Please don't add to the rumor mill.  Unless you're 100% positive and can quote it from management, best to ignore mentioning anything.  Management has said multiple times (and I can find the posts) LSPDFR will be single player only for the foreseeable future, and there are no plans.

I highly recommend doing everything from scratch when 0.4 comes out anyway.

What was that part about the police officer being run over in 2001? Reenacting Need for Speed? That's a load of bull, there's NEVER been pedestrians, yet alone police officers, that you can run over in the Need for Speed series. It was/still is strictly a driving/racing game.

It's great to see the "video games are bad because such and such" news stories coming in again though. Really shows that nobody has a clue what they're talking about.

Holy crap what a joke of a report... The funny thing is I reckon most of the people who play LSPDFR are some of the more pro-police individuals who are probably more sympathetic to the troubles officers face compared to your average person. Yet here's this report demonizing us because we dare to differentiate real world violence from video game violence and shoot video game characters.

If you are using Avast add GTA V as an exception. Go to General, look for Exceptions and proceed to add the entire GTA V directory. The latest Avast update seems to have caused this.
 

Cleaned up some hijacking. In the future, please create your own topic if you are having issues with your game. It can be hard to support multiple people in one topic as everyone has a different situation. "Crash on startup" is the most generic problem that can be caused by a very large number of different issues. To narrow down your issue, it is best to have your own topic.

I also went into the command line and added -scOfflineOnly then went into the game and selected load into single player. Im only adding this in case someone else encounters this problem and google's the problem
