Hello everyone, Few weeks ago I asked what could be my problem with my computer not running GTA well. Many of you told me that it was my grapic card that was not good enough for the game. So now, I would ask you what could be the best card I could put in my computer ? I own a Acer AM3970 EB15P with intel core I7 3rd gen. My actual graphic card is an amd Radeon HD 7470 2gb. I'M ready to put around 150-200$ for it .. what could be the best solution for me ? Thanks to everyone who might help, Challenger331

Déjà tout essayer, rien n'y fait ! J'ai parlé avec plusieurs experts en informatiques et m'ont expliqué que ma carte serait vraisemblablement incompatible avec DIrectx 9 , ce qui ferait en sorte que le jeu ne fonctionnerait jamais !

Bonjour à tous, Je cherche à changer ma carte graphique .. j'aimerais mettre un budget d'environ 150$ la dessus. actuellement, celle dans mon ordinateur est une Radeon HD 7470 2gb, et je n'arrive pas a virer GTA. le jeu lag énormément. Après demande aux gens sur plusieurs forums, mon problème serait rattaché à ma carte. Je possède une Acer AM3970 EB15P. allright. But that's weird ..my old harddrive was a way slower than my new one ( about 4000 rpm .. ) and was running gta pretty fine .. so I bet my problem is on my gpu ! Thank you again !

Thanks a lot for your anwsers guys. I'm going to check it out .. my cpu is brandnew, I can still change it for a better one at store so I'm going to take a look. Anyone has an Idea of the minimum Hard Drive speed needed for gta iv ? And I'm not really good into computers, what does GPU means ? Again, a big thanks for both of you !

Hello everyone, I just changed my computer for a new Acer Aspire AM3970-EB15P. It uses a ATI Radeon HD 7470 with 2gb Graphic card and it works under windows 7. However, after installing GTA IV and the last patch, the game is still lagging a lot. I don't know why, I bought that computer because it was better than my older one ( which was running GTA IV pretty fine but the computer died ) I was using a HP Pavillon but don't remember exactly the spec ... I've placed directx 11 in the tittle because I found somewhere that it might not work with GTA IV, which is only compatible with Directx 9. I tried many things to put dx9 in my computer instead of dx11, or simply got both, but I was not able ... Anyone can help me with that ? I don't know what I could possibly do, and I want to keep playing lcpdfr. Thanks to every one for the future help, Challenger331

The fact is that The CVPI is no longer used by our police forces, which has been replace by Impala, 1st and 2nd generation chargers. I'm looking for the skins of these cars. Yes, and because I always wanted to mod a GTA. I was waiting for it price to go down a bit because I already have it on 360. I finaly found a PC copy at 19.99$ And I bought it .. I can't stop modding it now haha. I wish my computer will be back from repair soon, got to many problems :(

I'm only using ELS and I donwloaded one police car ( a crownvic from where I'm living ). I tried without them, and there is no difference. I did download the diag tools, My computer don't wan'T to run it. It stops after checking " GTA IV Scripthook found a valid ( can'T read the end ). I've got a error message that says that it stops working correctly. For the flash, it feels like a camera flash, but only on big object. It happens time to time. For example, It can be the sky. Few mins after, it's the road, or a bunch of car, or buildings. The last time, it was the all the lights effect ( I don't know how to describe it in english to be clearer ). every " reflects " were flashing. it last half a second, and then everything is ok, until one of them make the game crash. Hello everyone ! It's been a while I'm playing LCPDFR. Everytime I play, I got " calls " problems. For example, If I go on a suicidal subject, even if I aim at him, some times the little red bar won't appear. If I try to kill him, a red dot stays over him and the " mission " Is never finished. It can happend on every call, at different moment of the game. An other example I can give you is that I got a call, I'm running after the suspect, I'm calling backups, and when I try to bust it, it won't work. After that, I won't receive anymore calls. Also ... I know it's not an LCPDFR trouble, but maybe someone can help me with that. Sometimes, I got big flash in my screen ( always at night or when the sun is going down ). I've got the most recent drivers for my graphic card. I'm playing with a GeForce GTS 250. IF anyone knows ... please help me ! Some times, it makes the game crash, only when I'm playing LCPDFR. Can some one help me with this ? My english may be hard to understand, it's not my first language. If there is anything, just say I'm going to try to make it clearer !
