What rims are these? (1984 LTD)
Standard tire size: P 185/75 R 14 Tire width (mm): 185 Tire sidewall factor: 75 Rim size (in): 14 Total wheel diameter (mm / in): 633 / 24.9 http://www.automobile-catalog.com/tire/1984/874550/ford_ltd_4-door_sedan_2_3l_automatic.html Presumably you'd have to match the bolt pattern and width. If the Fox Body LTD used the same wheel sizes as the Fox Body Mustang you'll be set.

What was this used for during the 1950's-1980's?
They're dump or drop pouches by the looks of it, for carrying loose rounds as Lundy said. Some had snaps on both the top and the bottom, so you could un-do the bottom and the rounds would fall right into your hands. Speedloader pouches tend to be a bit wider and either cylindrical or boxier, like this;

Car Accident in Jamaica, New York
They run practically 24/7, get driven incredibly hard, and have to deal with the pothole-ridden streets of the city.

The Official Crown Victoria Thread
^ I always love the enthusiasm and crowds those videos seem to draw. The actual cars usually have equipment that is completely incorrect for the department they're trying to go for if they're trying to emulate a specific one, but the effort is nice nonetheless. (Check out that "NYPD" Caprice at 4:18. Haha.)

Supposedly the EGR system gets clogged pretty well with carbon buildup, and the pressure sensor within that system tends to be its weakest link. Good luck with the fix!

How many different lightbars uses your local PD?
Pretty sure the first one is a Whelen Model 80, and the second possibly a Whelen Advantedge.

The Official Crown Victoria Thread
The standard model Crown Victorias had separate bulbs for amber turn signals until Ford changed to a single bulb, red turn signal setup in 2004. The police interceptor models in '03 had all red turn signals (and I believe they made the switch from amber to all red in '99), but being that mine is a street appearance package car it was optioned from the factory for the amber ones, to resemble the civilian models. I understand that changing them from all red to red and amber (and vice versa) isn't too difficult given that you have the correct parts. http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2473337 http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1228901&#Post1228901 http://www.crownvic.net/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=2409689

Here's my '03. It soaks up potholes and bombed-out roads with ease, and while thirsty, moves like a champ. I was glad that it was a street appearance package car, being that I love all of the chrome trimmings. Bought it used in and brought it up from North Carolina; let's just hope it survives a few NYC winters while being parked on the street.

Gonna quote myself from The Mind-Boggling Classic Cop Car Thread. May we never forget the sacrifices made that day.

That's a Chevy Lumina. --- On a more positive note, the NYPD held a memorial parade for the fifteenth anniversary of 9/11, with plenty of vintage RMPs on hand. A fitting, and heartfelt tribute.

GTAIV Request NYPD 80~90S Siren - Mark 7
I could have sworn that there were a few floating around, but it seems like the download links have gone missing. Here was the one that I was using, but I don't remember where it came from. You can't beat the classic sound of a Mark VII! HORNS.ivaud

Nope, no car troubles here!
I must complement the effort taken to make the engine bay accurate. I drive an '03, so to see it faithfully recreated is always nice. :D
