That is a problem with media barely giving it a couple minute segment, but there are plenty of problems with mainstream media. Not at least the Snowden Whistleblower/Traitor tagline. And yes, they are human rights offences,
Article 12: "No one shall be subjected to arbitrary interference with his privacy, family, home or correspondence, nor to attacks upon his honour and reputation. Everyone has the right to the protection of the law against such interference or attacks."
Article 19: "Everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression; this right includes freedom to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."

Its not the fact it is private that matters, its the principal. If you allow them to get away with human rights offensives, they will just go and break more and more and more.
I have nothing to hide, but as many people have said, the law is so massive, most people commit offensives daily without even knowing.

It would be quite nice to set the response of the ai in pursuits. I think allowing the player to 'call off' the pursuit if it becomes too dangerous would add extra levels of realism.
For example, suspect starts driving the wrong way down a highway during times of heavy traffic.
