  1. Will's post in LCPDFR 1.0c constantly crashes was marked as the answer
Open your LCPDFR.ini file, find the line “PreloadAllModels = False” and change the value to “True”.
  2. Will's post in Controls for road stops / letting vehicles through? was marked as the answer
As of 1.0c, you can do this with LCPDFR.

    From the download page:

You can now set up a checkpoint on any road by using CTRL + B by default. This will allow you to stop and wave through passing traffic using the Quick Action Menu and aiming marker (Left ALT)
  3. Will's post in Game grashes after 10-20 minutes also Critical Error During Mainloop. was marked as the answer
Open your LCPDFR.ini file, find the line “PreloadAllModels = False” and change the value to “True”.
  4. Will's post in Net Framework 4.5 was marked as the answer
Make sure you are downloading this one.

Just noticed it is telling you that you have a newer version installed. Go to your control panel, then uninstall a program. Check for any Microsoft .NET Frameworks that are already installed and uninstall those. Then install the one I just linked.
  5. Will's post in How can I get ambulance to use different siren by default was marked as the answer
[ SOUNDS ] HRN_Type = ahrn HRN_SrnToneForMan2 = yelp SRN_DefaultMode = stby SRN_ResetSrnTone = on SRN_AllowToneYelp = on SRN_AllowToneAlt1 = on SRN_AllowToneAlt2 = on   HRN_Type changes the horn, acceptable entries being AHRN, FIRE, CIV1, CIV2, CIV3. HRN_SrnToneForMan2 changes the secondary manual siren (when you hold manual siren and airhorn). Acceptable entries are WAIL, YELP, ALT1 (police priority), ALT2 (ambulance priority). SRN_DefaultMode changes the default mode for the siren, STBY or HDSF. I believe HDSF will turn on the lights and sirens in a single button press. SRN_ResetSrnTone changes whether the siren tone will be reset when the siren is turned off. SRN_AllowToneYelp changes whether the yelp tone will work on the vehicle. SRN_AllowToneAlt1 changes whether the police priority tone will work on the vehicle. SRN_AllowToneAlt2 changes whether the ambulance priority tone will work on the vehicle.   The wail always has to work, there is no way to disable it.
  6. Will's post in Emergency Cars wont despawn was marked as the answer
What version of ELS? In older versions, cars with ELS activated will never despawn. This was fixed in ELS V7 and carried over to ELS V8. You can change the range that cars with ELS activated will be discarded with these settings in ELS.ini:

Els_Range_Pl = 800 Els_Range_Ai = 500   You would change the numbers to a distance (in meters) of your choosing. "_Pl" is for player vehicles and "_Ai" is for AI vehicles. The minimum distance is 50 meters and the maximum is 5000.
  7. Will's post in Install not working was marked as the answer
What exactly is your problem? From your original log files, the game seems to be working fine.

If the only problem is that the diagnostic tool crashes when you try to open the log file after checking your installation, then there isn't a problem. Mine crashes too.
  8. Will's post in GTA EFLC Startup Error - Help? was marked as the answer
Make sure your GTA IV directory is not set to "Read Only" and you are running the game as an administrator.
  9. Will's post in Certain ALT-Commands and taser not working was marked as the answer
Indeed, ALT-K used to be the Evacuate Area keybind, but now you have to hold down caps lock and use the mouse to select Evacuate Area.

The square dot is part of the mod. When you aim at something that can be done, it will turn red. For example, holding ALT and aiming the square at a dead suspect, then pressing E will report the suspect as down. I'm guessing the map zooms out when you press T? I believe T is the default key for the map zooming out and more HUD being displayed in GTA IV.

Because you manually installed the taser, AdvancedHookInit.asi isn't necessary.
  10. Will's post in Hazards Lights ELS 8 was marked as the answer
It's Callouts+ that is doing it, assuming you have the latest version. Open CalloutsPlus.ini and change VehicleHazards=J to a different key of your choosing, or to VehicleHazards=None if you want to disable it.
  11. Will's post in Police Helper HELP lol was marked as the answer
Just copy vdH_PoliceHelper.net.dll, vdH_PoliceHelper.ini, and the vdH_PoliceHelper folder to your scripts folder. Overwrite anything it asks you to overwrite.

Click "RESIDENT" on the left to see the contents after opening resident.rpf
  13. Will's post in Serious Un-installation Trouble was marked as the answer
When you put the disk in and run setup.exe, it should give you the option to repair or remove if the game is already installed. If the game is not installed, it will install the game.

Edit: You have to go to computer and right click the disk. Then choose "Open," then run setup.exe.
  14. Will's post in Just about had enough. ALT P wont work was marked as the answer
You're going to need to make a new topic in LCPDFR support. When you do, post a picture of your GTA IV main directory.

  16. Will's post in GTA and mods dont mix for me...(Solved) was marked as the answer
SMPA 60 is pretty much always caused by modded cars. The problem usually is that there is a missing object in the car's files. It's best to install one car at a time and test it. If it happens without any modded cars or with every single car you install, then I don't know.

ELS is also a major contributor to crashing. If you go to ELS.ini in your GTA IV directory (if you do use ELS) and change the option that enables ELS on AI cars (not sure of the exact line, don't have GTA IV on this computer) from "1" to "0" that will reduce crashing immensely, but in return disables ELS on AI cars. That means the AI will not be able to turn the lights on, only sirens. Even if you have non-ELS cars in for the AI slots (mainly police1 and police2), do this.
