Farewell, LCPD:FR
Greetings everyone, both new and old. Thank you for taking the time to read this post, for it will be my last on the LCPD:FR forums. I amn't sure as to where I should post this, but I feel that since it is me saying goodbye, the discussion forum is as good a place as any. I am sad to say friends, that today is the day I have removed both LCPD:FR and GTA IV from my system. Everytime I start up the mod and go on duty, I get a 'GTA IV Fatal Error' - sometimes almost immediatley. I have viewed your support forums and tried everything you have suggested relating to this issue, including everything you have not, yet, sadly, nothing has fixed the problem. Please be clear that I am NOT blaming you OR your mods for the crashes, I am merely saying I cannot use nor enjoy any of them as they continually occur. I really wish there was another solution to this issue as this is the best mod I have ever seen. I respect each and every one of you modders and developers because you bring us these excellent mods through hard work, dedication and lots of your own time, without being asked to do so and without being compensated for your efforts. The quality of work you produce is worth charging for, but the fact you choose not to speaks volumes about you. It is for those reasons, plus many, many more, that I will respect each and every one of you and I thank you for the fun times LCPD:FR brought me. Really, thank you. I can move on to other aspects of gaming knowing that, after years of searching for a mod such as this, not only did I get to use it, but I got to meet and chat to the very people who made it possible. It is a proud moment for me. Keep up the hard work friends. I wish you all the best in your lives, both now and in the future. This is Officer AimForTheBrain, handing in his badge and firearms. My cruiser is in the garage below the station. May it serve you well.

LCPDFR RC3
I only read the first few posts of this topic and I want to express my opinion on this subject. Those of you who are saying "It's been long enough, release it." are just putting more pressure on the Development Team and it seems to me that if they did release it because you demanded them to and you found a few bugs, you'd come back onto the forums and whine some more. Personally, I don't mind waiting for this new version as I understand that there is a lot of work involved in getting it to the high standard of work they produce already. The Devs do have lives of their own, and all of their time should not be dedicated solely to this mod, which is FREE. It is their time, and how they spend it is entirely up to them. They get almost next to nothing in return and when people like you come on and complain about it being long enough and you want it released that just makes it worse. It's done when it's done. To everyone at G17: Keep up the good work guys and gals. You have my full support and respect. Just take your time on this mod and ignore people who demand it be released. You're all amazing.

Liberty City Responders [MP Group]
That is good news. Usually when players arrange online matches for whatever game they require those taking part to have a microphone in order to make communication easier. I don't have TeamSpeak either, but I can soon download that if I can still use it without a microphone.

Am I still able to apply to join even though I have no microphone?

No "speech", officer sound. How can i fix this?
If you don't want to hear the dialogue, might I kindly suggest that you play a unit that has none, such as the FIB agent or the Security guard?

HEADACHE
It'd probably be easier if you checked for updates as you only need to do that once, but it's up to you. Let us know if it gets worse.

Well done then. Sorry I took so long in getting back to you. I found a load of possible fixes to this bug posted on other forums, but they all ended up bugging something else. Hardly a fix, eh? Anyway, I did come across that fix but I didn't have the time to post it for you. Congratulations on figuring it out for yourself.

I write this in the hope that you have not yet bought a replacement graphics card. Why don't you check and see if there are any updates available for your current card? They are usually free so will obviously be much cheaper than buying a new card when it may turn out that you don't need a new one. If there are no updates then I am afraid your only option might be to buy a new card after all.

LCPDFR GTAIV Multi-Player Vids/Screenshots
That method worked. Thanks again. Do you know if the spawning of the body armour model is random or not? I've seen AI cops with it but I have, so far, been unable to select it. Kinda feels like this is thread-jacking... not sure if it is or not though.

LCPDFR GTAIV Multi-Player Vids/Screenshots
Thank you. Edit: I tried to install them by following the instructions in the readme.txt but I got told three times access was denied when I tried saving the changes. I made a point of unchecking 'Read Only' in the Properties menu on both the folder and the file before I made the changes but it didn't work.

Nice videos, Magic. Can I just ask what officer model/skin/texture you are using in the 3rd video? It's one of the best I've seen and I have been looking for something like it for a while. Is it available for download?

If the only issue you are experiencing now is texture related, that tells me the fault is with your graphics card. It may not be good enough to run the game. What kind of card is it?

Can't get into a taxi as a passenger.
No problem.

That is indeed strange. I'll do some digging and see if I can find a potential fix for you.
