2012 Ford Crown Victoria NYPD v2

   (18 reviews)

4 Screenshots

- This is a Ford Crown Victoria P71 from the NYPD with a Federal Signal Vision SL lightbar.

- This car trys to be as close to the real one as possible.

- ELS settings: E-01R and C-01

- ELS v7 settings: WRNL: H-00 PRML: E-26 SECL: E-18

- I suggest using light enhancing mods for a better look in game.

Did they even make CVPI's for 2012?

Technically they were discontinued in 2011 but were still being distributed in 2012, so makes sense.

The car is called 2012 CVPI because of the NYPD livery. NYPD started using "NYPD POLICE" written on the front and back, instead of just "POLICE". So while the crown vic is a 2003-2011 the paintjob on it, is 2012+

Some cars have red there, but some of them (the newer units) have white glass there, with forward facing and side facing red led, and rear facing blue light. Like here:

What police interceptor badge? It's right there on the left side of the trunk. And the impala doesn't have police interceptor badge.

ah my bad

confused it with another mod

the Impala doesn't have the Police Interceptor badge, yes

but IIRC it had the 'IMPALA LS' badge from IRL photos that i've seen

As much as I love these cars you've made, the Vision SL you used has very tiny lights. It makes them look bad, as well as the TA, most light bar lights look washed out, dim, or just barely visible. Please, make the light texture areas bigger. I've tried other textures, other/no ENB; nothing works.

You mean the ELS lights? Yeah I agree, they aren't exactly as big as I'd want them to be. I tried making them bigger, but it's a bit of a problem with the model, which I'm not really good at editing. I'll try to work on that some more.

If you, however, mean the lightbar itself, or the modules, they were scaled to the actual size from real life pictures, so they should be bang on as big as they are irl.

Oops I forgot to mention, that I'd suggest increasing a light enhancing mod (that modifys visualsettings.dat), that kind of helps the els lights, although I admit it won't fix it.

Do you have an ELS config file for this and the Impala? I'm using the default config that comes with ELS 7 but the light patterns are a little weird and aren't in sync with each other.

the impala in that photo with the cttf car is older then the crown vic ... when you look at the licence plates the small 08 in the bottm corner next to the 4 digit car number is the year the car was purchased...

Great car but in the trunk you have 09 on it instead of 12 for the year of the car

Oh holy shit, I didn't know those were the year numbers. Nice find and thanks for letting me know, I'll be updating that in the next version.
