  1. I'm not sure whether anyone has spotted this or not, but I found a riot shield model in the game files. It would be really cool if someone was able to implement it in game; I know animations would be required, but where the model is still lying around in the files the animation very well could be as well, unless the idea was scrapped before animations were created. It's fully textured too, so players could mess around and create custom sheriff, NOOSE, SWAT, etc. textures for it which would be cool to see. I'm gonna look around and see if there are any riot shield-related animations anywhere to see if this could possibly make its way into the game. The model, by the way, is located in x64c\levels\gta5\props\lev_des\v_minigame.rpf and is called prop_riot_shield(+hidr.ytd/.ydr)

  2. ​We will probably be able to toggle and choose things like the spoiler on the buffalo, or the lightbars on any police vehicle. The push bar is part of the car model itself, so I don't think we could remove that. But Simple Native Trainer is coming out soon, so who knows what we'll be able to to with that.

    ​Yeah, I figured the pushbar was a part of the model itself, I was talking about the actual front/rear bumper, side skirt, spoiler, and hood modifications that are available (through mods, anyway) for the Interceptor. It's like Rockstar made all the customizable parts for it like we could take it into LS Customs but decided not to include it for some reason. I'm sure these will be available extras with LSPDFR, was just curious to find out for sure. http://gta.wikia.com/Interceptor?file=Police-Interpector-front-save-editor-gtav.png This shows the spoiler, hood and front bumper. It's cool, the front bumper mod looks like it adds three additional vertical beams to the push bar.

  3. ​You can toggle all extra parts of any vehicle selected.

    ​So I'm assuming this at least includes the spoiler that naturally spawns on the Buffalo cruiser, but will this enable us to throw the bumpers, spoilers, hoods, etc. on the Interceptor? I wouldn't mind rolling in an ultimate speed enforcement cruiser now and again.

    Odd, I've just seen this screen myself. Happened with four pictures, two, and even a single 1.4mb. All are .png, which I've never had an issue uploading (even four simultaneously) in the past. I noticed that when on the Step One "Add Images" page, after selecting my images and letting them load until the little "Done" message appears to the right of them, a small preview of the image usually loads to the left of the picture's name and file size, however now it is not doing this and I am receiving the error. Strange.

    EDIT: Just tried the same image as a .jpg as Illusionary suggested, that little preview image loaded immediately and the error didn't occur. Not sure why, but maybe there's just an issue with uploading .png's all of a sudden?

  5. I've noticed a weird bug with the new edited dispatch.meta, and I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere so I thought I'd report it. The mod has been working great, though a lot of police vehicles (I've seen the Cruiser, Interceptor, Buffalo, Unmarked Cruiser, and FIB Granger) have been spawning with nobody in them. These "ghost cars" have no drivers (though they still drive), all head/tail/emergency lights off, and do not appear as flashing red/blue icons on the minimap. I haven't gone out into the country yet, though, so I can't say whether or not this issue occurs with the LSSD vehicles as well. They only seem to spawn every now and again, though I have seen four of them bunched up together at a red light. Other than this I've really been liking this mod, it's been much needed.

    Ah, too bad you couldn't get those on in time, they look great! I especially like that last one, the way it's focused on the officer in the foreground leaving the other out of focus gives it a nice effect :)

  7. I left the library and came back to a big "Play" button in place of "Pre-load"! I hit it - aaandd my horrid wifi decides to make wait another half hour to launch the damn thing so it can do updates :/ I just can't wait to see it at over 30fps. And I should have my new 960 in in a couple weeks or so so now I'll get a little "before and after" performance comparison. Gahh I can't wait to play this with that 960!

  8. Yeah that'd be great! I'd love to just live in the city for a while, then move out to the suburbs and settle down with a family. Then commute into the city on some highway cutting through the woods to go shopping or to work. I hope somebody eventually expands on the idea the Sims is working with right now, if they did it right it could be great. And with all the different jobs you could have (firefighter, police, criminal, etc.) this single game could attract fans of a lot of genres.

  9. Yeah, I had this same idea years ago! I always thought this seemed like an awesome concept, the simulation of the Sims mixed with the freedom of GTA. I got really into the idea when I was younger and even drew up some maps of the cities I wanted in it :P And I threw together lists of the cars I wanted in it, and even laid out a whole control scheme for the game. I'd love to see a game like this become reality, the possibilities with something like this are endless!

  10. Yes, I have a legal copy, and every police vehicle slot is modded. However, I usually make it past the vehicle selection; it tends to crash during a traffic stop, car chase, etc., especially when I'm interacting with criminals. I still might try a clean vehicles.img and reinstall cars one-by-one just to be sure.

  11. Hello, I am experiencing constant crashes with LCPDFR 1.0. It seems to be when I am choosing a police vehicle, soon after I have chosen it, or a little while later while on a call or traffic stop. I never seem to go more than 10 minutes without being ejected back to my homepage with a "GTA IV Has Stopped Working" message. Here are my logs:

  12. Hello, I have installed 1.0 using the automatic installer. As soon as the game loads, before the "Load Successful" message can disappear, I get "Error in script LCPDFR_Loader.Loader!". Then that immediately disappears and gives way to "LCPDFR has encountered a critical error while initializing and was shut down. Please check the log file." So, Here are my log files:

    Just so you know, I have no modded peds, my GTA IV root folder is NOT set to "Read Only", I run it as administrator, I installed everything the installer told me to (.NET 4.5, C++ Redistributable), and encountered no issues during the installation itself. Thanks!
