Rich Sobilo reacted to TaylorSwift in 2016 Florida Highway Patrol PackI figured since a lot of people creating car packs end up making topics on them, I may as well make one for my WIP cars. I'm creating the Florida Highway Patrol, and I'm open to suggestions on what to add to my current plans. I'll be creating this pack using parts from @Thehurk, @OfficerFive0, and @RoegonTV, along with parts created by myself.
Plans:
There will be a few agencies implemented into this pack besides the Florida Highway Patrol.

Rich Sobilo reacted to Thecheater887 in Plugin Developing; First Time QuestionsHello.
I am looking into making modifications for LSPDFR and RAGE, unfortunately, the documentation is very hard to navigate, and somewhat difficult to understand.
I've got a ((pretty bad looking)) code structure already completed, however, I need some help on some things.
First, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, feel free to move it if necessary. Second, these are very noobish questions, but I'm asking not only for myself, but so others don't have to humiliate themselves asking if they need the same information.
I am writing in C# using VS2015.
I need to know how to, or be refrenced towards how to;
- Make a custom pause menu sector, or lookalike, refrence, British Policing Script
- Disable all human peds and vehicles from naturally spawning
- Spawn vehicles with advanced livery
- Spawn custom human peds, walking and in vehicles
- Set a human or vehicle ped destination
- Override spawning method that the default "Backup" menu uses
- Override default LSPDFR menus.
- Make my plugin run code in another CLI-compliant language, builtin ((safe)) or external ((not safe))
- Override human ped and vehicle AI functions
- Make LSPDFR use stats from my plugin instead of relying on RNGesus, for things such as wanted for, flags, citations, etc.
- Use a multiple-choice menu similar to the "Suicidal Intent" callout to change ped and officer speech and reaction.
Using the API's and SDK's, I run into a recurring issue, where the entire structure of the classes and functions imported are not displayed, so I am unsure how to do many of those things.
Also, C# is a new concept for me, so I'm still on the beginner side of things.
I am well aware that this is a difficult task, and may need to be multiple plugins, however, I learn from trial and error, and if I can't figure out the trials, I can't get the errors.
Sorry, and thanks again!

Rich Sobilo got a reaction from Scuderio in How to rise up the High Rise Lightbar?in the ELS ini the is a line "arrow board" make sure that is set to "both" and then while in game its alt+k but make sure your using a car that the sticks go up!
replace this line with the one in the ini file. EnableArrowBoard = both
If it helps make sure you rep it up!

Rich Sobilo reacted to Ben in GTA MultiFiveEh' I doubt it would make a difference. They'll just issue DMCA takedown requests to companies that host their sites, they'll do their best to stop them from redistributing their modification anywhere. It's a true shame though, because all the Community wants is to have their own custom ways of playing GTA V Online.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble here but that caprice model you have is mine and you won't be able to release with it for V.

Rich Sobilo got a reaction from lverb03 in How to rise up the High Rise Lightbar? You do have els 8.5 correct?
Make sure the vehicle is in the slot control ini with the correct els ini file as I gave you above!
If they are not in the slot control it will not work! And check the model you have, sgt kanyo updated the car, so make its the correct one! If it continues, we can set a day and time, if you have teamviewer and see what the problem is if its not working still!

No, but it's something that we may consider once we get a fully functional MDC system working. We would like to make it future proof for if/when GTA V gets online with playable mods like LSPDFR or life communities, they will be able to utilize this mod into their everyday gameplay.
Ok everyone, we finally got some more kinks worked out and was able to test it with 3 of us playing the game and all using the MDC at once to handle calls. We still have a lot of work ahead of us, so please head over to our site and check out this post to give us some feedback. It's easier for us to manage post and polls on our site since we are on there everyday.
Here is an update video showing what we have so far and we think you will like how it's coming along.

Rich Sobilo reacted to Sam in LSPDFR 0.3 - Backup CustomizationThis is the second part of our LSPDFR 0.3 preview series. For more information about the background behind 0.3, check out the first installment in this series here: http://www.lcpdfr.com/forums/topic/55130-lspdfr-03-announcement-first-preview/
In spirit of keeping up to date with the most hotly requested features for future versions of LSPDFR, customization of responding police units simply had to be near the top of our list.
LSPDFR 0.3 introduces an all-new Backup XML file which lets you customize, in great detail, just what kind of cops and vehicles LSPDFR should dispatch for each of the seven in-built backup types. (The eagle-eyed among you are probably thinking "but wait, there's only six types". Not anymore!)
I like planes. Now, LSPDFR likes planes too.
The power of this new XML based system is absolutely unparalleled to anything we've ever had before in LSPDFR or LCPDFR, and also allows much, much more refinement than traditional .ini configuration files seen in other modifications like ELS. Presented in the same sort of format as many of the data files in the original game itself, we hope it will be super easy to use, too.
With this new feature, you can precisely choose:
The vehicles that respond for each backup type (and you can have as many as you like). + Vehicle liveries (on a per-vehicle basis) + Minimum and maximum number of occupants (again, for each vehicle) The peds that respond for each type (again, as many as you please).+ Ped component models (for each ped) On top of this, you can do the above customization for each of the four distinct areas within the game:
Blaine County North Yankton Los Santos Los Santos County That's right, this means you can now finally have different units operating all four different areas. Plus, if you're feeling particularly adventurous you could actually think of each of these areas as being a different entity entirely with their own state, local, SWAT and air units. There's really very little in terms of limits as to what you can do with this exciting new system.
Oh yeah, it doesn't even end there either. With 0.3, an all-new unit type has been added which, for the first time, lets you call for emergency medical services.
Furthermore, unlike the regular medics in the game, medical units dispatched by LSPDFR will actually attempt to treat injured pedestrians.
Just one more thing... As if completely configurable backup units and the new medics weren't enough, we also managed to make a few improvements to the way in which units arrive at backup requests. This means you can have scenes that look almost like they're straight out of a cop movie, without the trainer.
