Did you ever get this working? I have been keeping an eye on this post for some time as i have the exact same issue. Sometimes, if you press DPadLeft + B at the exact same time, it will work but that is very rare in my case.

Ah, i thought that would be the case but i was hopeful anyway! Never mind I just figured out i can map Better EMS to controller which i didn't know before, so that is something. Thank you for your reply!

Is there a way to make this work with BejoIjo's Ultimate Backup? I would love to use Better EMS with it. If someone has found a way to make it work i would be very interested! only reason i am not using BetterEMS currently is that i do not want to use my keyboard every time i call EMS as i use a controller and prefer to use Ultimate Backup's menu for EMS. Thank you.

I had it working fine until the last two mods i added so i figured it is a conflict or something with them. It is great that Bejoijo's support is aware of the issue and hopefully there is something Bejoijo can do about it. I will keep trying it and keep my fingers crossed it sorts itself out, but i guess that is part of the fun of modding! Thanks for the reply though and i hope it sorts itself out for you too.

Hi all, I have been playing a lot of LSPDFR recently and have a heavily modded game. I just installed VisualV and Natural Vision Remastered and have noticed my flashlight does not work at all anymore. After installing the above mods, i saw that my visualsettings.dat file had been replaced by one of them and the car lights looked dim so i overwrote it with my RadianceV mod that i like after trying to edit it myself and not being happy with the results. The flashlight on my weapon is still there if i hit DPadRight while aiming no problem, but if i get out the flashlight itself, it is simply completely off and does nothing. I know it was working fine before these mods were installed but do not really want to remove them just for this. Has anyone else had this issue too? I also use BejoIjo's Stop The Ped and have the EnableAdvancedFlashlight=yes and Ambient.DisablePlayerFlashlightOverride = True. Can anyone help me get my flashlight working again or give me a clue as to how to go about trouble shooting? I have trawled through the visualsettings.dat file but found nothing relating to the flashlight in there. I have downloaded a flashlight mod that i will try tomorrow but i would rather use the STP advanced one. Thank you for your time. Yeah i added a few mods and everything works great apart from random CTD's every half hour or so! good fun while it lasts though i think i will wait to see if LCPDFR gets updated for 1.0.8.0. Off topic: I play with an Xbox 360 controller, is it possible to map my siren and lights to it? I understand pressing "G" should turn on my siren (though it does not) and "J" for my lights, though I would like to remap my controls. Thanks again!

Well after reinstalling GTA IV and LCPDFR it all seems to be working so far. I will slowly start to add in the other mods until it breaks again lol!

Thanks for your reply. That's what i thought too, i even redownloaded the 1.0.7.0 patch and reapplied it but the problem persists. EDIT:Just reinstalled the game and downgraded, now GTAIV.exe correctly reads 1.0.7.0 Time to start over again! :)

Hey, I simply cannot get the mod working. I have made a copy of my GTA IV to mod. I have downgraded my steam copy of GTA IV by installing Rockstar's 1.0.7.0 patch and then installed LCPDFR manually (yes i installed to the root directory). I have checked that the files are in the correct place according to the "How to get support page" I have run the diagnostics tool and everything is green except for the "log check" which is red. Below is my log: I have tried running the game as admin but although the game loads with a new start, pressing alt-p does nothing. I have been at this for hours now and am at my wit's end as i did not want to post here unless i really could say i have tried every fix i could find! It is late and i'm tired so please forgive me if i have not provided all the information you need. If it helps, after installing the 1.0.7.0 patch, the GTAIV.exe is still 1.0.8.0. Also, the folder was set to read-only but i unchecked that and clicked ok. Needless to say, i am not using a crack, just the steam version. I really want to give this mod a try but it appears i will not be able to! I have installed the .net framework and the C++ redistributables. AdvancedHook.log: scripthook.log: scripthookdotnet.log: advancedhook.log: No other mods installed yet (EDIT:DynamicHUD was installed at the time of the log but has since been deleted) i have some i want to try but until i can get the mod working.... Please can someone help me? I'm sure it is something amazingly simple that i am overlooking in my tired state! :) For now, I am going to delete everything and start fresh and see if that helps.
