Some General pointers for anyone experiencing crashing after Title Update.
Hello, I figured I would type out a bit of an essay if you will about some things I believe most people should try in order to fix their game if they are experiencing startup or some in-game crashes. I am doing this because after the title update, and after the SHV update, my game was seemingly completely broken and I was at a loss for a little bit on what to do. It took some digging and some pointers from a moderator here (thanks bastion!) and I have finally managed to completely resolve all most of my issues, outside of the minor, few and far between plugin crashes in-game. So, I will compile a list below, and I encourage you to try these if you are running into Issues, most of the time this SHOULD fix it, however, I am in no position to give you any guarantees. Another thing that should be noted, but not counted off as completely unworthy of doing, is these fixes steps WILL CONTAIN STEPS THAT WILL RESET YOUR MODS FOLDER! that means all cars, including addon Vehicles, and anything you've installed using OIV package installers, gameconfigs, World Mods, ELS Configs, pretty much anything that you have modified in your OIV, will be deleted and will have to be Reinstalled in order to work as it once did before. Quick disclaimer to the moderation team on LSPDFR. If this is not allowed, then please do not hesitate to let me know or just outright take it down (I know you wouldn't hesitate lol) no hard feelings, I figured maybe I could take a slight bit of the load off with all of the new issues coming into the Support board. Again, If this is not allowed I do apologize. Disclaimer to reader - Backup your mods folder BEFORE DELETING IT (if you didn't, while still in your directory, press Cntrl +Z) I am NOT in anyway trying to impersonate, replace, or otherwise overtake the position of a Support Moderator, I am just a regular player who has been playing for years like most others trying to offer some tips. I am NOT going to be responsible for anyone who completely bricks their game, none of these steps in this post are capable of doing such things, so if you manage to pull that off, frankly, I'd be impressed. With that said, lets begin. 1. Crashes on startup. (CAN'T EVEN GET INTO GAME) Please note, this is one of the most important and often one of the only steps you may have to take in order to get your game to at least launch into LSPDFR, DELETE YOUR MODS FOLDER! navigate to your games root directory, find the 'mods' folder and delete it, if I am not mistaken, OIV should make a new mods folder automatically and you can begin rebuilding your mods folder again, which sometimes can be a blessing disguised as a curse. This is #1 for a reason, if you really want to play, take this step first. NOTE - if you feel inclined, I also recommend backing up your original mods folder, that way, if that turns out to not be the reason, you can revert back to what you had before and continue. 1B. If that does not work, attempt to Launch GTA V without RPH at all, If it crashes on startup, verify integrity of your game cache, most of the time it should come up with a missing file or two. 2. Crashes upon loading LSPDFR plugin/freezes. This can also play into a Mods folder issue, however, it can also be a plugin, script, ect. I would recommend checking over your callouts and such in order to rule out any outdated, malfunctional plugins/scripts. This is easier said than done, typically you would go one at a time, taking one plugin or script out and checking for functionality in order to rule any dysfunctional one out. Of course, it is completely up to you as to what method you use for this step. Note - If you use Police Menu, and it is not working In-game, you MUST REINSTALL IT COMPLETELY via the readme in the mods download folder, this is because the mod uses OIV files to function. I can personally confirm once you have done this police menu will work as intended. 3. Game is functional, but crashes after adding 1 or two addon vehicles to DLCList.xml This issue had me stumped for a minute, if you are able to add replacement vehicles, but as soon as you add addon vehicles, whether it be one or a couple, your game crashes at loading screen or at startup, there are a couple steps to take. First, verify you have both PackLimitAdjuster AND HeapAdjuster Installed, next, and often the fix, is to go back into OIV and reinstall limitless game config from scratch. This one went over my head for a bit too, but I have since fixed it by reinstalling that gameconfig into OIV. 4. World Mods/Lighting Mods non-functional. As previously stated, ANY modification made using OIV, whether manual Install or Packaged, MUST BE REINSTALLED. It seems that after the Title Update, if your game actually made the update, that any files in OIV that wasn't apart of the vanilla game was deleted/corrupted. Go back and resintall all of your World/Lighting overhaul mods from scratch, this DOES NOT include ReShade presets. 5. Callouts crashing, ect. This is a very general issue and is often the fault of the callout itself, refer back to step 2. That's all I got for now. I will continue to Update this forum post (as long as its allowed of course) if/when I run into other issues and if/when I manage to fix those on my own. I hope this helped at least one person get things back up and running again. Of course, as stated in my disclaimers above, this is not in anyway a promised fix to ANY issues, if you run into what seems to be an unfixable error, I of course can only recommend going to the LSPDFR Discord or Web Forum and creating your own post there for some personal and more in depth troubleshooting, best of luck!

LSPDFR is VERY unstable (among other issues)
Update/Solutions! If you are experiencing some similar things as I was listed above, here is how I managed to fix just about everything that was going wrong. 1. If your game is crashing 100% or 50% of the time, as mine was, delete and renew your mods folder. It is unfortunate that sometimes this is the case required to fix some of the problems causing symptoms as these, please note YOU WILL LOSE ALL CARS, and ANYTHING INSTALLED WITH AN OIV PACAKGE INSTALLER! 2. Unfortunately, I am still working out a solution to the DLCList.xml crashes, will post that fix here once found. 3. Frequent In game crashes were fixed by removing 2 recommended mods, Dangerous Callouts, and Wilderness Callouts, also, when I restarted my Mods folder that seemed to help as well. 4. Graphical/World Mods, except ReShades, are required to be reinstalled, since the patch wiped or corrupted everything that wasn't a Default Game file in OIV. 5. LSPDFR Crashing on startup was fixed by resetting the Mods folder. 6. If you were using Police Menu before the Title Update, and now it is broken as mine was, you MUST REINSTALL it entirely, I can confirm after doing so, it works perfectly fine. 7. As noted, I am currently looking into the Issues with my DLCLIst.xml, my suspicion right now is that all of the vehicle files inside of my DLCPacks were removed/corrupted as well, my next step in troubleshooting will be to remove all of those vehicles, download new ones, and attempt to install those and use them in game, as mentioned before if that is what works then I will post it here as a solution.

Police Menu (Computer, Speedcam, Parkingticket and more)
Good point, was dealing with a multitude of Issues related to Plugins being overwritten by the latest patch since Last night, I will take my previous comment down and go ahead and attempt to reinstall. Many thanks! While, on the subject, would you mind maybe adding a charge for Possession of LSD if/when the next update is released? I've tried adding numerous charges myself on top of the Charges and Citations modification that I already have installed and it seemed to break it, not sure why. Totally off topic, I know, but just curious.

LSPDFR is VERY unstable (among other issues)
Quick update. I have just finished installing 2 things, the new and updated GameConfig that is listed in the Red Header for LSPDFR, and also AI Traffic Discipline. Now it sems that the game is crashing on startup 100% of the time, I'm not exactly sure what broke it but clearly something is wrong. I am going to go ahead and delete the Traffic Discipline mod files from OIV and then carry out a Integrity Verification, if that does not fix the issue then I will be at a loss. Got it to launch 1 time, then I remember i need to change some Keybindings in LSPDFR.ini so I closed the game, did what I needed in the .ini, closed that and relaunched and now its just crashing on startup. I have done the _mods technique to rule that out and its still persistent, don't know what the issue is know.

LSPDFR is VERY unstable (among other issues)
Sorry I didn't answer your questions in my initial response was pre-occupied with some IRL stuff lol. But no, in terms of startup, before the Title Update and everything else the game started very smoothly 100% of the time and any crashes I had were minor In-Game ones that were related to certain callouts not working. Now, after installing the new LSPDFR, SHV, and RageNativeUI, it is almost literally 50/50, but the strange part is, as described, It will crash on the initial launch attempt, but if I retry launching right after that, it launches perfectly fine. I have also managed to bypass the crashes/game breaking bugs related to Police Menu by reinstalling Compulite as a temporary place holder until Police menu is patched since no fixes seemed to make it work. And for Modded traffic/Peds, yes, I am using AI Traffic Fluidity and Discipline, however it seems like that mod may not be functioning either because the AI Traffic seems to be driving erratically as in vanilla GTA, it seems that whenever the title update hit (I was asleep so I couldn't stop it from doing the Update) that everything that was added into the game with an OIV Installer Package was removed, I say this because when I initially got into the game and Loaded EUP Menu, it wasn't functioning because apparently the EUP L&O package wasn't found, so I had to reinstall that package as well which leads me to believe that all of the Graphical Overhaul mods were also removed because most of them were installed using Packaged Installers instead of manually.

Police Menu (Computer, Speedcam, Parkingticket and more)
Plugin seems broken after new update. Be warned if installing this after the Title Update. Latest Update for the mod - Nov 1st. I would wait for a patch for this mod in order to install it, but I've been using it for about 1 month and it is an excellent mod! patiently waiting for it to be patched.

LSPDFR is VERY unstable (among other issues)
Hello, I just started trying to play LSPDFR again today since SHV got updated. I have found it be be extremely unstable, I will give a list of issues I am currently experiencing below. 1. The game will crash on startup every other startup, so not everytime, but any time I edit something in the Directory or even OIV it will first crash and then launch the second attempt. 2. Anytime I edit my DLCList.xml, my Game just crashes every time, meaning, whenever I updated everything and launched back into the game, my DLClist was changed, and when I attempted to but all of my DLC packs back into it (which there aren't that many) it just automatically crashes, it should be noted I do have Heap adjuster, and game config installed. 3. When in game, the LSPDFR Plugin just crashes, it should be noted that I do have callouts still installed that I need to experiment with removing, as well as some other non-callout mods like Police Menu and Callout Interface. 4. Since my DLCList.xml seems to be bricked, I am unsure whether my Graphical Overhaul mods are working, mods like Blaine County Traffic Lights, Worldlights, Forest Overhaul, ect. 5. Since LSPDFR tends to spontaneously combust when I load into the game (currently experimenting by disabling loading on startup) it tends to make my character become stuck in place. 6. When trying to use Police Menu by pressing the default Keybind (Cntrl + N) the sirens on top of my unit will freeze (as they usually do when the mod is working) but no interface pops up. It should be noted that I have installed the latest May 2022 Version of RageNativeUI. 7. Lastly, because I can't make any changes to my DLCList.xml in OIV, obviously any vehicles outside of my replacement vehicles will not work. I kind of figured the reintegration after the title update wouldn't be a walk in the park, as it never is, but in order to prevent a full wipe of everything I have installed I'm just throwing this out here. A full reinstall of both GTAV and LSPDFR would be a MASSIVE hassle for me because I live rural and my internet would literally take days, if not a full week, to reinstall GTA V alone. If anyone would like a Log file, which I imagine you would please remind me how to get my hands on the .txt or .log files that are appropriate for this forum Thank you. RagePluginHook.log

Realistic Usable Charges & Citations for *CompuLite*
Technically you could call it an "automatic knife" but that's pretty informal, usually it is referred to something like "Assisted Opening Knife" or they just call it a "Deadly Weapon" Carrying a firearm illegally would typically be referred to as "Unlawful Carry of a Firearm", "Unlawful Concealment of a Firearm" or "Unlawful possession of a Firearm" I'd wager that the charge for carrying an Illegal knife is probably referred to as something similar as mentioned above but from what I have seen mostly it would be filed as "Possession of a Deadly Weapon"

Realistic Usable Charges & Citations for *CompuLite*
Generally in the states fixed blade knives are legal to carry concealed, while some variations of spring assisted knives are not. there are some very in depth specifics that determine whether concealing it or not is allowed, usually that goes off of the blade length and mechanical functioning (think ballistic knives.) Again, in the United States it is rather difficult to simulate laws for the overall Nation because they wildly vary state to state, where I live in the south, knives under 4" long are legal to carry concealed with no permit, larger knives are not. This also goes for certain assisted opening knives like switchblades which are considered illegal without a CWP (Concealed Weapon Permit) also, there is no class specific license in the southern united states, getting a CWP for a gun carries over to carrying any knife you chose. Also, where I live, it is lawful to carry a larger blade (think bowie knives) without a permit as long as it is NOT concealed on your person, so attached to a belt loop and openly visible to those around you, or on your hip with your shirt tucked behind it making the blade or sheath visible. This was probably a bit of an overkill answer but I figure the more you know the better since maybe you want to model your in game laws around laws like these.
