MarcelWRLD reacted to Haze Studios in File tag for AI transparency
With the recent website update, I'd like to suggest adding a "Made with AI" tag for file uploads or something along those lines. We're seeing an influx of plugins generated entirely by AI rather than being built by developers (with the possibility of using AI as a TOOL). Quite often these generated plugins are quite buggy, and a clear label would help users manage their expectations and possibly avoid some frustration.

Please find attached the latest SDK for RPH (for game build 3717). It contains the fixed GameControl enum. An excellent comparison for the enum can be found here.

As @Echooo & others already pointed out, we are already very close to releasing it to the public and are just doing some refining. Right now we will be contacting a few developers to ask if they want to implement PR support into their plugins. This is crucial because when PR releases a lot of plugins might need an update to add compatibility.

Yes it has backup functionality like UltimateBackup & more too. PR can automatically convert UB xml configs for you so you shouldn't need to worry!

MarcelWRLD got a reaction from Yasd in Script to reload LSPDFR Plugins
I wrote a C# lspdfr plugin that let's you load, unload and reload single LSPDFR plugins. This means you don't have to reload whole LSPDFR after you made some changes to your plugin; instead you just replace the old files with your newest build in plugins/LSPDFR folder as usual.

The reason I am writing this forum post is to ask whether more devs/people would be interested in this script.
This script is VERY experimental. I also wrote it within one day and I haven't tested it much yet, which means that it could cause issues and/or bugs that I am currently unaware of.

Below you can see a demo of the script (the video files are too big for lcpdfr).
    1. Works for Callout plugins
    2. Aswell as for other plugins
(The error can be ignored lol)

I would 100% be a tester. I am not a developer but I'm constantly editing plug in .inis and it doesn't take into effect till I do force on/ff duty... then it reloads everything. which increases the chance of crashes and isn't really needed 😂. So this will 100% help new people coming into LSPDFR when they want to fix key conflicts ❤

Looking forward to seeing it ❤

MarcelWRLD reacted to Cyan in Update roundup and summary for GTA Patch v3258
Hello everyone! As you’ve seen, the new “Bottom Dollar Bounties” update introduces several new vehicles that we’ve integrated into LSPDFR. Alongside these additions, there have been a few behind-the-scenes changes necessitating updates from developers for their mods.

In this news post, I’ll outline the updates for the most commonly used mods in the LSPDFR community and provide guidance on what needs updating. While the focus is on the LSPDFR community, I’ll also include general information beneficial to any user of GTA V modifications.

    LSPDFR and RAGEPluginHook (RPH)
Both LSPDFR and RAGEPluginHook required updates for this new patch:
The fixes are included in LSPDFR build 8943 and RPH 1.110, both of which are part of the latest LSPDFR download. This update includes support for the new “Bottom Dollar Bounties” vehicles, adding five new police vehicles to the default LSPDFR loadout. Additionally, it includes general quality-of-life fixes from our maintenance branch, reduces the spawn chance of the gauntlet, and addresses an oversight allowing the gauntlet to spawn for prisoner transport. Update 30th June 2024: Microsoft Defender has incorrectly introduced a false positive detection for RPH in a recent definition update. If you're affected, you'll see RPH briefly mentioning 'Verifying Hook' and crash. It may not be sufficient to just exempt your GTA folder; To start RPH, it may be necessary to temporarily disable your AV. You can re-enable your AV when RPH starts and hooks successfully.

    Scripthook V (SHV)
SHV typically requires an update for each new patch. Alexander Blade, the creator of SHV, has updated his hook, available on the Scripthook V page. Many non-LSPDFR modifications rely on SHV, so updating is essential.

    Emergency Lighting System (ELS)
Well, this is the update that finally broke ELS! However, luckily the file that needed an update was @LMS’s AdvancedHookV.dll library. This new file, which you’ll need to use ELS on the new patch, is available from the ELS download page.
To install it, download the AdvancedHookV_b3258.zip file and extract the included AdvancedHookV.dll into your game folder.

    SirenSetting Limit Adjuster (SSLA)
Users have reported SSLA causing game crashes. If you use RPH, your game might crash during the "Initializing Game Support" stage. To resolve this, remove SirenSetting_Limit_Adjuster.asi from your game folder until an update becomes available.

    Community Scripthook V .NET (SHVDN)
The latest game update also caused problems with SHVDN, including crashing when trying to open the SHVDN console, and scripts refusing to load. The fix for this and other SHVDN issues are included in their nightly builds, which you should install if any of your mods use or require SHVDN.

    OpenIV File Mods (mods folder)
If you’ve installed file mods through OpenIV, you’ll probably need to at least update update.rpf in your mods folder. This usually involves deleting the file and recreating it, and reinstalling any modifications that you put into that file. This is the downside of using the OpenIV mods method, unfortunately.

    LML File Mods (lml folder)
If you’ve installed file mods through LML, you won’t need to reinstall or update your mods in general.
Just make sure you've got the latest LML gameconfig.xml, which you can find here:

    gameconfig.xml
Please note that using an outdated modified gameconfig.xml will crash loading into story mode. An updated gameconfig.xml can be found on GTA5-Mods.

    Other Honourable Mentions
Heap Adjuster, PackfileLimitAdjuster, and Weapon Limits Adjuster do not require updates at this time and should continue to function normally if installed.

This post summarises the most common LSPDFR-related modifications and their updates. If you continue to experience issues, it’s likely specific to your setup rather than a widespread problem. For assistance, visit our Community Support forums and check common problems and solutions, or make a new thread reaching out to our volunteer community for further help.
