  1. My local forces (Sussex Police) Roads Policing Unit (read: Traffic Unit)
  2. Not really much point, just wait until the PC release, someone is bound to port the map over to IV, although I really don't see much point.
  3. This'll be a pretty long post covering various points, so I'll place them in small headers. Interiors I'm actually not too concerned over the lack of interiors because I know that Rockstar have used some form of wizardry to get a game of this graphical and hardware intensive size onto current generation consoles, its nothing short of spectacular and I cannot wait to see what plans they have for the next installment on the newer generation of consoles. Story Length I'm pretty disappointed with the length of the story in the game, I feel like I wasn't given the time to learn and appreciate each of the three main characters, it all felt very.. rushed and followed the same GTA gimmick of "Drive here, shoot this guy, steal this thing" albeit with some variation although I will admit I quickly grew fond of Michael due to the incredible writing and motion-captured animations, the characters felt very life-like which helped connect me with them. Online It took me about two days of non-stop trying to get into online and passed that damn buggy tutorial mission which shouldn't need other players to pass anyway. But once I got passed it, it was amazing. I was lucky enough not to lose my character during the massive Cloud Server failures, my only gripe is that when lag hits, it hits HARD. I've seen cars speed past me as if they were rockets. Payouts seem to be broken (friends who've done less than me in a mission get paid more than me) and Passive Mode needs an update so that other players cannot kill you AT ALL whilst its enabled. Overall though, its easily one of the best games I've ever played and I think it just took home Game of the Year at the Golden Joystick Awards.
  4. I was at that concert. It was my first ever concert and it was incredible, the entrance was awesome and made everyone go nuts. I'm going back again in November to see them, and I can't wait. Beer Tossing, T-Shirt Cannons and more.
  5. Backstory: Some woman apparently accuses an NYC cab driver and his passengers of "stealing her cab". The officers reaction is absolutely hilarious from 0:56 onwards.
  6. I'm confused.. Did the parent have a weapon like a gun or bladed object? I don't see a valid reason to send a school into a lockdown over a screaming parent. Over here in the UK they just remain calm and the parent will eventually give up and leave.
  7. Small update, here's a photo holding up the fake AK47 used by the teenager and a real, working AK. It'd be hard to tell the difference from a quick look, time that isn't available when you need to make a split second decision.
  8. Welcome to the community!
  9. From what I understand, the kid refused to drop the weapon after multiple requests from deputies although it is common sense to drop whatever firearm you are carrying, even if its an imitation and raise your hands to show the officers that you aren't attempting to put their lives in danger through your actions. If I was playing paintball with some friends in a wooded area and some cops come roaring up to us, first thing I'd do is drop the guns to show I mean no malicious intent with them, no matter how real or fake they look. The gun looks exactly like an AK-47. It looks like he removed the orange tips that are required on airsoft guns so until someone gets close and looks at it, they wouldn't know it was a fake gun. Most of you may well jump onto the "Well, the police shouldn't shoot first and ask questions later" bandwagon but please try to put yourselves in the shoes of the officer as he arrived on scene, he has no further details other than someone with a possible automatic firearm and has no idea whether its loaded or not. Whats even more concerning is that they asked him multiple times to put it down but he seemingly refused. Now, with those facts in mind, if you were the officer and you had to make a split second decision whether to ask him a final time and possibly die or eliminate the threat as quickly and safely as possible? Please don't take this as literal evidence to shoot a child, I've only just heard of this and I'm reading into it. Will update my post accordingly

  11. Bartender at a local members-only pub. I love every second of it, due to the restricted access I've become friends with many of the great people who are members and as such I enjoy going to work each and every day,
  12. I've only had them chase after me in that situation when I've played as Trevor: Trevor [Flips Bird]: You guys are real losers, you know that? Officers: Shut the hell up, scumbag Trevor [Flips Bird Again]: You guys don't deserve the uniform! You deserve a straight-jacket! They proceeded to flick on their sirens and speed after me whilst I was laughing my ass off.
  13. The police do use spike strips on you during a chase, I've hit quite a few of them
  14. Thats a bit difficult to answer seeing as GTA Online has not been launched yet.
  15. I think that was a reported bug that locks you out of the strip club for some unknown reason, you will have to either revert to a previous save or wait until a patch is released
  16. I actually didn't bother reading what features they promised. All I know is I love the new look, I don't care for the features at all. It just looks cleaner now
  17. It happens alot. I was happily speeding along earlier and slammed into a deer that ran into the road. Some guy on a passing bike obviously didn't like this as he spun around and opened fire on me.
  18. Those two vehicles were actually fake Metropolitan Police vehicles used for the Fast & Furious 6 film. They filmed most of it in Scotland for some reason.
  19. TIPS & TRICKS Highlighting the cool little tricks found within Grand Theft Auto V After seeing a similar thread on /r/GrandTheftAutoV , I've decided to compile all the nifty little tips, tricks and small details that most people seem to miss. If you have any that haven't been featured here, feel free to post them and I'll add them to the main post, full credit will be given. Story spoilers must be posted in a Leaving a car engine on when exiting After Rockstar annoyingly removed the feature to leave the engine running by tapping the exit button, its been harder to get away from the cops when you've lost those valuable seconds starting the engine, but there is a fix. Stand beside the car of your choice, tap the punch button then quickly get into the vehicle, you have a 5 second window in which to do this otherwise you have to start again. Once the engine starts, simply get out and the car should stay running. This is useful for getaways or sitting by a cliff at sunset with the radio in the background. Characters follow any waypoints you set them when you switch away from them [Credit: Sanderat] Set a waypoint as any character and switch to another, head to the location you set for the other character and wait, they'll eventually turn up and either ask you what you're doing there or knock you out You can still ride taxi's when you have no money [Credit: Alerion] But you'll receive a one star wanted level upon reaching your destination You can look inside a vehicle when a conversation is happening [Credit: Hendrikdejager] Switch to the hood view and rotate the camera 180 degrees to see the characters, this makes it impossible to drive however. You can hide from the police in large bushes and switch vehicles when they can't see you When you aren't visible to the police, your cursor on the minimap will turn grey. This happens when you're hiding in a bush or have switched to a new vehicle you can freely drive past a responding cop car and they won't recognize you. Do not stop however, because they will recognize you unless you have blacked out windows.
  20. I'm curious as to where you found most of these, I've only ever seen the following: LSPD Cruiser Police Interceptor LS County Cruiser Park Ranger SUV I thought the unmarked and the buffalo were online vehicles only? How are people finding the other ones? I've only seen a handful of police cars patrolling the streets too.
  21. I'm heading to the midnight launch straight after work tonight. Speed limits may or may not be broken.
  22. Looks like we missed the start of the show by a few hours. But I'll leave this thread open for the eventual audio recording.
  23. I've just found out about this thanks to the GTA V Subreddit, but Lazlow the loved radio personality from; GTA 3 GTA Vice City GTA San Andreas GTA IV GTA V Has taken over the radio station for the entire night and is playing some truly amazing and classic songs found in the GTA games, inbetween songs he's answering questions about the newest installment. One thing he said was its taken Over a year of motion capture for the three main characters to get all the animations needed.
