I don't know if it still matters but I tried it and it makes the vehicle translucent

Sometimes it is police_sign_1 or but sometimes they go by a different name. Just check which ones are already there.

I have always wanted to test this out, but I never got around to it. It probably won't work because the proper way is to find the .png texture and open the .wft file and import it as "_____sign___" as the name may vary depending on the car.

That is the reason, if you save while on duty, it won't work.

I'm not that into driving into a police station. I usually teleport there. But, I am kinda getting tired of going to the same 3 police stations by my safehouse. Is there anyway to be able to see all the police stations on the map instead of the three closest?
