Still trying to find the place so I can try this. Was thinking the same thing but it might turn out that in GTAIV the inside of the building is not moddeled and you just end up falling through sapce. Worth trying though for sure. Edit: if anyone knows the street name where the building is it would be good. Cruising Hove beach and sods law I just never get that call :) If I know the street name at least I can have a snoop around. Also regarding post below, that's good news cause it means it can be fixed I guess for GTAIV players.

I have been able to upload in HD while recording with fraps at 50 FPS. You tube then released my vid in 720. then about 2 hours later to my surprise it was available in HD. Glad you got it sorted. 15 minutes as apposed to over 8 hours upload has got to be a win.

Do the caution icons say anything if you hover mouse over them or interact with them in any way ? Also is the fraps file you put into movie maker still .AVI format ? (it should be .AVI by the way) You can open other formats as well but fraps will be .avi It's odd as not had this issue before. Edit: was thinking maybe it's an outdated version or something so edytexas may have a point.

Not suretbh... but to get around the going on duty process press Alt + p to start LCPDFR and then Cntrl + P to force duty. Saves going to a police station after reloading scripts

Ahh, not sure you can do that. Or maybe you can we need someone with more expertise. But pretty sure it needs to be rendered first. How big is the file. At under 2 mins an unrendered fraps file is still quite large. Maybe the term render is wrong, but it needs compressing. thats why i use windows movie maker to render my fraps recordings. EDIT: Ninja'ed by squeak :)

That sounds wrong. I uploaded a HD vid that was about 14 minutes and it took 4 hours I think. Did you upload it straight from Windows movie maker or directly from a document ? Only asking as I did mine direct from movie maker. I'm sure others with more experience than uploading just one 14 min vid will have views as well :) Edit my broadband is a 10 MB connection. I would be tempted to restart the upload again. you might have to rename the movie file though

Yeah he was getting a lot of grief in certain areas and compared to the anti christ and held responsible for floods earthquakes and the last Britney Spiers single. Think some of it was also related to GTA as well :p tbh I have no idea why he got such grief, think a lot of people just jumped on the band wagon. I seem to recal he left the scene at one point and can only hope he will return. I have little knowledge of the events or politics that led to all the grief and I always keep an open mind cause it's not uncommon for certain sectors to undertake a campaign of running someone down. Only so much of that you can take before you think sod it, screw the lot of ya and bye bye. As said can only hope he returns and realises the community as a whole are not all ungratefull douche bags. To the op, it's early here and not had a coffee yet but seem to recal he released mods under another name or brand for a while. I will have a look later. I'm not sure what causes this issue at that building, Someone elsed mentioned it aswell, I have not had that call yet. I can only say the Devs will be aware of it. Out of curiosity I would like to ask are you using GTAIV or EFLC ? And if you can remember where is it (what area) Seem to recal must be hove beach somewhere... I would like to recreate it. Just for my own twistied curiosity :)

With the new frisk feature "E" after traffic stops I have been pessing F10 to order the ped out of the car. Then instead of a normal arrest I am now frisking them before I make an arrest. I can even do a trunk search this way before I finally arrest and call for transport or put in car. I haven't got it down to an art yet, but there are several sequences that work. And also with the "E" now you can handle more than one ped at a time. But to the OP regarding the old animation that's beyond my knowledge.

For many years I only ever had Nvidia GFX cards and I never had an issue. But last PC I built at the time I didn't like what was on offer. They had heat and noise issues that put me off. Long story short I would never concider ATI until then but I am now converted. My ATI card lets me force some amount of AA on GTA IV for example and it runs quiet and cool. Just don't rule them out altogether. Also pound for pound I think I got more GFX power than what was on offer from Nvidia at the time in the same price range. I am out of the loop on todays GFX cards but last year ATI for me was the best option imo.

This ^^ Also If people are worried about home builds not having a warranty it is easilly possible to build a PC these days with 100% parts covered by a lifetime guarentee. Only exception to this is cases which seldom have long warrantys. Home build: OS Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit CPU.. i7 930 @ 3 Ghz M/Board.. ROG Rampage Extreme III (over engineered and not really needed for my use tbh but it's nice) GFX.. ATI HD 5870 1 GB Vram RAM... 6 GB I can nearly run everything on max but I keep night shaddows low or off to keep fram rate up. Also it's only fair to mention that due to my crap monitor my PC doesn't have to render that high a resolution so that is less strain on the gfx card. This game can still give me issues though if I am not carefull about how many, and where I add custom cars. If you are a begginer at buiding PC's you can buy bundles where you get a motherboard cpu and memory as a kit. This ensures all components are compatable.

Just to clear this pointless point up. The showroom had about 10 other peds, (not an exageration) who all go mental when suspect attacks his partner. They all try to run out the locked door as well. So maybe they not customers, maybe it's an after hours party, or a wive swapping convention. Point is this is not a huge issue but it obviously is not working as intended. Any discussion about are the peds customers or not is kinda irelavent I guess.

With customers in the showroom and the doors locked, Not a huge issue or problem but you can't say it is realistic. Yeah but that's not gonna lock doors.

1st reply is giving a roleplay and storyline and possible game mechanic reason for not being able to enforce the law on this vehicle. Though I suspect the game mechanic is a very loose tie and if exists at all prob' only during the main story line. Though the storyline reason is sound. (I had forgotten about the ties with the Pegorino family and waste management. 2nd reply was making the point he has no trouble doing a traffic stop on this vehicle. Unless I am missing your point :) God this could get confusing fast.

Just want to know if anyone is experiencing the same problem. There is a domestic disturbance call in RC2 to the car showroom in Algonquin on Pyrite street "Grotti" cars. For me anyway if the call happens before 9am I have to break the window to get in. There are people inside but on several ocasssions the doors will not open. Just now I experimented with time of day and it would seem the showroom does not open for bussiness untill after 9am. No idea what time it closes but during these hours the only way to gain access is to break in. ok not hard with this place as you can break a window but I wondering if there are other places with similar time restrictions that don't have a breakable window. Main purpose of thread though is to make sure it's not just me and others have had the same thing. Notes: I used SNT to change the times of day.

Interesting.Think we can rule out ELS then. Only reason I leaned in that direction was I thought it might be a bug relating to model being respawned several times a second as it happened to me in my patrol car. And 9 times out of 10 when I exit the lights are flashing. As I said when it happened to me I can't recal if I had hit E by mistake. Are all these incidents happening after hitting E on exit ? As it is begining to sound like being caught up in the computer script part and the game expects you to be inside your car at this time.

Very nice, If I wasn't working on and using my own set of textures for Sams Alm mod This would be a definate option for me. Really like the overall effect you get with the design on the red paintwork version. tbh getting a bit sick of liverys based around NYPD colours and straight line design now. Always good to see something different. Also love using chargers as it's quite small file size compared to cvpi's. Also just noticed the badge on the door. Nice touch. Edit: only negative I have is the grey one don't really do it for me, but that's just personal preference obv' The grey to me always looks like something unfinished :)

I have had this issue before now as well. I have many times been locked out of my patrol car. I never thought of trying any other cars at the time though. And yep can't break windows, animation repeats but can't open door and snt wont unlock doors. I had a hunch at the time it was an ELS issue. But if it affects civi cars then it prob' isn't. Can't recal if I had hit E. Though that's an interesting aspect. And like yourself the only workaround was a restart.
