    Hello everyone,

I just want to say thank you for sticking with us through the biggest site update we’ve ever rolled out. Last year’s launch didn’t go as smoothly as we’d hoped and we know there have been some issues along the way, so we really appreciate your patience and feedback. It’s helped us get to a much stronger place moving forward.
Now that things have stabilised a bit, today we’re launching a bunch of new features and changes that we think you’re going to love.
    Discovery: Tag Filters
The whole point of our tag system has always been discovery. You’ve been able to click into tags and explore everything connected to them, but proper filtering on category pages was missing.

    That’s now changed.
You can now explore and filter by tags directly on category pages, with the system built to expand much further over time.
To start, we’ve added brand, country, and year filters to vehicle pages, along with a “Made with AI” filter on script pages.

You can now filter by Brand, Country and Year on Vehicle pages.

A small change on the surface, but a big step toward making discovery faster, cleaner, and far more useful across the platform.
    Discovery: Site Wide Tag Exclusions
To give you even more control over what you see on LCPDFR.com, we’re introducing account-level, site-wide tag exclusions.
Any files matching the tags you choose to exclude will be hidden across the site — including the downloads portal, download feeds, trending and featured sections, and search results.

The tag filtering controls, now available in Account Settings. In this example, files tagged as outdated are being hidden.

The downloads category page, showing 1 active account tag filter and 34 files hidden as a result of excluding the outdated tag.

Whether you want to hide AI-generated work, certain vehicle types, specific countries, or even particular vehicle years, we hope this system helps you fully customize how you browse content on LCPDFR.com.

Note: We're aware of an issue of going to Account Settings, then navigating to Downloads Filters will not load the tag box correctly and we're working to fix it. Refreshing the page if the tag box doesn't load will workaround this for now.

    Site Experience: Thanking Creators
As a thank you to our creators and contributors, we’ll be removing external advertisements for community members who are actively engaging with the community.

The exact criteria may evolve over time, as our community contributes in many different ways. Whether you're helping new members with questions, uploading mods, or simply being an active part of the site, we want to recognize and reward those contributions.

For creators who share their mods with the LCPDFR.com community, ads will be removed once you reach 1,000 verified unique downloads.

For all other members, ads will be removed once you achieve the Sergeant rank (1,000 community points). Our rank system awards points for a variety of community activity, including forum posts, gallery uploads, comments and reviews (+1), giving or receiving reputation (+1), gaining followers (+2), and more.

This change is going live today, though it may take some time after reaching the requirements for the benefit to be applied to your account. Logging in and out if you meet the criteria may help this apply sooner. We also plan to add a way for members to track their progress toward these thresholds in the future.

This is one small way we can give back to the creators and community members who help make the site what it is.

    Developer: API
Our old API has started to show its age and wasn’t really built with the growth of the website in mind.

Historically, we’ve had to handle security on LCPDFR.com in some fairly unique ways. While we want to discourage automated traffic, serving an API directly from our main website domain meant we also had to keep certain protections less aggressive than we would’ve liked.

The API has been moved onto its own dedicated infrastructure, allowing us to properly monitor usage, apply separate security procedures, and relax some of the harsher caching behaviour that existed previously.

We’ve also adopted the more standard approach of enforcing API keys across the new API. This allows us to better track usage, apply limits where necessary, and manage access more effectively. API keys are issued in line with our new API Guidelines, which outline acceptable usage and restrictions around commercial use.

There are currently two key types available:
Version Check Keys — designed for embedding into your own plugins, primarily for update and version checking.
Full API Keys — provide broader access to the API, including mass file listings, extended file metadata (such as tags), .NET assembly data, and more.
Full API keys require approval. We may contact you with questions about your intended usage. Both full and limited API keys require an active LCPDFR.com account that has been active for at least one week.

You can request API keys in your Account Settings.

You can see usage limits, documentation and regenerate your key from Account Settings.

With the new downloads listing API, you can list up to 10,000 files at once. Full documentation available in Account Settings with an issued key.

Overall, this new API infrastructure gives us a far more scalable and maintainable foundation moving forward. Separating the API from the main website allows us to improve security, reliability, and performance without impacting the experience of regular community members on LCPDFR.com.

We’ll be deprecating the old API in stages.
Effective today, the old version check API endpoint (checkForUpdates) will no longer be available for newly submitted files. All remaining endpoints, apart from checkForUpdates, will be turned off on 1 June.
We understand that deprecating checkForUpdates may cause issues for some plugins. We plan to phase this out later this year in stages and with planned brownouts and will share more details in the API forum closer to the time.
    We’re not stopping there, either.

While these updates are a big step forward for discovery, customization, and the overall site experience, we already know where we want to focus next, on search.

The truth is, we’ve largely outgrown the search system our current software provides. It was never really built for our mod heavy platform with this much content, this many tags, and the kind of discovery features we now want to support properly.

Because of that, search is probably going to involve a lot more custom work from us moving forward. Better relevance, smarter filtering with the new options announced above, and a generally cleaner experience are all things we want to improve over time.

As always, we do appreciate your feedback. We try to guide LCPDFR.com based on what the community wants, alongside the areas where we feel we can improve and do better ourselves.

We’re looking forward to seeing everyone use these new features, and we’re excited to keep improving the platform alongside the community that makes it what it is.

    Cyan.

    Status Updates
    LSPDFR for Enhanced
We're very excited to announce that LSPDFR Enhanced, after months of development and testing, is now entering the next phase of the development process and is now available to our Insiders. We are deeply grateful to everyone in our staff team and closed testing community for their feedback and support that have brought us to this point.

The current build is largely stable, though a handful of bugs remain and we are not yet feature complete with Legacy. Development is advancing quickly, and each new revision brings us closer to a fully polished release.

Several community members have asked whether the Legacy edition will continue to receive attention. Both RAGEPluginHook and LSPDFR have been engineered to accommodate the Legacy and Enhanced branches side‑by‑side. With most of the heavy lifting complete, our goal is to roll out updates to both editions in parallel.

As soon as we’ve smoothed out the last few wrinkles and made sure everything runs flawlessly, we can’t wait to roll out LSPDFR Enhanced to everyone.

    The new LCPDFR.com
Work on the redesigned LCPDFR.com is progressing steadily. The site and its companion, RDR2Mods.com, run on the same underlying codebase.
An early version of the community upgrade is already live on RDR2Mods.com, allowing us to gather real‑world feedback, refine new concepts, and further stabilize the platform before bringing the enhancements to LCPDFR.com.

We thank you all for your patience and continued enthusiasm, and hope to share even more with you soon.

LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced and Upcoming Site Upgrades
We're excited to share the latest updates on projects bringing LSPDFR and RAGE Plugin Hook to GTA 5 Enhanced Edition alongside refreshing our entire website - with new features, a new design and a more fluid experience.

LSPDFR & RAGE Plugin Hook Enhanced
With the recent release of Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced Edition @LMS has been working on porting RAGE Plugin Hook. While still in its early development stages, RPH is now successfully running on the Enhanced Edition with most of the basic features working, including running small plugins and DX12 rendering. In addition, our biggest LSPDFR update ever is currently in closed-beta testing and we hope to have more news on it soon.

Below are some screenshots of these previously console-only vehicles being spawned through RPH in the Enhanced Edition.

    RPH on Apple Silicon
As part of the port to the Enhanced version and DX12 support, we have streamlined some core systems, now allowing RPH and LSPDFR to run on Apple Silicon. We're still addressing performance issues and visibility concerns before considering a potential future patch.

Website Platform Update and Invision Community 5
We're in the early stages of migrating from Invision Community 4 to 5, which will transform our entire platform.
This update combines rewrites of Invision Community core features with rewrites of our own software to provide users with a faster and cleaner experience. Community members will enjoy a fresh design and responsive theme that follows your OS dark mode decision. On top of this, substantial effort across the board has been made to fix performance issues.

Most of the changes to our new platform are behind the scenes, but the most visible improvement you'll see, apart from the general design change, is the new editor. This new editor comes with many improvements and is easy to use. It also introduces some new features, like Content Boxes, that will make structuring mod download pages a little bit better.

We hope to provide further updates over the coming weeks and months as we prepare this for release.

Hello everyone! As you’ve seen, the new “Bottom Dollar Bounties” update introduces several new vehicles that we’ve integrated into LSPDFR. Alongside these additions, there have been a few behind-the-scenes changes necessitating updates from developers for their mods.

In this news post, I’ll outline the updates for the most commonly used mods in the LSPDFR community and provide guidance on what needs updating. While the focus is on the LSPDFR community, I’ll also include general information beneficial to any user of GTA V modifications.

    LSPDFR and RAGEPluginHook (RPH)
Both LSPDFR and RAGEPluginHook required updates for this new patch:
The fixes are included in LSPDFR build 8943 and RPH 1.110, both of which are part of the latest LSPDFR download. This update includes support for the new “Bottom Dollar Bounties” vehicles, adding five new police vehicles to the default LSPDFR loadout. Additionally, it includes general quality-of-life fixes from our maintenance branch, reduces the spawn chance of the gauntlet, and addresses an oversight allowing the gauntlet to spawn for prisoner transport. Update 30th June 2024: Microsoft Defender has incorrectly introduced a false positive detection for RPH in a recent definition update. If you're affected, you'll see RPH briefly mentioning 'Verifying Hook' and crash. It may not be sufficient to just exempt your GTA folder; To start RPH, it may be necessary to temporarily disable your AV. You can re-enable your AV when RPH starts and hooks successfully.

    Scripthook V (SHV)
SHV typically requires an update for each new patch. Alexander Blade, the creator of SHV, has updated his hook, available on the Scripthook V page. Many non-LSPDFR modifications rely on SHV, so updating is essential.

    Emergency Lighting System (ELS)
Well, this is the update that finally broke ELS! However, luckily the file that needed an update was @LMS’s AdvancedHookV.dll library. This new file, which you’ll need to use ELS on the new patch, is available from the ELS download page.
To install it, download the AdvancedHookV_b3258.zip file and extract the included AdvancedHookV.dll into your game folder.

    SirenSetting Limit Adjuster (SSLA)
Users have reported SSLA causing game crashes. If you use RPH, your game might crash during the "Initializing Game Support" stage. To resolve this, remove SirenSetting_Limit_Adjuster.asi from your game folder until an update becomes available.

    Community Scripthook V .NET (SHVDN)
The latest game update also caused problems with SHVDN, including crashing when trying to open the SHVDN console, and scripts refusing to load. The fix for this and other SHVDN issues are included in their nightly builds, which you should install if any of your mods use or require SHVDN.

    OpenIV File Mods (mods folder)
If you’ve installed file mods through OpenIV, you’ll probably need to at least update update.rpf in your mods folder. This usually involves deleting the file and recreating it, and reinstalling any modifications that you put into that file. This is the downside of using the OpenIV mods method, unfortunately.

    LML File Mods (lml folder)
If you’ve installed file mods through LML, you won’t need to reinstall or update your mods in general.
Just make sure you've got the latest LML gameconfig.xml, which you can find here:

    gameconfig.xml
Please note that using an outdated modified gameconfig.xml will crash loading into story mode. An updated gameconfig.xml can be found on GTA5-Mods.

    Other Honourable Mentions
Heap Adjuster, PackfileLimitAdjuster, and Weapon Limits Adjuster do not require updates at this time and should continue to function normally if installed.

This post summarises the most common LSPDFR-related modifications and their updates. If you continue to experience issues, it’s likely specific to your setup rather than a widespread problem. For assistance, visit our Community Support forums and check common problems and solutions, or make a new thread reaching out to our volunteer community for further help.

Kuya Cheese reacted to LMS in Lenny's Mod Loader - Coming Soon
It's been a while since our last major update, and as you might've guessed from the title, there's a good reason for this... It has taken us a lot of work to get to this point but we can finally proudly announce our latest project: Lenny's Mod Loader.

    Modding. Reinvented.
Most people on this forums will have had their fair share of issues when it comes to installing mods, be it that you replaced the file in the wrong place, forgot to reinstall mods after an update or just found yourself in a situation without any installation instructions at all. We aim to make this a thing of the past and focus on what modding should be: fun! With Lenny's Mod Loader you can replace files and load new mods with just a few clicks - without ever touching an RPF. Many mods, such as addon vehicles, can even be loaded directly from the website into your running game, allowing you to quickly test our new vehicles in a matter of seconds.

Many mods can be loaded directly into your running game - just one click away!

    Release Information
Lenny's Mod Loader will be released later this year as a beta test. We are currently looking at a public release around December, but might release a little earlier if testing goes well. Being a completely new project, we would like to get in as much test coverage as possible to ensure a smooth public release. This is why we will make LML available as early access software for our Community Insiders.

    Future Development
We are only at the beginning of our journey and there are still many things that we would like to add to Lenny's Mod Loader. Ultimately we hope to provide you with a fully-fledged user interface to easily manage your mods, all integrated into our website to make sharing and discovering new mods as easy as possible. We hope you will join and support us on our way and are looking forward to your suggestions on how we can make modding more fun for everyone!
