  1. I'm curious as to what supervisory officers would do in a LCPDFR round.
  2. haha! I really was not expecting it to be the computer's RAM that put it at fault... if only I could get them to sync together.
  3. After some investigating, I've found the problem. I'm not sure why, but this new computer of mine has ELS lights flashing extremely fast when the .ini file's speed setting is left at '0.' I have to change this to 1.7 - 2.1 in order to have them flash at a proper speed. When the .ini speed setting is modified in any way (I've tested it from .1, .2, .3 all the way up to 2.5 - I have tested with both v5 and 6), regardless of where it is, anything over 0 causes the reflection of the lights to flash rapidly and not with the actual flash of the light; even when the lights are burning solid on the vehicle. Thus, it seems I am stuck at leaving the speed setting at 0 and having the lights flash extrmely fast on the car, or turning it up and having the lights flash normally and just have the reflections act silly. Are there any remedies to this? Does the .ini file have a setting to change the speed of the reflections or sync them with the actual flash of the lights on the car? Thank you for your help.
  4. Nothing that I know of. It just happened one day. Every vehicle running ELS does it now and I can't seem to figure out why. The only thing I changed was the flash speed setting in the ELS .ini file as the lights, when set to 0, flashed way too fast. I also reverted this setting to see if it made any difference, but no such luck. EDIT: Forgot to mention, the day before this happened I modified the texture of one of the vehicles I had, the livery or "sign" textures for 'police' all had the same vehicle number, I changed that so each .png had different numbers.
  5. After a day of having everything running smoothly - no bugs, crashes, weird events, ELS lights flashing at a proper speed, etc - this fun problem started to happen. When ELS is running, the reflections seem to show up as if the lights on the car are flashing at some insane speed, even when the lights are burning solid (example, using 'H-03' for secondary lights) they reflect as if they were flashing. Is there a solution to this? All help is greatly appreciated!
  6. Wonderful help, thank you so much!
  7. I will be back from Chicago this Thursday morning. If any of you would like to play then, let me know! GFWL: BULLETS OF LIFE
  8. That sounds like a plan! Thanks for the wonderful offer!
  9. Yeah, its a real shame that happened...
  10. It'd be great to find an alternative to TeamSpeak. I'm getting tired of its up and down situation.
  11. I wasn't calling you one. Simply offering advice, no need to take offence. Nevertheless, it could very well be your graphic card. I had a problem with it myself, switchable graphics can be quite annoying. Regardless, the best of luck sorting it out.
  12. If you haven't already, one thing that can help this (given that it is not your internet connection causing that message) is to end some of the processes running in the background of your computer. CTRL+ALT+DELETE and go to task manager, there's a tab called processes. Basically end each one that you don't need running - which for the most part is every one (unless you're using team speak or some additional program that needs to be up during the game) that is there aside from explorer.exe and dwm.exe (this second one might be different if you're running something other than Windows 7) and the ones that don't have a username next to it. Hopefully this helps.
  13. Last game kinda fizzled out! Anyone want to start up a new one?
  14. Absolutely shocked how long tonight's game lasted from approx 12.30 MST to 00.17 MST!!! I had a great time with all of you. A big thank you to the two who stayed the entire time with me! (PS. Still shocked the last round, with over 10 people and all kinds of chaos, did not crash - NOT EVEN ONCE!)
  15. Tonight's game was insane!!!! I loved it!
  16. Not much at all. We aren't using any mods aside from DAS (and obviously LCPDFR); so as long as you can connect to Social Club and Live, you're all set. Join us in Team Speak and we'll get you an invite
  17. Lets just use the vanilla vehicles for now. So far it is just me. I messaged a few people but no one's gotten back to me. I'll be in TS waiting
  18. Just getting on TS now, any vehicle mods?
  19. If you'd like, we can run a name now, or in an hour. I'm free for a while.
  20. Fantastic! I'll join you then. Same rules as yesterday regarding mods, or are we opening that up?
  21. Anyone running/would like to run a MP game some time today? Now is even good! If you'd like to use modded vehicles, just let me know.
  22. http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=582 http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=356 http://gtapolicemods.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=227 Among a few unmarked That particular set with ALM activated to keep the state police livery in Alderney. I mainly use the one with the single blue strip around the rest of the city. Non-ELS for the AI, and ELS for myself.
  23. Thanks for the help, I've removed the mods and other items, and will join in a few moments. I'll poke my head in TS now.
  24. I'd like to join, but I have the ambulance (non-ELS) modified, as well as the handgun, and cannot seem to find my backup files to replace them. Any chance I can still join despite this?
  25. What do I do at this point? Anything in particular? When do you guys have a match? Any procedure to get me started?
