GTA IV definitely is worth it, it's much more realistic than V and lspdfr.

You'll only crash if you use shitty mods.
It's the richest story in any GTA game.

GTA IV is ultimately the best video game in existence in my opinion. You don't need poorly made car mods and all that ENB trashlid filter crap to enjoy that masterpiece of a game. They take away from the experience. Buy it, play the story, free roam the city, and just take in the ambience.

    I also recommend this.

Fixes to a lot of small issues, additions to the cops, EFLC vehicles, strooper cars, and some other neat features.

It ultimately comes down to what you want.  Modding wise, LCPDFR is dead.  If you look at the GTA IV modding section, there's only 2-3 mods that were recently released.  If you're fine with not having any new mods come out, go for it.  Also bear in mind, LCPDFR support is also dead.  People still post support topics, but very rarely even get an answer.

If you're using Albo's Arrest Manager, try to use the older version, since the latest one 7.9.0.0 is draining more FPS.
I'm using Arrest Manager 7.8.2.1 and got +10 FPS back.

Albo doesn't provide support, at least on here.   A big reason his mods eat up FPS is because of what they do, it's unavoidable if you want to use them.  Albo would have to do something, or see if it's possible to use less resources.

i heard from posts in past, that the more plug-ins you install, it can cause frame drops, currently i get frame drops, but i got 15+ plugins installed. my frames started to drop after around 10 plugins, some of the files are not optimized, i been so busy with other things i have not found a work around to fix fps drops with mods, but if i come across something i will let you know.
