This was my first release for gtav and I've come a long way since then. It has been several years since I have even looked at this vest pack and I likely wont pick it back up any time soon due to my focus shifting to other things. There are now many higher quality options available, both free and paid, and the version of eup these were built for is now outdated.

 

With all that said if you still wish to use them the textures will most certainly work with the proper vest models as they utilized vanilla vests (.ydd files). However you will likely have to find those vest models and install the textures to them on your own as the install instructions are most certainly outdated for newer versions of eup.

 

Thanks for the support on this file over the years! Hopefully it is still useful to someone.

My first upload to the site I hope you all enjoy!

This pack started out as a single K9 vest for my own game but due to the interest in it I decided to make a few more and share them with everyone.

 

- These are vest skins for EUP with lots of options for each vest.
- Included so far are a vest for longsleeve uniforms, a vest for shortsleeve uniforms, and a vest for plain clothes units with several patch options for each.

 

- There are patch options that will work with any uniform (police, sheriff, etc.) and Lore specific options as well (LSPD, BCSO, etc.)
              - Patch options included so far :
                            -Police (flag or K9, 2 fonts)/ Sheriff (flag or K9, 2 fonts, Yellow k9 unit)/ State Police (flag or k9)/ Highway Patrol (flag or k9, 2 fonts)
                          

                           - Plain Clothes vest has 5 versions so far.

                                            -Police, Sheriff, or LSPD with 3 patch options for the back - gang unit / narcotics unit / auto theft task force.
                                            -I have added 2 early versions of U. S. Marshal skins as requested. These will be redone when EUP 8.0 releases.

                         

                           - Lore specific patches have been added:
                                       -LSPD (flag or k9)/ BCSO (flag or k9)/ SAHP (flag or k9)/ LSSD (flag or k9)/
        
                                       -Shortsleeve vest only as of this update:        

                                                     -PBPD-Paleto Police (flag, 2 styles)/ GSPD-Grapeseed Police (flag, 2 styles)/ SSPD-Sandy Shores Police (flag, 2 styles)/

 

-As a bonus I've included a Gang Unit skin for the smaller vest I planned on redoing it but until then I will share it so anyone who wants it can enjoy it.
 

-As always be sure to back up any files you replace before replacing them!
-Should be obvious but you NEED to have EUP installed.

 

-Installation Readme inside download.

The file is fine its most likely your internet browser having a download issue. Its not downloading the file correctly and basically saying its corrupt when you try to open it. I've messaged you back on discord with some solutions for you.

Man respect your work, I like what you do, but for me, as it is now, it seems harder for me to install each vest. The previous version of 7.5 was easier than it was loaded directly into the folder. As in the pictures:

 

The ones in the image are for 7.5 EUP version

Use the install readme files.

 

The install is exactly the same as 7.5 nothing is more difficult. The readme file lists the install locations for 8.0 as well as the same step by step instructions for installing the skins.

 

I will change the name of the folder in the download when I get a chance to avoid more confusion like this. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

    I've seen it write down where to install longsleeve and shortsleeve, but I'm messing with the departments. I do not know where each vest comes from each department. But thank you anyway 🙂

    I am having trouble with the Plain Clothes Vests, seems like the positions of the texts are in the wrong place.

    I followed the instruction from the readme file but I can't make this vests work.

    Seems like even tho the plain clothes vest isnt in the eup folder somehow eup 8.0 replaces the model with a different vest. The model is different thats why the textures arent working right on it.

     

    I'll work on a fix for it and try to make it so both vest models are available.

     

    In the meantime if you want to shoot me a message here or on discord I can get it working for you now.

    Can you make real vest after Lapd ,Lasd ,CHP, Park Ranger and others ?

    I will put them on my list! A lot of people use LAPD replacements for LSPD and LA Sheriffs for Los Santos County so that's a good idea. I will be adding more us marshal, fbi, etc so I suppose I could expand into some of the more commonly used real LA departments as well. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Yes, I know that at the moment, I use Lspd and rest, until somebody makes a California EUP pack containing Lapd, Lasd, CHP and others.  I like to use more real ones.

    What do you think about "MEDIC" vest? Police are using it as vests for Paramedics.

    I can do a medic skin. Maybe for one of the detective vests from eup 8 or the plain clothes vest from my pack rather than one of the bigger tactical style vests.

    Is this mod affected by EUP 8.1? I know that for BCSO you`re still working and I`m waiting for your update, but there is no disclaimer for this mod. Thanks in advance!

    The vest pack has been updated to work with 8.1 however I haven't done an update to add the new 8.1 vest models and things yet but the pack will work for you no problem. I have a whole ton of new vests 3d mapped and everything I just haven't put another update together for it yet. Also the Blaine update is out now posted on Modification Universe a few hours ago and there are actually a few new vests in that one too that aren't in the vest pack.

    I followed the instructions, installed in the places specified - yet there is nothing in Undershirt #10 for plain clothes, if anyone could help me, i'd appreciate it!

    I CANT SEEM TO FIND WHICH FILE TO REPLACE THE IN GOD WE TRUST K9 VEST WITH. I DONT SEE THE .YTD FILE IN THE DOWNLOAD

    There are no ytd files in the download only dds files. You need to open one of the ytd files for that vest in openiv and replace the skin inside it with the dds file from the download.
