  1. Will's post in Okay, I dont know what went wrong but somethings seriously seriously wrong. was marked as the answer
No, you can't just move the game folder without making registry edits as RPH is looking for the game in its original install location.
I think if you move it via the Rockstar Games launcher it should work though.

One of your plugins depends on ScriptHookVDotNet, which you don't have installed (or it is installed incorrectly). Download from here and extract to your GTA V main folder: https://github.com/crosire/scripthookvdotnet/releases/download/v3.6.0/ScriptHookVDotNet.zip
  3. Will's post in Vehicles glitching during initiation of traffic stop? was marked as the answer
Just tested and was able to reproduce in the same area as SteveTheGamer but not in the city. Also experienced someone actually fleeing the traffic stop and it is completely different behavior (default sirens deactivate when initiating a traffic stop, but resume when it turns to a pursuit; a pop up appears telling the player to report the pursuit). Since I have no other plugins that eliminates number 1, and it only happening in the countryside supports theory number 2 since it is harder to find a good parking spot on the country roads.

Another possibility I just thought of is if it is triggering the flee event, but only activates the fleeing logic on the AI without disabling the traffic stop thread and starting a pursuit thread.

Just theories though, I mentioned it on our Slack so maybe at some point it can be further investigated.
  4. Will's post in Halogen for ELS V8.5 was marked as the answer
In the vehicle configuration file (VCF) for the ELS-H enabled vehicles. These are in the ELS folder. If you haven't created one, then the vehicle will most likely be using default_config. The user manual has a very in depth explanation of every function in the VCF.
  5. Will's post in GFWL & Loading Issues was marked as the answer
When you use xlive, the savegames go in your documents. When you use dsound or no asi loader (so with the GFWL stuff running), they go in C:Users[username]AppDataLocalRockstar GamesGTA IVsavegamesuser_[random string of numbers and letters]

Just copy the savegames into both directories and you will always have them.
  6. Will's post in ELS 8 not working was marked as the answer
LCPDFR has a feature where you can have the lights without the sirens. Press * on the numpad after activating the siren normally (with G) or press / on the numpad to go through 3 "stages" of lights only mode.

As for the error with LCPDFR, you need to use the AdvancedHook.dll from LCPDFR and not ELS. Just download the LCPDFR manual installation and copy the file into your main GTA IV directory. (Please keep future LCPDFR support in the LCPDFR Support section, though).

With ELS crashing the game, uninstall ELS, then install LCPDFR with the manual installation. This will give you all of the updated dependencies. If the game works, install ELS by only copying the ELS folder, ELS.asi, and ELS.ini (and optionally the common folder) from the ELS installation. Do not copy anything other than those files/folders.

  8. Will's post in Help with LCPDFR 1.1 and ELS V8.0 was marked as the answer
When you installed ELS 8 you replaced AdvancedHook.dll with an old version. Please download the manual installation package and make sure to drag AdvancedHook.dll into the GTA IV/EFLC folder.

  9. Will's post in Upgrading from 1.0c to 1.1 was marked as the answer
You should install with the manual installation, that way you know you will have the most recent files. Sometimes the auto-installer doesn't overwrite the old files. You don't have to uninstall anything.
  10. Will's post in LCPDFR 1.0D Script Error was marked as the answer
Hello there -- welcome to LCPDFR.com and thanks for trying out LCPDFR.

You failed to read the instructions before posting in this forum. So we'll remind you of them.

    Please do the following:

Make sure you aren't using a crack - We don't support cracks
Update GTA IV to 1.0.7.0 (the latest version of the game, or 1.1.2.0 for EFLC) - This sometimes fixes a wide variety of issues
Make sure that you run the game as an administrator.
Make sure that your GTA IV root folder (and every subdirectory) is not set to "read-only"
Ensure that ScriptHook.dll, ScriptHookDotNet.asi and Dsound.dll OR Xlive.dll are in the GTA IV ROOT folder
Ensure that there is a folder titled 'LCPDFR' in the ROOT GTA IV folder.
Check that all the above files exist, if they do not, reinstall LCPDFR with the MANUAL installation.
Ensure that you are using up to date versions of every LCPDFR dependency and LCPDFR itself.
Install these: .Net Framework 4.5, Microsoft Visual C++ Redist 2012

If your problem has been solved after following these basic instructions, hit 'Mark Solved' next to this post.

If not, please now reply to this thread, and make sure that you do the following:

Give a clear, detailed description of the problem.
Explain any circumstances surrounding the problem.
State what solutions you have tried.
    Post ALL relevant logs (LCPDFR.log, Scripthook.log, ScriptHookDotNet.log, AdvancedHook.log).
Include as much information as possible.
    Post your system specifications.
Post what other mods you are using. This includes car and script mods.

Please note that failure to follow these instructions may cause this thread to be closed.
  11. Will's post in Help with Logcheck LCPDFR won't run was marked as the answer
Just to make it easier for me, delete LCPDFR.log from your GTA IV directory. Then go in game and try to start LCPDFR (if it works great, if not continue reading). Quit the game and run the diagnostic tool again, then post the new log the tool creates.
  12. Will's post in LCPDFR Crashing on game startup[LOG FILED INCLUDED] was marked as the answer
Make sure you are using the ScriptHookDotNet.asi from LCPDFR, and that ScriptHookDotNet.dll does not exist. If the .dll exists, delete it.

Also make sure you have either dsound.dll or xlive.dll, not both.

ELS has an outdated version of AdvancedHook, read this: '?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent>>
  15. Will's post in What can I do to clean my directory up? was marked as the answer
If a mod comes with it's own version of ScriptHook, dsound, AdvancedHook, etc. this is the general rule:

On the "There is already a file with the same name in this location" screen, if it says "newer" next to "Date modified" under "Copy and Replace," then choose that option. If not, don't copy.
  16. Will's post in LCPDFR encountered a problem was marked as the answer
    Try manually installing the mod.
  17. Will's post in Gta iv stopped work was marked as the answer
I had an issue with TrafficLoad where it would crash the game every 10 minutes or so, try removing that and use another script like >TrafficFlow.

  19. Will's post in LCPDFR ERROR WHEN INSTALLING ELS V8 was marked as the answer
If you are getting that error then you are not doing something correctly. Make sure you download LCPDFR 1.0d manual installation, take AdvancedHook.dll and copy it into your main GTA IV folder - where GTAIV.exe is located.

You need to disable McAfee's protections, but I don't know how to do that. I recommend not using McAfee at all because it isn't a very good antivirus program.
  21. Will's post in Memory error and Log File Problems was marked as the answer
The error in AdvancedHook.log is a generic crash, it doesn't tell me anything. The best thing to do would be to uninstall GTA IV and delete everything in it's folder. Then install GTA IV, install the latest patch (unless you are using Steam), then make sure the game starts. If it does, then install LCPDFR.
  22. Will's post in 1.0d installation help.. finally got it.. now stuck. again was marked as the answer
Download the LCPDFR manual install and copy AdvancedHook.dll to your main GTA IV folder. You copied the AdvancedHook from ELS which is outdated (and has been mentioned literally hundreds of times, half of my posts since the release of 1.0d have been related to this).

Also, be a little patient. None of us are sitting around staring at the support section just to help you.

To clear yourself from a call (remove the phone with an X), you press Alt-E on the keyboard. There is no control on the controller by default, it is in LCPDFR.ini under [KeybindingsController] though:

    UpdateCalloutStateModifierKey=None UpdateCalloutState=None
  24. Will's post in Configuration file doesn't work was marked as the answer
All the numbers in the ini do is say that it's okay for a unit to detach from the pursuit when the number of units in pursuit reaches your specified number. LCPDFR 1.0d does actually address the issue of infinite police in pursuits by dynamically decreasing your vehicle density when you are in pursuit. When shots are fired, it lowers it even more to try to keep the streets clear of abandoned vehicles.

LCPDFR itself does not control police vehicles that are spawned in traffic by the game, therefore it cannot despawn them.

Try reinstalling using the manual installation.
