The siren sounds great! Just a shame there's no priority siren.

This siren is a masterpiece for a game, and I can only wonder how you managed to get the wail random tones and it still loops perfectly. It was also a genius idea putting the yelp in spot of the wail, and gives more 'interface.' Thank you so very much for a wonderful job and this is by far one of the most appreciated mods I've downloaded (best siren, I think too, I love the FS).

I also put in the priority tone in place of the yelp position on the ELS display and it is a perfect siren, love the tones, and those two of my favorite tones including the airhorn plus my favorite FS SS hyperyelp makes it unbeatable.

Wow, thank you for the amazing compliment marine. When I made this simple siren I never expected it would garner such a reaction from someone. It was simple, really. I believe GTA IV runs a constant loop of whatever tone is in the traditional Priority wav slot, and simple mutes/unmutes it when it's activated, whereas the Wail and Yelp WAV slots only start looping once they're activated and stop when they're not in use. The key to making the random wail tone loop perfectly is just to make sure it would loop perfectly in the other slots too, that's all thats needed. And the FS SS is pretty close in tone to the 80k, I'm curious as to how it sounds. Could you record a video for me? The only reason I didn't include a priority tone is because this is a 20+ year old siren and does not really have a priority tone, unless you count Hetro, which I can't find a good quality source to use.

Anyway, I'm ecstatic you enjoy it so much. Just reaffirms in my mind that I should be modding GTA IV, I wasn't so sure when I started. I don't want to put my name behind any mod that I wouldn't thoroughly enjoy to use myself and I have pretty high standards for what I put in my game.

This siren is awsome. I have a problem of the siren sounding quieter than other sirens in game. Is there a way I can increase the volume of this custom siren?

In game adjustments don't work.

I'll work on getting it louder and release another version if I can increase the volume without substantially decreasing the quality. Thanks!

And the only way to increase the volume is to edit the HORNS.ivaud wav files, which is strictly forbidden and if you modify my file you will find a team of men kicking down your door, confiscating your computer and we'll get your dog too.

This is the Best siren on lcpdfr for my needs, can you just please reverse the yelp and wail, and then also add a hyper yelp or something>

This siren WOULD be awesome if the wail and yelp were reversed. if the wail was primary and yelp was secondary. instead of just pressing g and going strait to yelp.

bnsfdash9 sorry for the delay in response, I was without any of my original mod files. I will be releasing an updated version where I can do that, with the advent of ELS V7 I no longer need to have Yelp in the primary slot. I did do it for a reason, and that is to get the effect I did with the Wail, which has to be placed in the POLICE_WARNING slot within the IVAUD.

That said, with ELS V7 and a slight modification to the audio quality I'm able to add the Wail tone back in it's original slot, with yelp where it's supposed to be, and a second Wail tone in the POLICE WARNING slot so as to keep the effect of catching the Wail tone mid-cycle.
