  1. I had one of the GE series, an older model though without the LED backlight on the keyboard. It had something to do with the chipset on the motherboard that wasn't compatible with the 1709 Fall Creator's update (2017). I'd only had it about 8 months. Of course Windows 10 forces updates so you'd have to let it try update, fail, rollback, and start the cycle again. I've always been keyboard and mouse, although I'm tinkering with the user of a controller. We can form the Kaiserreich together
  2. Is this what you're looking for? https://www.gtagaming.com/lcpd-police-patrol-f3188.html
  3. I think I had a similar laptop model to you before I switched over to my new one. Do you by any chance have issues with Windows 10 updates?
  4. Retail does this to ya too, unless you can get the offline mode to work! 🙂
  5. Steam will force update, but c'est la vie

  7. In LSPDFR 0.4 one of the big focuses is adding this depth. Not just to your own officer's life, but also to the world of LSPDFR. There's already an addon or two floating around for this sort of thing (such as World of Variety). I agree that I love this kind of gameplay, especially when its pitch black, thundering down with rain, and you're rolling through alleys nice and slow. If you haven't already checked it out, have a look at the 0.4 announcement thread!
  8. When creating ELS models, each set of lights is combined together into an "extra". That's what you can toggle on/off in the trainer under "vehicle components". Now, these extras are usually used for additional, toggle-able, features on vehicle models. For example, the ride-on lawnmower has an extra for the blade cover underneath it. When ELS flashes, what its actually doing is showing and hiding these extras, which are made of a material which is bright (an emmissive). Whereas non-ELS models use the same mechanics as the vanilla lightbars. These models tend to be a fair bit harder to make as they require a carcols file. ELS uses all 12 possible extras (although ELS can be configured to use less, however this would mean less flashing lights). Usually, modellers will group together all these additional objects, which are not the emmissives, and have them under a "misc_a" group. Sometimes a rambar will be togglable, but that's generally about it. Consider when you add ELS to the default ambulance and try to switch it on, the rambar on the ambulance will flicker on and off, because it is an extra on the model.

  10. Well, I can tell you there's no such thing as "bug free". Even Windows blue screens. You're bound to come across bugs and crashes, because that's what modding is about. We have an "Essential Mods" section which are handpicked and placed onto a separate category in the downloads section. I use most of these, and it might be worth taking a look at them! https://www.lcpdfr.com/downloads/gta5mods/essential-mods/

  12. LSPDFR is packed will a lot of capabilities, like you've outlined. A lot of LSPDFR's more complex, more awesome features come from plugins and scripts contributed by the community. That way members of the community can adapt LSPDFR for their own personal tastes and so on.
  13. Try this one, while it does say FIB rather than FBI, its a starting point. I noticed that you had commented on the file that you linked above saying you were having trouble with it. Perhaps its just a case of following through the installation process again?

Are you having this issue with all peds (including ones just wandering around), or just ones spawned in with callouts and such?
  15. I almost exclusively use CVPIs and old-bodied (e.g. 2013) Tahoes. I don't know what it is about them, I just love em! I've recently been experimenting a little more with using the Ford Taurus/FPIS, which I quite like.
