  8. Can't that be prevented by getting the chassis and undercarriage sprayed with anti-corrosive coating?

  10. The same could be said about Ford in general these days, I know a couple of people who own Fords, one owns a 2011 Focus, only late last year did Ford manage to fix electrical issues that was present from new, the climate control still has periodical errors which Ford refuses to acknowledge, others complain of various issues. Our police used Fords in their general duty fleet for 40-odd years until two years ago due to reliability issues and long-term maintenance costs and expenses. Regarding pushbumbers, Boise PD released a video about their new fleet. They quoted a reduction between $1000 and $2000 with their new Chargers each time their officers conducted a PIT, however their 'vics are only fitted with a regular pushbar (that aren't designed for PIT'ting) while their new Chargers has sturdier wraps on a full-size pushbar. However, I recall reading similar views regarding the new PIS as you mentioned. The Charger seems to be the most well-received "new gen" cop car with Ford falling off the wagon slightly.

  12. Why would Ford bring back the CVPI? The new PIS is a much better product than the CVPI ever was, it wouldn't stand a chance against the new Caprice and Charger or the SUV's. The Crown Vic has served its time, arguably longer than it should (but that's what happens when nobody competes with the 'vic). The police fleet market is open now so Ford has to innovate instead of spitting out the same car for 13 years. Good riddance CVPI, give me the keys to a PIS or preferably a new Charger any day!
