Can anyone help me out - Explorer PI Photos
NickieB replied to NickieB's topic in General & Miscellaneous Discussion
I know! I turned to the site hoping someone snapped a photo one day and they have one laying around. Below is a perfect example of what I'm looking for. Besides the color/wheels of course. I have a feeling I'm going to end up using the photos below and just editing it in photoshop to be black and have the correct PI steel wheels. I wanted to try and avoid having to do that because I want to keep as much of a real looking car as possible. EDIT: So i played around with the top one in photoshop and it doesn't look that bad changing the color of the car. Obviously a genuine photo would be optimal but I don't have a lot of time so I can't be to picky. I'm going to scout the Ford dealer tomorrow in between classes to see if I can get lucky with a PI sitting around or even a black civilian Explorer -
Community - I need your help. I'm working on a project for a local dept. and I need some decent side/rear shots of a 2014/2015 Explorer. Preferably straight on shots, nothing on angles, the color being black with the PI steel wheels, and without any graphics (ie an unmarked car or a car waiting to have graphics applied). The higher the res the better. I know I'm asking for a lot but my searches aren't turning up what I'm looking for and I'd really appreciate any help anyone can offer. Feel free to PM me or just post links. Examples below. https://rwshiftinggears.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/11-honda-accord-ex-l-side.jpg http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hub/119820/file-284957349-jpg/images/8819_st2400_119.jpg?t=1423097281015 THANK YOU!

what modeling programs do you use to avoid rc20 error?
NickieB replied to ghost128's topic in Tutorials & Questions
You must use zmodeler at some point in the process. Zmodeler is a must and you can do everything that you need to do with zmodeler. 3DS is a extra option that has better features and is easier to model with. As he said above, you can't use CAD programs. If you ask anyone what they use, they will say either Zmodeler, or Zmodeler and 3DS. Its not like graphic design where you have countless programs to choose from and can easily move across different platforms. Unfortunately thats just the way it is. There are some good tutorials out there to help get you started in zmodeler. -
Here in Wisconsin, or at least my local sheriff's dept. you need to have a minimum of 60 college credits to even be considered. You don't technically have to have a degree, just 60 college credits. Although 60 credits is almost enough for a associates anyway. Doesn't mean that you'll get hired if all you have is the 60 credits and nothing else but thats all thats needed to apply.

Exactly like Yard1 said above, the US was one of the worlds superpowers but they still flew 2 planes into the trade towers and the pentagon killing thousands of people. They have resources, and with those resources comes access to things we probably can't even imagine. Now they've shown that they have the brains and ability to implement these attacks so we must take them seriously. If you think about it when it comes to mass transit, buses, subways, etc., if there was an organized attack throughout the course of a day or multiple days think of how many people you could infect with some virus or disease. In short time we could have a huge problem on our hands, be it the USA, UK or wherever. They found the cracks in airline security to make 9/11/01 a success, so I don't doubt them in the least to be able to find the cracks somewhere else.

I also always included all blue ELS texures with my releases. Like everyone has said though you can make those edits yourself in a matter of minutes (a little longer the first time since you have to learn how)

What's the name of this song?
NickieB replied to GTAIVCode3's topic in General & Miscellaneous Discussion
Its probably something unique to the production studio, just something that they whipped up. I've also tried to find music thats been in stuff like that with no results. -

Yes, IONs in real life at actually quite small. A lot smaller than you would think. I would also say scale them down. Another thing - it seems like part of the prisoner partition is poking through the rear passenger window. If you look at the photo you can see a tiny bit of grey toward the top of the window. Could just be scaled down slightly to fix the issue. Also I would say eliminate the ION on the door pillar, it looks out of place. -

NickieB's Basic ZMOD Import/Export Tutorial
NickieB posted a tutorial in Vehicle Modification Tutorials
NickieB's Basic Zmodeler Import/Export Tutorial I took this down a long time ago for a long list of reasons. I won't go into those reasons since they aren't important anymore. After receiving a lot of PM's requesting it to be sent to them or put back up again I decided I would once again make it public and share it with everyone. I know there are others like it but apparently there was something about mine that people liked since I've had so many requests for it. Everything you need to know is contained within these 24 photo collages. If you want to actually follow it step by step you'll need BxBugs123's CVPI, Whelen Justice, Go Rhino Pushbar, and Code 3 XT6's. Otherwise all the steps apply to every other WFT you'll ever have to import. Once again this is just a basic guide to import and export a model. As far as support goes, please either comment below and maybe someone can help or try going over the tutorial again since I know everything that you need to know to get models into Zmod is covered in this guide. *I won't reply to PM's for support* If you want to download the archive as a ZIP, the link is below. Comment/Concerns comment below or PM me. Thanks All credit goes to NickieB for the creation of this tutorial. Please don't upload or distribute this to other sites. For anyone who's been paying attention my activity on the site over the past few months has been slim to none. I've been meaning to do this for awhile now so this will be my farewell and my announcement of "retirement". I've been an active member of this site for years now with over 1,000 posts, honestly I never thought I'd make 100 posts. I'm not going to ramble on and right an essay, there are just a few things I want to say. There have been so many people along the way that have helped me: Nutt - who's been a great friend, contributed to many projects and has been with me since day one. Makinith29 - the YouTube legend EFox - another good friend who has been with me from the start KevinDV, EVI, BxBugs123, Voodoobie, Tim98 (or whatever he calls himself today) for all of the parts and support they have provided along the way. Raptor422 and Strikeeagle345 - I was able to form great friendships with these guys and have a successful YouTube LCPD:FR patrol series. Also a huge thank you to Sam and the developers of LCPD:FR, without you there wouldn't be any reason for all the great mods we make. Anyone who has ever BETA tested for me - the mods weren't possible without you guys. Anyone else I forgot, don't feel bad if I forgot your name, I just have trouble remembering everyone. It all started with an unlocked CVPI, EVI's wheel pack, Code 3 XT6's and a Whelen Justice... I did it simply because I wanted 1 car, a slicktop unmarked CVPI with hubcaps. (link to my first model for anyone interested ?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>)'>?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>) I never intended to even release that or make any more cars than that but with almost 35 released files totaling 40,000 downloads on this site alone, I couldn't have asked for anything more. None of which would have been possible without you guys, the community. Honestly I have no interest in modeling anymore, I haven't touched any projects in months and even in my free time I don't enjoy it like I use to. With work and the fact that what use to be a virtual law enforcement career is on its way to becoming a real life one I feel its time to part ways so I can focus fully on that, as I've been doing for awhile now. I had some great times on this forum and in this community as a whole and once again I thank everyone for that. GTA V has been in the back of my mind and while there is a chance I may come back and release content for that, well I wouldn't hold your breath. I will still lurk in the shadows as I've been doing and may occasionally posts here and there but for the most part this will conclude my time here. THANK YOU and I hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and new year. NickieB going 10-42, farewell

I'm not sure what its like for that particular vehicle since I've never used it but most of the time the glass is mapped to a texture called "emerglights". The photo below is what it looks like. I've highlighted the 2 areas that the glass is *usually* mapped to. One in red and one in yellow. The pod positions on the texture usually correspond to the pods on the truck, this will be trial and error of course so you'll have to figure that out. You export that texture with OpenIv or Spark and open it in photoshop. Erase the color of the pod and fill it in with your desired color but make sure you lower the opacity - otherwise the color will be solid in game and you won't see the ELS lights flash. The amount of opacity is another thing you'll have to play around with, trial and error. **If you edit this and it doesn't work then chances are its mapped to another texture within the WTD, just look for a texture that contains something similar to what I highlighted** Or feel free to post the textures you think it might be in this thread and someone can probably point it out. Hope this helps

Also being from Wisconsin myself I see a lot of these. Both of the guys who live in my area now have Taurus's but I still see some CVPI's around. As for the skin its not bad, just a few tips/ideas. The "reflective" sticker on the bumper - angle the ends off like the real thing (see photo below). Also the white strip that runs down the side begins right behind the headlight on the real cars. yours carries forward to the hood (see photo below). I know those are small details but I'm anal about this stuff so I point it out. Take it as you wish.
