For the purpose of GTA IV , i know a i5 3750K , a gtx 650 TI from evga , and 12 GB of ram will give you great preformance , so that 650 alone would save you $150 bucks on your video card

I am working on my very first build as well , and looking at some of your specs , your wasting your money , you only really need one optical drive unless you intend on burning movies or data on blu-ray burner , and the 250 GB ssd , if you are going for a 1TB hdd and want a SSD , go for less than 120GB , and a titan , you can get really good graphics out of less on a graphics card , like a 670 or even a 660TI , you would save several hundred dollars simply dropping a few items , my build was originally going to cost $1600 after taxes , now it is only $1350

By my guess , if they do , it will be around Christmas time , because if you look at the past GTA's that made it to pc , they are out within 3-6 months after their console counter parts

That's what I am doing , this laptop is not good enough , so i am going to make my own build , and sell my PS3 to cover the cost of some new games and stuff

buy it i would if i could find one that cheap , and honestly if it needs repairs you can get a parts car for about the same price or less and its worth it they last a long time if taken care of

i think it would be a combined issue of your processor and ram or are you running anything major in the background?
