha 19 reference materials. Includes offense titles, statute numbers, charge classifications, citation data, traffic violations, criminal offenses, and related enforcement references. Organized for MDT integration with standardized naming, accurate statute formatting, and alphabetized entries to improve searchability and officer efficiency.
THESE ARE NOT "SHORT" offense titles. These are the actual titles.
EXAMPLE if you are looking for "Expired Registration" it will actually be "Operation of Vehicle with Expired License Plate TRC 502.407"

Being a Police Officer in Texas, there are only three common traffic-related offenses that you generally cannot be arrested for solely on the basis of the violation itself:
Speeding offenses (excluding Reckless Driving when the facts support the charge and it is properly articulated).
Open Container.
Texting While Driving offenses.
Because of this, I moved every other traffic offense into the Charges section while still allowing them to be cited. This gives officers the flexibility to issue a citation when appropriate rather than making a custodial arrest for minor violations such as defective windshield wipers or similar equipment offenses.
The Citations section now contains only the three offenses listed above, as those violations are generally citation-only offenses. However, if a violator refuses to sign the citation, they can be taken before a magistrate as provided by law.
I also added Parks and Wild Life Offenses. I am not a Game Warden, so this section was compiled using the resources and information I was able to locate. If any PWC offenses are incorrect or missing, please let me know so they can be updated.
