Sketchup vehicles are usually high poly...just saying.... Try exporting as 3ds. Or you can try to erase the edges in polygon mode (that's what I do when it happens to me).

Go to your materials editor and look for the material that illuminates, then replace the "lightsemissive" shader with something like "interior2". Of course you can always dim the texture....

The .WTD file seems a bit heavy on both, it's around 3-4 MB.

Polygon count is only 50,000, I have used much more high-poly vehicles before and never had this problem. I am using the vanilla handling line, I have never experienced this issue before. Could it be my game or the model? If you want, I could post it....
