  1. You're talking about the triangular-shaped logo, correct? To me it looks like a sticker. That's just what I think.
  2. I believe the FDLC part of the truck is supposed to be in remembrance of GTA's version of 911. I could be wrong due the picture not being the best of quality.
  3. I hope the traffic officer's family, as well as the survivors and families of the killed in the derail will be all right. New York also had the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade which probably contributed to the busy weekend.
  4. Images added to a gallery album owned by Post Design in GTA IV Galleries
Pictures of my current LCPD (Or other departments) fleet. I try to find the most realistic cars for my fleet :D (None of the models by me. Some of the skins are by me)
  5. I remember seeing that "story" on the GTA V site. There were two other stories (One of which was based on a real life incident). Thanks for the sneak peak Sam :P Looks nice! Was this from a mission? If not, then damn, that's amazing. I've never seen that before. (Runs to 360, starts GTA V and heads to Grove Street xD)
  6. Thanks! I agree completely. I wish they'd use they're tasers and batons as well Yeah, I see them doing that action every once in a while at night. I wish they'd use they're spotlight instead. Yeah, the officers in GTA V have a drivers license now. I love (although hate :P) when they ram me off the road. It's fascinating to me lol I agree, they do fire too quickly. I thought (Before the release of the game) that they'd use tazers and batons due to hearing a YouTube video. When I first started playing, I wanted to see if they would taze me at 2 stars. I was sadly shot to death...
  7. This debate is quite interesting...
  8. Oh yeah, the officers stances have been improved a lot too (Forgot to mention that). I also like that when I get killed by the cops, you can see them still having their guns drawn on you. Makes me imagine they're checking your body and calling the ME, etc. If only that were true lol Yeah, I agree. Rockstar didn't want us to get away that easily :P Thanks. I was wanting to post something like this for a while
  9. I asked myself the same question. I guess Rockstar did the same idea with the uniforms that they chose to do with the police liveries: Inconsistent it would be cool if Rockstar made it to where the game actually used the unmarked "Stainers". Instead, they only use them in one mission that I've found. I never really liked the NOOSE from GTA IV. They seem bulky and not to mention they're always crouched like they're knees are locked lol
  10. Ah. Due to using the Trainer, I never really battled it out against the cops in GTA IV, but when I did, they always knew where I was, heli or not lol. Anyways, it's a lot easier to evade the cops in GTA V than GTA IV.
  11. LOS SANTOS POLICE DEPT. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ I saw that there was a discussion about the improved/lacked police vehicles in GTA V. Sure, the "ELS" system and the large choice of emergency vehicles is pretty impressive, but what I found even more impressive are the actual police themselves. I found officers with realistic patches(Sergeant, Lieutenant, etc.), bulletproof vests, better looking shotguns, a high school diploma, sweet looking holsters, better "NOOSE" (SWAT Teams), and more. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The officer to the right (I'll call him Officer Buckley). Buckley has his hands on his equipment belt with his shades resting on his forehead. He looks more fit for duty then the cops from GTA IV in my opinion (Or any GTA game). He looks more stronger and more "serious"(But not too much, as this is a GTA titled game). There's also the addition of female cops into the GTA Series which is nice considering males aren't the only ones that carry the badge in real life. Some officers (Like the female officer in the middle) don't have a gun in their holster which is interesting to me. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Officer Buckley's cousin, Officer Spence(Left), has something new to officers in the GTA Series: A patch. Spence's patch looks to be an "Officer III" patch, but I could be wrong. It also seems that cops were introduced into the world of texting in GTA V, as it is common to see officers (Like my pal Spence) on their iFruit phones. You can also find officers drinking a good cup of Bean Machine Coffee or smoking some Redwood Cigarettes. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ A thing that's not hard to notice are the random events/chases performed by the LSPD. I missed these from when I played GTA SA back when I still had a Playstation 2. These events involve gunfire, arrests, reckless driving, etc. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The "NOOSE" (Or the LSPD SWAT) got a big uniform upgrade in GTA V. They look more realistic and don't look like the cheap, toy-like NOOSE in GTA IV. NOOSE Officers can also ride on the side steps of their Declasse Granger, enter the ground from helicopters via rope, and use fully automatic tactical weapons like in previous games. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Things I've noticed in pursuits are that officers will actually try to ram you of the road. The nice thing about this is that they actually tend to ruin my escape a lot with this real life method. Also, road blocks will be called in(Police Transporter), officers will equip vests at 2 stars, air support will be called in at 3 stars, and the NOOSE will be called in at 4 stars. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you happen to "find" a dead civilian, and you call 911, a couple of LSPD officers will actually respond and sit around/investigate waiting for EMS (That is if the EMS respond. If not, call them) to arrive. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ If you loiter around officers for a long amount of time, they'll soon warn you. If you don't leave (You should) They'll open fire on you as they take their motto "Obey and Survive" very seriously. This is probably due to minutes in GTA V being shorter than real life minutes, making you stand in front of that officer for longer then it seems. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The LSPD now search for you now instead of having x-ray vision and instantly knowing your location like in GTA IV. Each squad (1 squad = 2 officers), helicopter, NOOSE Unit, etc. Has a "cone" which is the area they're looking at to try and find you, the guy that just murdered some people. When 2 officers get into one squad (A car) they form one cone unlike when the two officers split up to form two smaller cones. The biggest cones I've seen are the ones the helicopters have which makes sense as they're in the air. The player can hide in dense bushes, tunnels, forests, behind buildings, inside buildings, on top of buildings, etc. Rockstar definitely improved the pursuit system in GTA V which makes it more intense and fun when being chased by the police. Just don't get chased in real life... _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The police AI in GTA V have changed drastically. From more detailed uniforms to more sophisticated pursuits, Los Santos (And Los Santos County) has the best police force is the GTA Series yet. Let me know if I left anything out. Just like you, I can't wait until we're able to mod this amazing game. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
  12. Considering that there are not any huge hospitals in GTA 4, maybe think about making it say "Security" instead of "Police"? Either way, nice design man!
  13. I see you're fairly new to modding, and you're actually not that bad for a beginner. If you need any help with skinning, feel free to contact me.
  14. Well, they are ridden all the time, if you'd pay attention to the link, you would see that IS a mounted police unit, given there IS a
  15. How is this supposed to be a mounted unit? Horses can't be ridden all the time, they have transports for them:
