Vehicle build tutorial
@TheroI appreciate it. I'll be sure to "donate" to you for your time then. I don't mind spending a few hours watching a good tutorial. With your current ones, it's just hard to understand what you are doing and WHY you are doing it; especially when it comes to the more advanced items (interiors, extras). That's why I'm suggesting a more "basic" build focusing on the main components with captions or someway to highlight/explain the important steps. How did you learn to mod? Are there any good reference materials you can point me to or things you used to learn? I'm a quick study. I used to mod cars for NFS HS back in the day. The core concept seems the same but the tech is way more advanced now.

Vehicle build tutorial
@Thero Your twitch videos are all really good, just a bit advanced for me. I'd really like to get into vehicle modding but there aren't very many good or recent tutorials. Is there any way you can make a simple bare bones tutorial? Maybe using a DEV model, add a basic ELS light bar, UV map a simple livery, then export? I'd be willing to pay for it. Also maybe some captions to explain your keystrokes/steps?

LSPDFR+ (Better Traffic Stops, Court System)
Hi @Albo1125 - how do I get the speeding vehicle questions to come up? I use the built-in radar and have pulled people over doing 70+ however the "Do you know why I stopped you" and additional speeding vehicle questions never come up. It's always the default four. I have the most recent version of all plugins, what am I missing?

Keep It Together!
Hi Youtubers - I just uploaded my first mod with all of you guys in mind. It will keep you from having to constantly repair your police vehicle in between scenes and the NPC from looking ratchet af during a pursuit. Head over to the MISC section and give it a whirl. It's simple, yet effective and I can't play without it.

Keep It Together! "KIT"
- 148 downloads
- Version 1.0.0
This is a simple handling.meta modification that reduces the amount of damage police vehicles take. I got tired of my vehicle always looking like a heap-of-crap after my first pursuit. The NPC cops also love to smash through everything so this helps them "keep it together" too. Vehicles will still take standard weapons damage, show paint damage and deform but will remain intact (no more missing bumpers or doors). This mod applies to all "default" LSPDFR police vehicles. Any add-ons or RDE vehicles are not part of "KIT" unless they use a "default" handling line. I may add more lines later. Enjoy!- 3 comments

What is the highest BAC you have seen?
I had a .278 once, I couldn't imagine being able to function at that BAC level - lol.

Wireless Controller Giveaway!
Looks like you win @TheSandwichStealer , lol. Thanks for playing! I know this was kind of stupid but posting "hey, who wants a free controller" seemed stupider, haha. I dig your signature quote too, that's one of my favorites. Oh, PM me your mailing address and I'll ship the controller out to you this week. Thanks and happy LSPDFR'ing!

Code Red Callouts 2.9.7 (Stolen Tanker, Vicious Dog & more!)
Hi, @ScottehBoyy thanks for the response. It's good to know you take an active interest in your callout feedback. It's not a bad callout by any means, but my honest opinion is that it "needs some work". That is all I was trying to highlight with my review. I cannot recall any other callout plugins that simply load callouts without any sort of dispatch audio. Even if the audio is inconsistent with the verbiage listed, there is at least something to alert the player that a callout has triggered. The complete silence caused me to overlook callouts on several occasions because there wasn't any sort of audio alert. This also made me question whether or not I had the plugin installed correctly. I ended up re-downloading and re-installing it several times before realizing it was an issue with the plugin itself. I understand the complexities of the GTA V game engine and that you developers do the best you can, with what you have, but this seems like a shortcut to me. Regarding the Panic Button callout, the dialog seems like it could be condensed into a few well-worded sentences instead of the continuous back and forth fragments. That is more personal opinion than anything else though. Lastly, most other callout plugins come with an ini for the sake of being able to skip undesirable callouts. This allows the player to get more of the callouts they do like, more frequently. I noticed in one of your comments you say the reason you didn't include one is because you "didn't feel like it". This again - to me - feels like a shortcut. I hope my response helps shed some light on my review of your callout plugin. I appreciate all of the time you developers put into making LSPDFR more enjoyable for us all. However, I cannot rate something 5/5 when I feel it's missing some attention to detail that could have gone a long way.

Code Red Callouts 2.9.7 (Stolen Tanker, Vicious Dog & more!)
Needs some work. Don't know if the game updates screwed things up. 3 of the callouts don't have any dispatch sound so I've missed them a couple times (Indecent, Vicious Dog and Refusing to pay). My favorite is the Panic Button but the dialog is too long and the cop ends up letting the perps out of the vehicle before he drives off (after he says he's taking them to the station). There also isn't and INI to customize things. I've removed from my game until we get an update but A for effort nonetheless.

Wireless Controller Giveaway!
Hi Everyone - I have a spare, brand-new wireless controller that I'd like to donate to a good home. I love the LSPDFR community, it definitely helps keep me occupied and has become a real hobby of mine. I have a serious "adult" job (as I'm sure most of you do) so it's nice to come here and "take a load off". I did reach out to LSPDFR staff to see if I could donate the controller directly to the website but never heard back. So I figured I'd put together a little "contest" to see who would benefit most from the donation. Simply tell me who you are, why you play LSPDFR and why you deserve the donation. I'll pick the most compelling story and PM you for mailing details. No gimmicks or nonsense. It's literally this or I chuck the controller in the trash (that adult job pays well, LOL). I'll go first: I'm Nick, 31, I live in Socal and I play LSPDFR cuz I've always been fascinated with police and police cars. I work in the financial industry so LSPDFR is the closets I'll ever get to being a "real cop" driving a "real cop car". I wasn't even into PC games until I stumbled upon some LSPDFR videos on youtube. I bought my first gaming PC just to be able to play it, lol. LSPDFR is fun and ever-evolving (which is my favorite part).

These have become my "default" sheriff skins, love them. I'm just slightly jealous that @Iggy Fresh got the white version. Any chance those may be coming back around for LSSD @BradM ?!

Backup Persistence
I'm pretty sure with Custombackup you can make them stick around for whatever duration of time you specify. I never tried it personally, but I do remember reading about it in the readme file. Give it a try.
-
How do you backup your game?
Exactly. Once you know the changes you have made are good to go, just copy those folders to your backup folder. I have yet to try his DLC pack deal. I'll have to give it a look.

AI damage mod
That's true. It's actually pretty easy to do. I set fCollisionDamageMult to 0.0 and fDeformationDamageMult to 0.35. This still allows some sort of deformation damage but the vehicles stay together and don't look all ratchet 2 minutes into the pursuit.

What is the fastest speed you've seen/stopped?
The one that is part of Albo's Traffic Police (I think?). F5 and page keys to set speed.

What is the fastest speed you've seen/stopped?
Ambient racers clocked at 98, but normal traffic I think the highest was in the 70's.
