Gameconfig.xml for LML or manual install by RDE Team 3751

This is the latest gameconfig.xml by @dilapidated, @PNWParksFan, and the RDE Team. A modified gameconfig is required for most add-on mods. We recommend installing this gameconfig using LML (Lenny's Mod Loader). If you are using LML, you can install this package using the Mod Manager, and it will load a working gameconfig.xml for the latest game version. You do not need to change the file in update.rpf, just load this package and you're ready to go.

You can also install this gameconfig manually by downloading the file, and copying gameconfig.xml from the "latest" folder to [mods]\update\update.rpf\common\data\.

What's New in Version 3751

Released February 12Feb 12

Version 3751 is updated for the January 2026 update. Heap Adjuster and Packfile Limit Adjuster are required.

This update changes the SCRIPT_XML value to fix compatibility for some script mods. No changes were required for the base GTA gameconfig.xml, as the only value that changed was fwDynamicArchetypeComponent which is already set to its max value in this gameconfig.

I have just updated the file to correct the issue in the LML install.xml. If you have installed this using LML, please update. If you have installed it manually there is no need to reinstall. No updates are required for GTA V 3586.

The March 2026 GTA update does not require any changes to gameconfig.xml. The current version (3751) still works.

did you also install Heap Adjuster and Packfile Limit Adjuster ? Also the mod got updated yesterday for the recent version . i installed it and it works fine

Yes, I've had all of that installed and haven't changed anything except updating LSPDFR, Rage, and Scripthook; now my game isn't working.

My game was running great for months, and this update broke my game, I guess....

also when the game updates you need to install everything in the mods folder again from the begining otherwise it doesnt work.

if you use open iv that is.

Not really? Thats only when you update the game and your mods (if they do get updated or just simply work somehow).

Downgrade is still an option so you can just keep it that way.

I installed it manually. When I added the gameconfig and loaded up, where it says "Initializing Story Mode" or smth, it crashes.

Could be an outdated mod or GTA is taking a bit to actually load it.

I fixed it. Turns out it wasn't the config, it was something in the mods folder. I don't know what cause I just deleted the mods folder and remade it.

Ah. Gotta love when that happens. *:)* Absolute pain in the ass when you have a bunch of mods. Let alone having to edit the backup sometimes..... ☠️

How can I tell if I have LML in my gameconfig.xml please?

I have the props installed for Parksfans but I don’t want to ruin my current config I took time building.
