Complete ignoring that I like your way to go much much more: The "Made in Germany" Gütesiegel I just noticed is enough to confirm my choice <3

Ich rocke jetzt erstmal dein Plugin, wirkt halt auch viel weniger nach FiveM-Slop ^^

RicyVasco got a reaction from Bear82 in LSPDFR Enhanced or Expanded (or maybe just PoliceLifeS?)
Normally I don't get involved in that kind of stuff but I wanna bring attention to some behind the scene.

The creator of Enhanced, Vitus, talked to me a few months ago when I took a little break from Expanded and asked if I were still actively developing it and wether I would like to share my code so he can combine it with his mod.
I declined since I prefer working alone and I have my own style and ultinately I knew that I would come back to Expanded sooner or later.
However, he then approached me again and ask if I would be up to selling Expanded to him for an undisclosed amount. I refused and basically cut off contact at that point.

A few weeks later he pushed an Update to Enhanced that pretty much copied a majority of Features 1:1 that I already included in Expanded. Of course this could've been bad timing bit it definitely looked to me like he was just copying my work at that point.

This background and now the $22/m subscription for future updates on Enhanced clearly show wether he does it for the love of the game or for money

A little sidenote to be upfront: I made a Patreon for Expanded too that ran for roughly 2 month. It only offered 2 weeks Early Access to Updates for 5 bucks (or more if the patreon wanted to) before they were pushed to LSPDFR for free. I didn't personally like it since I felt pressured to oush Updates frequent so I don't waste peoples money. I deleted the Patreon after the 2 month and apologized for that and explained my decision ln Discord. In that timeframe I made roughly $100 bucks in total. Since deleting the Patreon I have not made a single Dollar from any of my mods.

I prefer Quality over Quantity and I create Mods for the love of it and to give back to the Community after falling in love with LCPDFR, so my mods will remain free forever.

The issue is that the AI is really not good at driving, especially when things get crowded and small. I'm currently working on something similar and making the AI maneuver smartly without ramming cars, peds etc. is hard to manage. Especially parking multiple units without them going riot

RicyVasco got a reaction from Yasd in Question about RPH and LSPDFR functions
    Heya, I've hot two questions:

    1. For Police Menu I heavily rely on getting the Players keyboard presses. I do so by freezing the Game and using a GTA textbox to gather the string. However some plugins still register keypresses in the background and thus open certain menus when typing a text.

Is there a way to supress Game.IsKeyDown for a certain time?

    2. When playing witvout disabled scripthooks in the .ini file, the player gets certain Popups near objects like beds, shower, seats etc (Press E to sit down for, example). Is there a way to disable those umder certain conditions, or atleast supress the help message? I trigger a helpmessage myself and the game is fighting on which messages takes priority, resulting in constant beeping

The Log doesn't show any errors at the time of crashing.

Do you get any error message after you've crashed?

Otherwise you've probably installed too many vehicle mods etc for the game too handle

RicyVasco got a reaction from officerIIIburak in auto talk/speech script (you must see it)
I liek the idea of having the player character talk more than their usual "Kiflom" and "Criminal Scum" after arresting someone.

I'll look into it if I can create a small script that will make the player talk and react to stuff dynamically

LSPDFRExpanded (name might change at a later date) is set to greatly expand the roleplay abilities of LSPDFR. It aims to create a good sense of realism and progression to your average playthrough.

For your average playthrough, you might go onduty, play for an hour or two and then log off again. Rinse and repeat. The only kind of "progression" you actually gain are from CourtResults from mods like PoliceMenu and StopThePed. However even that isn't really a good kind of progression since it's basically just a text that changes. You don't really get any feedback from it.

With LSPDFRExpanded your average playthrough will greatly change. Let's start from the beginning (For LSPDFRExpanded to work properly, it is advised to press F4 and type "ForceDuty" for it to load properly):

    1. The first time you load up the plugin you will wake up in your own apartment. From here you have numerous stuff to do. For example you can take a shower to start the day properly. Go to your wardrobe and take your favorite clothing. Head up to the kitchen and start making breakfast. You are working the nightshift so you invite a colleague over to spend a few hours. Once your friend left you are taking your keys, bag and go outside to your vehicle.

    Screenshots:

    2. After going outside you unlock your vehicle and head to the nearest gas station to refill your vehicle. You still have a few hours to beat so what could you do? Every shop inside Los Santos is at your disposal. Wanna get a new haircut? Sure go ahead. A new tattoo? Your boss might not like it but you do you. Maybe you want to check out the new shirt SubUrban has to offer. Your friend told you, your car is looking very bland, why not buy a new one and tune it up a bit? However you choose to spend your money, it's sure a great investment.

    Screenshots:

    3. After spending your freetime it's time to go to work. When you enter your department you are able to chat with your coworkers, make new friends (or even enemies if you don't like a particular guy). Stamp in your time and go onduty, wether you do it uniformed or undercover. Don't forget you grab the keys to the squad car and your equipment! You'll receive a paycheck every 10 minutes with a maximum being 1 hour. After that you can of course keep continiung to patrol but you won't be paid. Remember, your work quality influences your life. Put your back into it and you'll receive promotions, with promotions comes a higher salary. After your work is done and you stamp out again, you can follow your coworkers to the local bar, invite them over to your place and so on.

Everything you do with LSPDFRExpanded is saved. Wether you buy a new car, change your appearance, make new friends etc. You'll never lose your progression and start from scratch like in vanilla. In addition to that, each character that you created with LSPDFR will have it's own savefile. Want to play as an FIB director with tons of cars, cash and more? Sure do that. Want to play as an lonely cop with no friends? Why not.

This should give you a good look at how I want this plugin to function and as you can imagine, there is a lot of work and love going into this plugin so I hope you are as happy with the endresult as soon as it releases as I am working on it right now 🙂

    Heya!

I'm currently working on spawning certain props inside an MLO interior. Most of the time it works great, however sometimes they simply refuse to spawn. RPH even throwing an error stating that "hash ... does not exists"

The issue is: Those objects definitely exists since sometimes they do spawn in from the same code without changing anything, and if I spawn them via Menyoo, they work 100% of the time.

This is one of the objects that occasionally refuse to spawn: v_corp_cd_recseat

This is my current code to check if the object does in fact exist before I even try loading the model:
if (NativeFunction.Natives.IS_MODEL_IN_CDIMAGE<bool>(Utils.GetHash(modelname)) && NativeFunction.Natives.IS_MODEL_VALID<bool>(Utils.GetHash(modelname))) If this check is passed, the object will spawn in normally as expected. If it fails the above test and I try to spawn it in, RPH will throw the "doesn't exist" error message.

But why would the same model, in the same playthrough exist in menyoo but not in my code?

Wasn't able to test it thoroughly since where you spawn is random with LSPDFR, but after about 5-10 tries I haven't experienced a crash yet. Seems like the new police vehicles are being despawned by GTA's DLC vehicle protection and thus causing the crash

RicyVasco got a reaction from Charlie686 in [WIP] LSPDFRExpanded (Off and OnDuty Enhancement Plugin)

Wrong forum, this probably belongs in API Development.

Without your code no one can really tell you what exactly is wrong, but to me it sounds like you are creating and assigning the pursuit in a loop which will kill the performsnce and the game after a short while

RicyVasco got a reaction from rp0123 in Disable ped knock down ragdoll when shot
I've looked into the decompiled code for the Paleto heist and this is everything I found regarding ragdoll:

    SET_RAGDOLL_BLOCKING_FLAGS(ped, 32768)

    SET_PED_CAN_RAGDOLL_FROM_PLAYER_IMPACT(ped, false)

Ped.CanRagdoll was also used but you already tried that

Use GameFiber.StartNew instead of Sytem.Threading, RAGE probably doesnt like that you are using stuff outside of the game

RicyVasco got a reaction from GTAbear in How to get ped mugshots
    It's possible:

First you need to create a texture from file (default path being GTA5 directory
    Texture MyPicture = Game.CreateTextureFromFile("YOURPATHHERE");
You can then use Graphics.DrawTexture Method to draw that picture on the specified position

Keep in mind to always unregister the Ped_Headshot after using it to avoid crashes
