[DEV] 2011 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor (CVPI) 1.7

2011 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor - Development Resource
by Murphy

======================================================

I have never been truly satisfied with Crown Victoria modifications for Grand Theft Auto IV and V, so I set out to make a new standard in the modding community.

I present to you, the "new" 2011 Crown Victoria Police Interceptor! A highly accurate and fully functional representation of the car for GTA V!... And it is an open development resource!

Most development resources of the CVPI for GTA IV, GTA V, etc, are pretty good; however, they are very inconsistent with one another. Whether it be how the lights look, the model quality, the textures, or how the model functions.

This model takes the best from CVPI models, along with brand new components I have worked on, and puts them all into one! - Forming a near photorealistic 2011 CVPI for your use.

===============

  • Full level of detail modeling (LOD), including L0, L1, L2, L3, L4
  • Photorealistic headlights, tail lights, turn signals, dash lighting

  • If you use this resource, please credit those mentioned in the credits, as well as Murphy.
  • When looking backwards, the camera looks through the headrests.
  • Gauges are inaccurately calibrated. This cannot be fixed in the GTA V game engine yet.
  • Rear door cards are not 100% accurate. The upper portion is slightly off.
  • Engine model is not 100% accurate. - May be improved in a future update.

Ok, I didn't quite know if it was something I was doing or not.

Awesome I'm glad I could help you find that bug.

Don't worry; it's not your fault. It's mine for not double-checking before release. I also realize you mentioned it was likely the UV mapping, which you are correct about.

A fix will be released soon, once I get the chance. Thanks.

Oh, I was talking about the COL issue of mine.

As for the uv mapping, don't blame your self it's just a small mistake and everyone tends to make a few here and there.

Thanks, I appreciate your kind words. I guess I got you confused with another member in the multiple quotes I made.

Either way, I will work to have all issues fixed by the end of the week or early next week.

Sure, I can look into this for you. I can't guarantee it for the next update, though. Probably for an update afterwards.

I left this feature out on the current releases, so the rear windshield had a rear defroster.

In the meantime, if you import the glass windows from OfficerUnderwood's DEV CVPI, his windows and templates will work by simply swapping the parts.

EDIT: One thing to know about this model is that parts are practically interchangeable between almost all GTA V CVPI models, including this one.

How Come There's No Window Template??

I didn't get to it yet. I need to create new UV mapping before it meets the level of quality I would like to publish, then it shall be released. I will have to find time for this soon.

In the meantime, importing and using the windows and template from OfficerUnderwood's DEV model should suffice. There is no need to relocate the windows imported from his model, as they're in the same exact position.

@Murphy  would it be possible for you to do a 2005 version of this?

You could probably take some parts from this car like the trim.

I will consider it. It will take some time, though. I will look into it. I know the seats and window switches are different. The dials on the 2011 CVPI are the same as the 2006 CVPI.

Indeed, it is very possible.

Thanks. Yes, that would help.

I already have some parts that would be suitable for a 2005 model, but I can check other submissions, such as that one, for additional parts.

Indeed, as it will for many others. I am taking your request into full consideration. :)

I'm having a weird issue. None of my lights want to show through your windows. I've put them up in the hierarchy, and also above the whole material hierarchy. I'm not sure if this is your model, or something I'm doing wrong.

In the case that you're still having this issue, please see this thread on the forum.

It's pretty much what I explained here earlier, but with images as well. It's all just a result of material organization.

Don't worry, it's being considered. I have a lot of projects on my todo list at the moment, but it is there.

Ok. When I go ingame and I go into the trainer and select liveries and try to scroll it doesn't work. Plus I already have the livery flag set.
