How do you get ELS to work. Whenever I try to press any of the key binds nothing happens aside from J toggles the sirens

About a year ago, we announced the development of LSPDFR 0.4.  We said it was big, and we said it was different, but I honestly don't think any of us quite imagined just how big and different it would turn out to be, nor how much of a challenge it would be to take the concepts and ideas that we had and turn them into reality.
 
Still, here we are.  Thousands of changes later, we're here.  Everyone on the team is delighted to announce the first public release of LSPDFR 0.4, available now.
 
LSPDFR 0.4 brings sweeping changes which have been implemented over a number of years, so much so that we're not able to provide full release notes.  Instead, we've put together a number of resources, new to LSPDFR 0.4, including a 'wiki' and a collection of more in-depth guides.
 
Note as well that because of this - the sheer number of things that have changed - there will  be issues.  We've put over two months into testing 0.4, and we've made hundreds of fixes in this time.  Still, there's undoubtedly going to be things that we've missed, or things that simply can't be tested in a controlled environment.  This is a big release, and we wanted to do right by all of you by getting it out as soon as we can.
 
With that being said, I'll shut up now and let the mod speak for itself.

Note that we strongly recommend installing LSPDFR 0.4 for the first time on a clean copy of Grand Theft Auto V with no other mods or plugins.

I have been playing the game with various plugins/mods and enjoying it very much, but am having difficulty when it comes to some of the controls. I use an Xbox controller in conjunction with my keyboard to be able to utilise the full scope of things like ELS and Traffic Officer but it's awkward having to switch between the two.
I'd like to find a way to maybe calibrate the keybinds to the Xbox controller so I only have to use that? I prefer using the controller for driving purposes, primarily.
Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Yeah, don't hold your breath. Script Hook V's author and creator is rather slow when it comes to updates, sometimes it's weeks sometimes past a month. Hoping he hands off the file to a more active community member in either the LCPDFR or GTA V Mods community, because tens of thousands are dependent on it and he's the only one who can update it. Someone has it uploaded on another site and so many people were spamming comments to update it due to new GTA V version he disabled comments on the file!, lol.

Nah, LSPDFR and all of your Plugins will work fine. It's just scripts and other things in your " Scripts " folder will not load or work properly. You can still play LSPDFR and from what I tested all of my plugins and call out packs seem to work properly on the new version.

Ok, because I have AT&T and IT support said that they are blocking downloads due to it being unsafe. So the workaround I have found for now was to get a VPN.
 
I did not have this problem until you changed servers so it is mainly on your side.

To the best of my knowledge, this is something the developers have to fix this. 

I do need to stress that this is not inherently an issue with our site, and that we've been serving almost all downloads without issue. When we set up the CDN last month, we made the fairly safe assumption that your IP address will be the same when you complete the CAPTCHA as when you start downloading. For a very small amount of users, this doesn't seem to always be the case. This is a fairly elementary security check that, since your ISP is doing something weird, will impact your usage of other websites and not just ours.
 
However, this is something we want to help affected users with. We're working on a workaround and we'll let you know when it is available.
 
 

Hello, i also have the Problem...

I opened a topic a while ago because of the 403 Forbidden message and it was solved with the other download method, why did you take that down? I can't download anything from the site. Thanks for the answers!

It's currently no longer an option, if you're still experiencing download issues, please let us know exactly what error you are experiencing.

I think I think a potential workaround for this and will let you know when we make it available.

I got this error once last night, but now I'm able to download everything just fine.

I am having the same issue. I believe that it is their website? I am not sure it has been doing this for the past few days.
