Well it worked for me at least. -
Bearishhh reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.2 Delay Update - 13 JulyTo follow on from the previous update I posted yesterday, we're still hard at work preparing LSPDFR 0.2 for release. At this time, it would appear that all issues caused by the latest update to GTA V have been resolved. Indeed, I spoke of the problem and its solution in more detail in the previous update regarding 0.2.
Unfortunately we're still experiencing issues with LSPDFR 0.2 which appear to be unrelated to the recent update and more of a problem with the modification itself. These are in the form of script crashes that some, but not all, have encountered during pursuit testing and this is something we've been looking in to. Unfortunately this seems to be quite a tricky problem to find as different users are experiencing different results. Nonetheless, I'm hopeful that we'll find the problem and resolve it relatively soon.
While LMS has been hard at work debugging most of our issues (both the ones caused by Rockstar's protections and ones of our own making), I've taken advantage of the extra time to add more polish to LSPDFR 0.2, and even introduce a new feature which I know will be very popular. To complement the police computer in a vehicle, here's a sneak peek of the equivalent system on foot:
Bear with us as we work this out. I guarantee you that LSPDFR 0.2 won't disappoint.

Bearishhh reacted to FinKone in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2Not interested in any type of stat tracking or progression. Once I started coding I went from 300 chases to 3000 in a week or so from testing, all because I forgot to turn it off. I'd rather have them invest the energy into better AI logic, better suspect handling (arresting, questioning, detaining, and so forth), and more stock callouts, then have some type of rank tree I'll be able to climb. I can see your point of view in terms of it adding more to the player that wants to feel in the role, but even if your a shift Sgt, or a Lt... all its going to be is a rank picture in a game, not like I'll really get to dictate what units go where and control them in terms of running a shift.
Before everyone gets mad at the post - keep in mind, its a opinion - just like yours is.
-
Bearishhh reacted to FinKone in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2Even if it doesn't have a plugin manager, people can still write "standalone" scripts till then (braveheart for example, is a really legit callout manager thats independent). I think I have seen some things in the API that deal with onwership for stuff also in regards to handing things off to LSPDFR - we'll see.
I've got some pretty sick ideas I cannot wait to get started on. Lately just been coding the EMS thing because its giving me the chance to learn how to do everything. I really look forward to making some stuff (... if I have any free time - been really damn busy lately.)

Bearishhh reacted to Sam in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2This is a nice way to think of it.
I apologise if my absence from this topic has been alarming, and I'm sorry that we don't have something for all of you to play yet. To be completely honest, if we had decided to set a release date, unleash the hype train and please everyone that is asking/demanding/begging for one, we'd have had a lot of very, very disappointed people on Friday.
Unfortunately we run into problems and barriers quite regularly during development. To give you a few examples, we had a serious performance issue that was discovered just yesterday resulting in the game running at 10 FPS during certain sequences. This was a problem caused by LSPDFR and was of the severity that it actually crashed the performance analysis tool we use. It took a few hours to resolve, and as with a lot of things in software development, the fix to issue caused more problems than it solved. To put it into context, and this is actually what happened, I had to spend my entire night, from 11pm until 3am re-writing one of the most crucial AI systems in the project - our custom pursuit AI. The fix to the first issue had broken the pursuit logic, and the result was that the internal timing for it was hideously broken - with things running too fast and too slow. Too fast meant that cops were trying to do three things at once. Too slow meant that cops were being left to their own devices for too long, and we all know what happens when you leave the LSPD to do their own thing (it involves a hail of bullets). So, after rewriting this pretty important part of the project to use our new timing system, what appeared to just be one problem had turned into a lot more, and we had to fix them before we could do anything else.
This is why a release date will never be given. When we wake up, we don't know what unforeseen problems are in store for us on that day. All I can say is that it has been a little over a week since what I promised would be the final trailer. The banner at the top still, in typical Sam fashion, still has the branding of a 'final countdown'. If I didn't believe that, I wouldn't keep it up there. I understand that people might be disappointed, but I suspect that this disappointment would be multiplied by a few billion if after the 'long' wait (a month and a bit), every time you tried to get into a chase in LSPDFR, your game ran at 10 FPS, and even if you could somehow cope with that, you had better hope you didn't encounter any backup units during that pursuit as if you did, you could forget about any notion of your suspect remaining alive for more than five seconds after. This is just some of the stuff we have to deal with. Let's try not to add the grief of a small number of people on here to that list.

Bearishhh reacted to Jety2011 in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2Without LSPDFR you can still beat them up :-). Like the trooper in gta IV says: "hands on the head or brain is on the street, your choice" :-D
-
Bearishhh got a reaction from Jety2011 in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2I honestly don't think it will have any affect on the releasedate.
That! Also I can't wait to ticket all these peds on foot ignoring the red light, making every car wait like they don't give a f...

Bearishhh reacted to Jety2011 in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2I hope that checking people on foot is a feature (don't know if i was already mentioned). Frisking, Id-Check, detaining...something like that.
I know that almost every hiker in San Andreas is used for drug trafficking. The guys with the big backpacks, you know....a lot of space for illegal shit :-D

Bearishhh got a reaction from vynlthrash in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2They placed a question a day on Facebook since the release of the second trailer. Questions to the community like: keyboard or controller?
Today it stated it was the final question. Not trying to hype here! ;)

Bearishhh reacted to Synthacrat in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2So I can see and hear all the rumors about all these arrest animations.....tbh that is one of the main reasons I am getting super pumped about this mod. I woudl like to knock someone down with the rag-doll/tackle animation after a foot pursuit and be able to arrest him on the ground with a bunch of officers right there beside me aiming tasers and or guns at the suspect.

Bearishhh got a reaction from vynlthrash in The Final Countdown - LSPDFR Trailer 2Never heard of that game, I just took a look at their website. It's ambitious, but I think you're not far off by stating it will probably be released next century. I think they will have a hard time keeping up with lspdfr.
