  1. What? You just have to download the latest rage hook and you can play.
  2. Thanks! I'm excited about it as well. And I'd just say..our goal is to first do this..but for the rest of Canadians who want to use another force as their base (RCMP) etc we would consider doing that too. (for those that live in other provinces)
  3. Ya, you are right..we have them in Ontario too.
  4. Great ideas man! One suggestion I'd give is a call to monitor a demonstration of some sort, and then have different potential outcomes. Maybe nothing goes wrong but you have to keep them within a specific area (by placing cones, etc). Maybe there start to be fights..but just fist fights. Maybe someone has a match and starts a fire? Really, could be anything. The whole challenge would be though dealing with 10-15 people who are demonstrating, and deciding what is important to handle before it gets out of control, and what issue may not be worth escalating because then it could really get out of control.
  5. Announcement of a mod I will be working on (relevant for those from Ontario, Canada and GTA area (Greater Toronto Area) + the usual patrol!
  6. at the parking areas around FIB building. How would I do something simple like that?
  7. @@cp702 I'm not a programmer or a modder so I apologize for my ignorance on how it actually works. But if I understand what you are saying, what I'm proposing is if you are in Vespucci Beach, (since Vespucci Beach has a small police station), and if other stations are not that close, or if the closest station can also be classified as small as well..you would see much fewer police vehicles spawn. Ie Maybe you get very little support. Or maybe you get that support but those extra units spawn 4-5 minutes later because of the distance of the other stations. Something like that.
  8. I mentioned both. I think it be cool to be able to control either the number of total vehicles in an area (ie Los Santos), OR, even more preferable, if we could actually control the number of vehicles available at each police station. The idea is really in line with the backup customization that is coming out with version 0.3 of LSPDFR. The backup customization allows us to control what vehicles/peds answer our calls (and if we prefer, we can specify this by area (ie Los Santos, Blaine County)..my idea is to basically put a minimum or maximum number of cop cars available for an area (ie Los Santos) or for specific police stations. The idea is partly to give people more control (sort of be the Chief of Police) and let people decide how many total vehicles you will have in an area or how many total vehicles you will have at each station, but I think it also opens up more opportunity for role-play and unique situations.
  9. Keep up the great work! Nice of you to take requests for other police departments.
  10. for a given area or police station be changed? Could we somehow control the total number of police vehicles in an area (Los Santos, Los Santos county, Blaine County)? or even more preferable, control how many vehicles total are available from each police station? This wasn't announced in the latest update for LSPDFR, but thought that it be sort of an obvious compliment to the backup customization recently announced. With Sam's and the teams latest work, we can control what sort of backup we want in each of the different areas, but for more control, and part of being a Police Chief/Administration would be to control how many vehicles total there be to call. It would give the player a sense of control, knowing they could place 8 total vehicles DT station, but maybe 2 at another, etc Cheers
  11. Is there also maybe someway (beside the mod) that we can control how many vehicles there are in LS, LSC, and BC? I sort of see these backup options as essentially giving the player control like a police chief would have, or some administrator, so being able to control in general how many total vehicles there would be in LS, LSC, BC..seems sort of natual. I'll probably be donating anyway, but if you guys can add this..donation secured!
  12. Hmm..k. I guess I was confused about the additional stuff you said about being able to customize it specifically for Blaine County, Los Santos, Los Santos County.
  13. Bumping my question. Sam, Could you clarify how we can actually specify what vehicles/peds show up for each jurisdiction (los santos county, los santos, blaine county)? We won't get to actually pick which police cars are stationed at each police station, right? (that would be cool though)
  14. Many of these call outs are already present. Check out the downloads page script section and look at the first two pages.
  15. I couldn't agree more. I don't think it is a small problem really, but not sure that much can be done about it. Don't get me wrong, game is still a lot of fun, but there would be so much more immersion if we felt that they were in fact actually backing us up in non-pursuit calls.
A great addition. The vehicle and the uniform look great.
  16. This is really stretching it, and I don't expect this, but would it be possible to pick which vehicles are at each police station? I know you said its possible to pick vehicles for the different jurisdictions.
  17. BTW.. We don't have counties in Canada, what is the distinction between Los Santos County and Los Santos?
  18. Wow. This was something I dreamed about being possible, and now it is! You guys are awesome!
  19. This was a fun one.

taking cover (like using your car as a shield) from incoming fire. what button on pc?
  21. ed1984 posted a topic in Legacy
Is there an actual button for this or is this not possible?
  22. Never had that problem. Are you sure you had your siren going? could the lights have been on and you heard other officers sirens?
  23. Yeah, I love that show man!
  24. Don't get me wrong I don't want CSI but be fun to have cases where you not only talk to people at a particular scene but can collect evidence. The best kind of scenarios would be that you only have a specific amount of time allotted to solve the case, so you must choose a course of action despite having a number of angles. Ie. You have 5 people to talk to on the scence. Do you talk to all of them? Who is important, who isn't? Ie The crime scene covers a large area. Do you go looking for further clues (to make sure you get additional charges),? is the evidence or proof you have currently enough to convict them? or do you go after the guy right away? What do you guys think?
